Robbie being off his game is hard to watch. And you can see how his mood impacts everything and everyone around him.

The sunburn girl was awesome. Also "You have no idea how much joy that just brought me." Think that was my favorite episode of the season so far.

Loved when they quickly showed her casually walking out of her room and down the hall. Surprised she could move at all with a sunburn that bad.

Navitach Mar 27, 2026 +5
I noticed her walking in the background too. Also, Robby and Santos walk by in the background in another scene. I don't remember for sure, but it seems like that's the first episode where they've done that; usually it's just extras and other goings-on in the background of the main focus of whatever the scene is.

Could’ve been a continuity way to have them elsewhere for the next scene they’re in. The writers/producers have a map of where everyone is and needs to be for each episode so it all makes sense, moving them along in the background proves why they’re in a new place.

Are we off Robby watch and on Santos watch now?

Juunlar Mar 27, 2026 +48
She's generally not suicidal; she uses cutting as a method to cope. But, yes

Additional_Fan_1540 Mar 28, 2026 +3
As a therapist I always say it’s a great coping skill but…… ya know let’s try something else.

Insectshelf3 Mar 27, 2026 +21
i dunno, i think robby is in way worse shape than santos rn.

a_fan_of_grump Mar 28, 2026 +1
I think that’s what they want us to believe.

Everyone's concerned about Robby and Santos, when I think the actual big breakdown is gonna be Mohan

theonewhoknock_s Mar 27, 2026 +18
We should be on everybody's watch in this ED. Except Joy. She seems to have her shit in order lol.

surferdude7227 Mar 27, 2026 +17
Whittaker and McKay also seem to be doing pretty well
17
stonewallace17 Mar 27, 2026 +12
Yeah, they're both crushing it this whole shift while everyone else is falling apart, and seem to be doing relatively solid outside of work. Whittaker's farm girlfriend situation is a little weird but he seems happy with it, McKay just hasn't dated in a while but she's about to fix that after this shift as far as we know.
12
reble02 Mar 27, 2026 +3
>McKay just hasn't dated in a while Which is great for Dr J because that means Mateo is single.

I love Joy so much. Her comment about boundaries was spot on. I need to adopt that mindset at my work too.

I love that this will almost certainly be the last time we see her at all on the show. She doesn't have any interest in working the ER, so once her rotation is done, she's gone. What a great way to leave.

dogsonbubnutt Mar 27, 2026 +28
the only thing that sucks about it is that from everything we've seen, she'd be a GREAT ER doc. but you know what? hell yeah for her. don't take shit.
28
6800ultra Mar 27, 2026 +12
I saw some comments pointing out, that it seems like they have written Ogilvie (is that spelled correctly?) and Joy's character intentionally like that. Ogilvie wants to be an ER Doc, but he's lacking some "qualities" required for it. Joy on the other hand has some of those qualities, but doesn't really want to work the ER. If that was the intention of the writers, than that's some beautiful character development they have written. I also get the feeling, that we don't see Joy again - on the other hand, I kind of have an odd feeling, that we will maybe see one of main characters something happening to them. I don't know if that will be Robbie (which they kind of point towards) or somebody else. Maybe that's will be the cliffhanger to Season 3 - one of the main characters being a (critical?) patient. That could mean, that Season 3 might feature the Night Shift and we might get a whole new roster of characters for Season 3. They could go so many ways story wise - and I am already excited where they will take this series...
12
Navitach Mar 27, 2026 +3
I just realized that Ogilvie was MIA in this episode. Where was he once 6:00 came? Or am I forgetting something from the last episode?
3
stablestabler Mar 27, 2026 +6
Briefly at the beginning they said he scrubbed into one of the patient’s surgery.
6
Navitach Mar 27, 2026 +2
Appreciate it, I had forgotten where he went.
2
6800ultra Mar 27, 2026 +4
He asked the previous episode to scrub in to the OR with one of the patients needing surgery (can't remember right now which patient that was). That's why he was MIA in this episode (and maybe he won't return just like Joy?).

Bored_Worldhopper Mar 27, 2026 +3
The one he gave the book to (that he fucked up on)
3
Navitach Mar 27, 2026 +1
Thanks, I did forget!

Go read my comment for more, but my theory is that Langdon is going to at lthe very least try to kill himself.

Naggins Mar 27, 2026 +3
Has the same very chill calm demeanour as Dr. Shen

Mojoyashka Mar 27, 2026 +12
I didn't care for her at first but now I'm sad that there's going to be less Joy in my life.

Though on an intellectual level I know that The Pitt is not a show that can have a "w*****", nevertheless I feel the w***** of this season is obviously Joy.

dogsonbubnutt Mar 27, 2026 +58
to me one of the most interesting subplots here is dana playing fast and loose with meds in an ED that's currently employing a doctor who _shouldve_ been permanently fired AT MINIMUM. nurses do that kind of thing with scripts constantly, it happens everywhere, but its also a liability bomb waiting to go off and its just another thing hanging over everyone's heads.
58
optimis344 Mar 27, 2026 +32
Which is why Robby is so angry about it. He can't afford an investigation into things right now, and he needs Dana to be there while he isn't. Whether his trip is legit, or he is planning something much more permanent, he needs Dana there to run the ship because he knows that is who is really in charge after him.
32
TheSecondEikonOfFire Mar 27, 2026 +15
Yeah this is tough, because she went full Mama Bear to protect her new nurse, which is commendable. But Robby also isn’t wrong for being upset at her over it, there are valid concerns about her and her potentially losing her job over it
15
DrinkIcy9930 Mar 27, 2026 +5
I know the hospital administrators are the bad guys in this show, but Robbie et al do not make it any easier for them.

I assumed she punched him in the face when i saw her running in then him bleeding

Me seeing Dann Florek: “Captain Cragen, what are you doing here?!”
2
SomethingAboutUpDawg Mar 27, 2026 +11
the ending really confused me, who was that patient that had just been brought in and who was it that the nurse said left 15 hours ago?
11
Ihatereallybadmail Mar 27, 2026 +85
It’s the man who had diabetes who was worried about hospital bills
85
6800ultra Mar 27, 2026 +19
Yep - and besides his health, with him being back in the ER, it looks like he's about be f*cked sideways by medical bills now. Bravo for the writers blatantly pointing out those "flaws" in the system... Poor guy though, hope he will pull through...
19
leanoaktree Mar 28, 2026 +3
Actually if he was injured at work his medical care might be covered by workman’s comp… just a thought
3
noweezernoworld Mar 27, 2026 +32
It was the diabetic guy who kept trying to leave earlier because he wanted to go back to work
32
stonewallace17 Mar 27, 2026 +39
It was less wanting to go back to work and more not being able to afford extended medical care
39
PhanThief95 Mar 28, 2026 +2
That’s Orlando who came in earlier in the shift about his diabetes who was also on his daughter for trying to start a GoFundMe for him.

What is it that Dana is struggling with? is it her assault from season 1? Is anyone else aware of santos's self harming? garcia must know
8
CrissBliss Mar 27, 2026 +36
Yeah Dana basically has PTSD from her assault. She didn’t want the new nurse experiencing the same thing. As far as we know, nobody knows about Santos.
36
Tsunaami Mar 27, 2026 +10
I’d assume Garcia is at least aware of it because they’re hooking up. Hard to hide those kind of scars. Although Santos would probably brush it off and Garcia doesn’t seem the type to pry.
10
Yukie_Cool Mar 28, 2026 +1
I’m not sure Garcia even cares. As both of them admitted, she’s not really emotionally committed in that relationship.
1
optimis344 Mar 27, 2026 +17
She is struggling because she was attacked, but more that her entire profession is under attack. Her and her nurses face the anger of a populous that does not give a shit about them. She is being asked to both stand up and defend her Nurses, but also to do it within rules that the offending patients don't need to follow. She is seeing that nurses are becoming sin eaters. Forced to deal with all the bad things, and then chastised for it.

Trickshot1322 Mar 27, 2026 +1
My 'probably to sensational for this show' theory is that someone is going to kill (or attempt to kill) themselves. But I think it's going to be Langdon. I think everyone seems it in Robbie, the staff, his friends, etc. But look at Langdon. First day back, his once mentor doesn't want a bar of him, he is apologising to everyone he can, Santos is airing out his dirty laundry to anyone who will listen, he's reminiscing on past good times, a patient who had wronged previously and he seems to have cared for deeply died, and more. I think he is going to seem fine for most of his day, then something is going to happen to push him over the edge and he will try to kill himself in the heat and panic of the moment.
1
QueensOfTheNoKnowAge Mar 28, 2026 +3
Yeah. That is too sensational. I could easily see Langdon relapsing, though. Recovery is difficult enough as is, but when the people you spend the majority of your time around (coworkers) don’t support you, it’s nearly impossible to maintain sobriety. Not only is he not getting support, he’s being repeatedly shamed for it. Regardless of how viewers feel about him still being employed, it’s a bad for his sobriety. Maybe he should leave for his own sake. It’s not ideal in my mind, but if his coworkers can’t accept his contrition and debt, then they’re only going to drive him off the deep end.
3
iamacannibal Mar 28, 2026 +2
If something like a suicide attempt happens I would think it is going to be Santos with Langdon finding her and saving her life or maybe being the one to talk her down. I don’t think anything like that is going to happen though
2
TheChrisLambert Mar 28, 2026 +1
This episode too really started to turn the screws a bit on that by having him have some nice guy and happy moment. Makes it feel like they’re setting up a plunge.

As we wait for season 3, check out this interview with the real Dr. Robby and see what she says about what things should be featured in the show - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcNXyKfgGuc&t=3s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcNXyKfgGuc&t=3s)

Since when does HBO make 12 episode seasons

SupervillainMustache Mar 28, 2026
Oh no, Santos had self harm scars on her legs and now she's looking at the scalpel.

Dana and Robby being the two pillars of the Pitt and both falling apart in different ways is very interesting.
