The Pitt fandom is worse than any fandom I’ve ever seen and that includes the superwholock tumblr nonsense of the early 2010s. The online screeching over her characters departure when that was clearly what her arc was coming to is beyond insane

Oh, I don’t think they’ve reached the toxicity, delusion and sense of entitlement of the Superwholock fandom. That was…I can’t even find the words for how awful they were.

Also, we don’t even know the end of the season yet. Maybe she gets an amazing send off?

I’m guessing she doesn’t, but my point is - we don’t KNOW.

As someone who barely survived the post-Game of Thrones fandom meltdown and The Last of Us Part 2 video game meltdown (not really fans on the latter) trust me, you havent seen anything yet

I got that beat this week. There’s some show called The Amazing Digital Circus. The fans cyberbullied the creator into deleting social media accounts because the creator said two of the characters were the main characters. Fans of the other characters were very upset.

Sure, the “not everybody’s gonna realistically be around months later in a revolving door job” makes sense, but why does it feel like the decision was made last minute & blindsiding the actress? IIRC she’d stated in interviews that she was excited to see where they took her character for Season 3; Ganesh had even said that these last few episodes of S2 would be very important for her character. Then Ep 214 was uncharacteristically short & word on the street is that those scenes where cut from the episode. Then she chose not to show up for the Paleyfest panel last minute. It’s not the fact that the actress is leaving or that her character gets written off that bothers me – it’s that it seems like they didn’t even tell her. This following Ifeachor’s exit after S1 that got explained in a single line of dialogue partway into S2.

She never said that, she said last year she was excited for season 3 in general (she hadn’t gotten the script yet at that point). There is no reason to assume she didn’t know the news that her character would be moving on before the rest of us did You literally just made up a fictional scenario and are getting mad at what you made up in your head lol

Unfortunately, acting is a job, and a cut-throat one at that. It is not novel or unique for casting decisions to be last-minute and not involve the actor in any way.

So you’re fine to act like a d*** throwing a temper tantrum, but you draw the line at foul language?

Too many Indians (how dare they show the actual truth of this sector), needed more obvious US left ‘alliance’ minority rep - she is being reportedly replaced as one of the key characters with a female black doctor (from the last 2 episodes, night shift) Anyone spinning any other sh1t reason is deluded. It’s ok, the suits/makers want to shake-up the color of the show. S2 added - East Asian female (1st year), Muslim Arab female (Senior), young black female (nurse), insensitive white d***** guy (1st year). Color me shocked I say. Shocked.
