*Pirates of Silicon Valley* has to be in the conversation of best made for TV movies of all time. Highly re-watchable.

Wow I didn't know this existed! Adding to my list, thanks

CelestialFury Apr 10, 2026 +22
I probably have it on VHS somewhere. I f****** love that movie.
22
xKronkx Apr 10, 2026 +7
I remember that movie used to float around limewire or Kazaa as “hackers 2”. I turned it off as a kid because it wasn’t. I’ve always meant to go back and watch it again now that I know this.

Fortune_Cat Apr 10, 2026 +12
Wtf thats noah wyle??

babaroga73 Apr 10, 2026 +19
And after that he played Steve Jobs on stage presenting new Apple products, for a goof. https://youtu.be/UTlVvpHCrjw?si=zb9k5rT4KCxRfAXf

RandallOfLegend Apr 10, 2026 +4
I forgot about that movie. It was excellent

TheFrontCrashesFirst Apr 10, 2026 +5
I think about it like once a week. Was that on TNT? Man they were on it in the late 90s
5
nofishies Apr 10, 2026 +3
You just don’t get it Steve! It doesn’t matter
3
yachtr0ck Apr 10, 2026 +2
It is a really good watch! We watched it at work when I worked at Apple, lol. This was before Steve passed.

PowerSurged Apr 10, 2026 +1
I got the loot Steve! 😆

HanIylands Apr 10, 2026 +1
It’s a great movie, I rewatch it often.

Burgoonius Apr 11, 2026 +1
I didn’t realize how much he looks like him lol

RyanTranquil Apr 11, 2026 +1
Watched it so many times, still great
1
Dairy_Ashford Apr 10, 2026 +17
with Anthony Michael Hall's reversion from Edward Scissorhands jock back to John Hughes nerd as Bill Gates It sucks that that good a TV movie didn't think to have a post-Y2K sequel
17
Omnitographer Apr 10, 2026 +29
Wait, wait. Doctor Robby was Steve Jobs in my favorite movie about the tech industry? You just blew my mind!
29
PerforatedPie Apr 10, 2026 +13
Apparently he was also in ER lots, and Donnie Darko.
13
Azafuse Apr 10, 2026 +29
"also"????? Dr. Carter is TV history and still, by far, the thing he is known for.
29
DJFisticuffs Apr 10, 2026 +20
Lol he was in the most ER episodes of anyone and he was the main character after Clooney left.
20
Salt-Operation Apr 10, 2026 +20
He was a main character from pretty much the first episode lol
20
ThePrussianGrippe Apr 10, 2026 +11
He was in ER from the very first episode!
11
PerforatedPie Apr 11, 2026 +1
Yeah hah I'm a bit of an idiot, never really watched the show, only really know that George Clooney was in it. But maybe I do kind of recognise Noah's young, beardless face, now that I think about it.
1
OdoWanKenobi Apr 10, 2026 +7
.....ER is where the vast majority of people know him from, my dude.
7
justinsharkey Apr 10, 2026 +3
If he didn’t play Steve Jobs I would never have watched The Librarians which is one of my favorite shows of all time.
3
Mistervimes65 Apr 10, 2026 +3
His role in Swing Kids as the kid that joined the Nazi Youth was impressive. He’s got incredible range.
3
Vlaun Apr 10, 2026 +2
It's where I knew Noah from - Pirates of Silicon Valley. It's a great movie. As great as Michael Fassbender was as Steve Jobs, Noah's is still best imo. Also, a side note: Bender's (and Wakka's) voice actor, John DiMaggio, plays Steve Ballmer in that movie too.
2
RyanTranquil Apr 11, 2026 +2
Pirates still one of my fav movies
2
Dianagorgon Apr 10, 2026 +321
His career resurgence is impressive. I can't think of any high profile TV show or movie he was in after ER and now over 30 years later he is a producer and lead actor in a popular TV show and won every award he was nominated for. I can't think of many other actors who had a 20 year break between successful TV shows. Maybe Aniston who was in Friends and then TMS over 30 years later but she was in several movies prior to that.
321
styln55 Apr 10, 2026 +193
I always liked him. Falling skies was cool and the TV movies he did were fun, The Librarian. Honestly didn't know he was on ER lol
193
ser_44_zel Apr 10, 2026 +67
They also made a TV show (2 actually) for The Librarian.
67
joshuads Apr 10, 2026 +24
Wyle was a writer director and producer for The Librarians TV show.
24
ButtPlugForPM Apr 10, 2026 +19
He made a shitload of money on that 2 for some weird reason it did REALLY well in sydnication markets to the point he sold his back end rights to it for some figure that was a pretty big chunk of change
19
joshuads Apr 10, 2026 +16
> for some weird reason it did REALLY well in syndication markets It was a really good show for kids who were past kids shows but who were not ready for stuff with a lot of sex or realistic violence. My kids loved it. There is not a ton of stuff like that.
16
ButtPlugForPM Apr 10, 2026 +3
It cops a lot of shit. But it was fine. God damn was the CGI bad...but all tv cgi was back then lol. it never really tried to be anything more than what it was...which a lot of shows should try doing more often
3
adaminc Apr 10, 2026 +4
There are 3 Librarian movies too.
4
ser_44_zel Apr 10, 2026 +4
Yes. I was mentioning that there were two series made, not just movies
4
adaminc Apr 10, 2026 +3
I know. I am just adding that there are also 3 movies.
3
iamjamir Apr 10, 2026 +15
yeah I know him from Falling skies
15
President_Skoad Apr 10, 2026 +9
Same. Don't recall seeing him in anything else, but I really enjoyed Falling Skies.
9
PerforatedPie Apr 10, 2026 +31
He was in like 250 episodes of ER apparently lmao
31
Throwmesomestuff Apr 10, 2026 +41
Lol, he's as close to a protagonist as ER had
41
BizzyM Apr 10, 2026 +38
Considering how it started and ended, you could argue that he was the central character in the entire series.
38
Commercial-Lack6279 Apr 10, 2026 +13
After ER his character moved to Pittsburgh and changed his name and became Dr. Robbie
13
yachtr0ck Apr 10, 2026 +2
Yeah, my head canon has him having to go into hiding and changing his name because the Carter family was linked to some dark shit.
2
PerforatedPie Apr 11, 2026 +2
Shhh, don't give them ideas, they'll start chasing for licensing revenue they refused to agree on!
2
HesitationIsDefeat87 Apr 10, 2026 +22
His character arc in that show is arguably the greatest story in television history
22
greed-man Apr 10, 2026 +11
And I LOVE how they tied it all together at the very end. Ep 1 was him as Dr. Carter, a new student at this hospital, who would later be mentored by Dr. Green. A common thing was Dr. Green saying "Coming Dr. Carter?" Ep 331 was Dr. Carter standing outside the ER, overseeing a mass casualty arrival. Dr. Green's daughter, Rachel, is a brand new resident on her first day, just watching. As they all move inside, Dr. Carter turns to Rachel and says "Coming Dr. Green?" And, cut.
11
HesitationIsDefeat87 Apr 10, 2026 +4
He set the tone!
4
JustineDelarge Apr 10, 2026 +37
He’s great in The Librarian, and Leverage.
37
DJFisticuffs Apr 10, 2026 +22
The Pitt was initially developed as an ER reboot with Wyle reprising his role from ER. They couldn't reach an agreement with Michael Chrichton's wife so they dropped the ER connection and just made it about different characters at a different hospital. Chrichton's wife sued and the lawsuit is ongoing.
22
TurnOfFraise Apr 10, 2026 +15
This is silly. She had her chance and just because it’s another hospital show doesn’t mean it’s ER.
15
ScyllaOfTheDepths Apr 10, 2026 +4
The lawsuit is never getting anywhere. Plagiarism lawsuits like this are so hard to litigate due to the very nebulous nature of what constitutes an original concept in intellectual property. I think maybe a handful of such cases have ever been won and those were incredibly blatant with almost no ambiguity. The Pitt is really nothing like ER. ER might have been more gritty and realistic for its time, but it was still very much a cheesy network doctor show with lots of stupid relationship drama, slapstick bits, and stupid medical nonsense like them performing surgery on a dog that got hit by a car. The Pitt has a much darker more urgent and raw feeling.
4
DJFisticuffs Apr 10, 2026 +2
I haven't read the filings or the contracts at issue, but generally I think agree with you. On the other hand, the allegations are that the plot for the ER reboot was that the season would take place in real time over a single shift and focus on Noah Wyle's character, who is old and grizzled now, and how he finds new purpose and reconnects with his profession. This was supposed to mirror the pilot episode of ER which took place over a single shift amd featured Anthony Edwards as the grizzled ER chief resident and Noah Wyle as the bright eyed young medical student. I used to watch a lot of ER (it was on syndication on TNT when I was in college) and I have trouble seeing the PITT as anything other than a continuation of Noah Wyle's character's story, so I think the Chrichton estate at least has a plausible argument.
2
TurnOfFraise Apr 10, 2026 +3
A lot of shows have taken place over a limited amount of time. It’s not a new or radical concept.
3
DJFisticuffs Apr 10, 2026 +2
No doubt, and if they had just made the show without saying anything about being an ER reboot they could have called it a "spiritual successor" or whatever and been fine. That they sat down with the Chrichton estate, described the show and how it relates to ER, and then made the exact same show after they couldn't come to terms gives the estate a plausible argument that the Pitt is a derivative work even without an explicit ER connection.
2
TurnOfFraise Apr 10, 2026 +1
I suppose we’ll have to see how it all ends up, though I do feel the Chrichton estate is sour grapes over the success
1
DJFisticuffs Apr 10, 2026 +1
They filed suit before the show came out. They first sought an injunction to prevent the show from airing entirely, which they lost.
1
14u2c Apr 11, 2026 +1
Well, I certainly don’t think we’ve seen >!finds new purpose and reconnects with his profession!< yet.
1
Fortune_Cat Apr 10, 2026 +8
I know him as the wise bearded leading man you seek out during archeaological and post apocalyptic scenarios
8
antinous24 Apr 10, 2026 +3
His story on ER was, imo, the best character arc on the show. med student to doctor >!to trauma to addict to recovery to wisdom and growth.!< truly the heart of a lot of ER
3
MrSyaoranLi Apr 11, 2026 +2
Holy shit I never realised that was him in The Librarians
2
KillroysGhost Apr 10, 2026 +3
You just blew my mind, I had no idea that was him in The Librarian. It’s the beard
3
wunderl-ck Apr 10, 2026 +62
And he’s playing the same character as he did in ER :). Just that character aged 30 years :).
62
MikeDubbz Apr 10, 2026 +81
That's not a coincidence. The Pitt was originally supposed to be a spinoff for his character in ER, but they couldn't secure rights or whatever, so they just removed the blatant connections to ER, and otherwise kept everything the same as they had envisioned it.
81
Mender0fRoads Apr 10, 2026 +26
Whether they removed the “blatant connections to ER” is still an open question, legally. The Crichton estate has an open lawsuit with Warner Bros over the show, which as you note was originally conceived as an ER reboot. It got far enough to being official that they had press releases drafted up announcing the reboot, with Crichton’s widow as an executive producer. They then changed a few details and cut her out. (Or at least that’s what the suit alleges.) The issue doesn’t seem to be about securing the rights. They were actively working with her initially and could have had the rights. Seems more like they either decided they didn’t want to *pay* for the rights or (in their view) decided a similar but different show would be better and chose to move on without them.
26
Fishb20 Apr 10, 2026 +38
I mean, I doubt the pitt would have a rabid fanbase of mentally ill 21 year olds (I mean it endearingly) if it was called ER: One Last Day or something. Even if it was because of Mrs. Crichton asking for too much money I think it's hard to say that the Pitt didn't end up benefiting from creating its own lore and backstory.seperate from ER. If they did enough to legally separate the concepts is for the court to say not me, but I think it ended up helping the pitt in the long run
38
blotsfan Apr 10, 2026 +29
Yeah I’m not a mentally ill 21 year old but I wouldn’t have watched it if it was just another reboot of an old show I never watched.
29
BagOnuts Apr 10, 2026 +9
Same. Literally my favorite show on TV right now, but i probably wouldn’t even be watching if it was framed as an ER reboot
9
Dianagorgon Apr 10, 2026 +19
>they were actively working with her initially and could have had the rights. Seems more like they either decided they didn’t want to *pay* for the rights or (in their view) decided a similar but different show would be better and chose to move on without them. I think the issue was how much money Crichton's wife wanted. I can't find the number now but it was a lot and would have made it difficult for The Pitt to be profitable. His estate has already gotten almost $300M from ER. >As we mentioned earlier, Warner Bros. has made at least $3.5 billion from the series through its 15-season run and long after, thanks to syndication, DVD sales, and streaming rights. >And the Crichton estate's actual lawsuit court filings give us even more detail. According to the lawsuit, Michael's 1994 contract guaranteed him: >17.5% share of Adjusted Gross Profits, one of the richest backend deals ever granted to a TV creator >According to the lawsuit and the estate's lawyers, that backend ultimately paid out the equivalent of about $800,000 per episode — revenue tied to syndication, international sales, and streaming. Multiply that by 331 episodes and you get… >$264,800,000 >And when you add the $16 million he made while the show was being produced, that brings Crichton's total ER windfall to… >$280,800,000 >It's one of the largest creator payouts in television history.
19
xtothewhy Apr 10, 2026 +12
Thought that was resolved and Crichton's wife did not win the judgement.
12
Mender0fRoads Apr 10, 2026 +1
Could’ve been. I searched but couldn’t find any new info since last year.
1
MikeDubbz Apr 10, 2026 +5
Yeah, that's pretty much what I gathered: a logistical headache where they figured, 'who even cares? Let's just give them a medical drama built on a foundation that works even if we can't explicitly say that foundation is canon to a previous series or not.'
5
Zalvren Apr 10, 2026 +4
I don't even see the point it would have to be honest. I guess some additional early marketing by it being a known brand? But it's not like ER is anything special. It's just in an emergency department like many other medical shows.
4
notthatgeorge Apr 10, 2026 +2
The problem is they don't make a different show than what she was working with them on, hence the lawsuit
2
DicemonkeyDrunk Apr 10, 2026 +10
He’s always playing the same character.
10
oorakhhye Apr 11, 2026 +1
Different character but the spiritual successor.
1
MikeDubbz Apr 10, 2026 +21
Ted Danson. Enough said. He can take all the time he wants off between shows and it doesn't matter. He will always be marketable on his TV presence and nothing more.
21
tasslehawf Apr 10, 2026 +9
He entire Librarian franchise?
9
ButtPlugForPM Apr 10, 2026 +7
I mean really he's only not been on a tv show in 3 years of the last 16 thats pretty good. he was in falling skies and the librarian series. so he hasn't been hurting
7
LamonicasHubster Apr 10, 2026 +4
Kim Fields is a good example of this as well, right after living single she was directing and doing little cameos here and there but she didn’t star in another tv show until 20 years later with The Upshaws which is one of the best comedies/sitcoms in the last 10 years, can’t make it through a scene without laughing
4
Dianagorgon Apr 10, 2026 +4
I love the Upshaws. According to Epps it ended because the writers didn't get along which is frustrating.
4
LamonicasHubster Apr 10, 2026 +1
sucks to see so many good shows just keep getting canned
1
MikeDubbz Apr 10, 2026 +11
I'm sure everyone by now is aware, but The Pitt was originally supposed to be a spinoff of ER, but the rights couldn't be cleared or whatever, so they just changed names and whatnot, but kept everything otherwise the same. So essentially, what we have now is an ER spinoff in everything but name.
11
spacejam999 Apr 10, 2026 +5
He made so many popular tv shows tho
5
MF_D00MSDAY Apr 10, 2026 +2
I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus counts
2
CutePuppyforPrez Apr 10, 2026 +3
I think she won an Emmy for The New Adventures of Old Christine, between Seinfeld and Veep.
3
drifter100 Apr 10, 2026 +2
I’m sure if you look at his IMDb page he has been steadily acting in this 20 years.
2
Shittynyc Apr 10, 2026 +2
Bryan Cranston
2
jonathanrdt Apr 10, 2026 +1
He also has writing and exec producer credits. He's made a big contribution to the show.
1
missvicky1025 Apr 10, 2026 +1
Tom Selleck, between Magnum PI and Blue Bloods. He had a few movies, shows, and guest appearances in between, but there was a huge gap between the 2 huge shows he was on.
1
CutePuppyforPrez Apr 10, 2026 +3
He did a year as a regular on Las Vegas after James Caan left.
3

Who paid the $75k fee? Probably Shawn Hatosy. That dude seems like a sweet bro.
81
FX114 Apr 10, 2026 +36
Probably Warner Brothers.
36
Awsomethingy Apr 10, 2026 +20
Yeah this does great publicity for The Pitt
20
nowhereman136 Apr 10, 2026 +21
Warner likely nominated him and paid the fee. Very convenient that he gets a star a week before the season 2 finale
21
UHeardAboutPluto Apr 10, 2026 +5
I demand that they give Shawn Hatosy a star and a Dr. Abbot spinoff prequel or at least The Pitt:After Dark focusing on Hatosy
5
tfhermobwoayway Apr 11, 2026 +2
Wait it costs money to have your name on the Walk of Fame? I thought it was an award?
2
idkalan Apr 11, 2026 +2
It costs money to make the star itself, to fund the ceremony, and for upkeep should the star get damaged. They also don't allow the one getting a star to pay for it, it has to be a 3rd party.
2
jbkites Apr 10, 2026 +34
It seems odd that no actors from ER or the Pitt were there, no?
34
darthdiablo Apr 10, 2026 +9
Yeah, I'm slightly surprised Noah Wyle didn't _already_ have a Hollywood star before this.
9
notthatgeorge Apr 10, 2026 -2
The rumors are he's a real a****** to work with, maybe the rumors are true
-2
notthatgeorge Apr 10, 2026 +17
It doesn't matter if you're a producer or an actor on a show, if you're a d*** people aren't going to show up for you. It's very telling that nobody from the Pitt or ER showed up to support him. Also a lot of actors are producers and executive producers on shows, it doesn't necessarily mean anything more than a title.
17
sumofawitch Apr 11, 2026 +3
He's a Zionist and has other "controversies" in his life
3
Legitimate-Light-131 Apr 18, 2026 +2
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this, Noah Wyle himself has admitted that he treated his ER colleagues so terribly that he owes them an apology.
2
megamanxzero35 Apr 10, 2026
I think he’s had a lot of creative input into some of his bigger projects. He was a producer for Falling Skies from season 2 til the end and same with The Librarians, he was an executive producer. Probably leads to some of it.
0
spacemcdonalds Apr 11, 2026 +1
Many are working, off Broadway, other ventures, or would rather not go and stand on a Hollywood street for a few hours I guess
1
Boggie135 Apr 10, 2026 +12
Time to rewatch *Falling Skies*
12
louiloui152 Apr 11, 2026 +2
He did a great job as Tom Mason!
2
CaravelClerihew Apr 10, 2026 +122
Before people go all "Well, someone just paid for it!" Yes, its paid for - usually by PR people - and actually relatively c****. However, it still has to be approved by a committee. I can actually afford a star myself but I doubt they'd give me one.
122
nowhereman136 Apr 10, 2026 +5
The committee says they get thousands of nominations a year and only select about 2 dozen. It's still considered a great honor in the industry
5
wip30ut Apr 10, 2026 +2
actors/celebs typically contact the committee members before to gauge the response to their candidacy. And many actors (like Noah Wyle) could have applied for a star before but their sagging career & underachievement after their string of hits gives them pause. Actors hate to feel that the Star on the walk of fame is some kind of consolation prize for a career that fizzled out.
2
Kind-Shallot3603 Apr 10, 2026 +16
Yes we understand you don't like being reminded that this is a vanity award. The reason people point this out is because it is not a earned award. You pay for it one way or the other.
16
ucd_pete Apr 10, 2026 +37
> it is not a earned award It is an earned award
37
OneBigBug Apr 10, 2026
It's not earned the way..say...an Olympic medal is earned, where you (most of the time) competed against everyone in an open competition, and proved you were better than the rest of the people who aren't getting that award. But I guess a PhD works in a kind of similar way. A group of people in charge of awarding it agrees that you earned it by whatever their somewhat subjective criteria are, and you paid them enough money to award it to you, so you earned it. Lots of things people generally consider to be "earned" work that way, too. I suppose the distinction comes down to if the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is an organization that we collectively believe has the integrity to deny people who *aren't* deserving of whatever accolade we think this is supposed to represent. As a kid, hearing about the walk of fame, it definitely wasn't obvious to me that the whole thing was administered by a group that is comprised of like...people who own dentists' and lawyers' offices, hotels, catering companies, etc. from the Hollywood area. As an adult, I'm not really sure who I *would* trust to be some sort of official judge of such things, but...such is the disillusionment of realizing that all authority is kind of contrived and fake. Noah Wyle seems great, and none of this is really hurting anyone, so I'm not sure it's worth really getting too bent out of shape about either way.
0
ArthurSeat2019 Apr 10, 2026 +11
You don’t pay for a PhD?
11
theArtOfProgramming Apr 10, 2026 +6
Most PhDs are actually fully funded and they pay the student. Not like a scholarship, more like a job. Many people advise that one should not do a PhD unless it is paid.
6
ArthurSeat2019 Apr 10, 2026 +4
Thats what i thought too - the student doing the PhD is the product, and the University pays them to do it
4
_PM_ME_PANGOLINS_ Apr 10, 2026 +1
Government research councils, philanthropists, and businesses pay for them. The University is just the middle-man.
1
phejster Apr 10, 2026 +2
Our pedo president has a star, it's never been earned.
2
im_on_the_case Apr 10, 2026 +13
Well somebody pays for it and it usually isn't the recipient. Often a fan club, a studio, agency or some group that feels the person deserves the star and has "earned" it which the committee confirms.
13
CelestialFury Apr 10, 2026 +8
Some people get so bent out of shape about the Hollywood Stars and I'm honestly baffled by it. There's a set of requirements you need to meet and the entry fee to maintain the star forever. Once you meet those requirements, you've earned it.
8
greed-man Apr 10, 2026 +1
They are losing money on the Donald Trump star, as it is defaced almost on a daily basis. Lots of maintenance on that one.
1
CaravelClerihew Apr 10, 2026 +1
I mean, it's earned at least in part. Wyle has been in the industry for decades and only just got his star now, and no one would dispute why.
1
Awsomethingy Apr 10, 2026 +1
Did you read the comment you were replying to? Their point is that you have to pay to put it in the ground, but you have to earn it to be allowed to. So the actors get the “award” and then the studio/agency pays to put in the ground for publicity for the project that won them the award The person you were replying to literally said they could afford one but *can’t* have one because they haven’t earned it

Yeah these actors probably probably pay to be considered all the time. Conversely, Keith David just got in and he’s been acting since the 70’s, and he only got in because his family surprised him for his birthday by (hoping) he’d be selected.

This is a listnookor’s favorite thing to point out, thanks for nipping that dumb argument in the bud.

Maybe if you produce a pageant?

ScrewAttackThis Apr 10, 2026 +1
I've always wondered who people think are supposed to pay for building/maintaining this private tourist attraction if not the celebrities themselves
1
OneBigBug Apr 10, 2026 -4
>and actually relatively c**** It's $85,000. I'm not sure I'd describe that as c****, regardless of if you can afford it. Like, I've definitely bought cheaper sidewalk tiles...I even made one that had my name on it when I was in grade school. Pretty sure it didn't cost $85k.

Meldanorama Apr 10, 2026 +4
Considering the price  range theyd likely go for if people could just buy them caravel is right.

Nukleon Apr 10, 2026 +4
For a PR campaign that is peanuts

I like his work in The Librarians and Leverage: Redemption.
7
frank1934 Apr 10, 2026 +3
I really hope he can get old ER people to guest star on the show
3
Legitimate-Light-131 Apr 18, 2026 +1
Seems unlikely given that none of his ER costars even showed up to this ceremony and that he himself has admitted that he treated them terribly on that show.
1
TomBirkenstock Apr 10, 2026 +9
Um, I think you mean Noah Wyle, star of the Librarian movies.
9
Turbulent-Jaguar-909 Apr 10, 2026 +3
You mean the greatest trilogy of all time
3
petare33 Apr 10, 2026 +4
My favorite thing about him and the entire cast of the Pitt is how normal they look. Wrinkles, imperfect teeth, baggy eyes, faces that aren't frozen, grown-in haircuts. It's humanizing and refreshing.
4
DeLoresDelorean Apr 10, 2026 +2
He’s amazing on the Pitt.
2
Puppet_Master_2501 Apr 10, 2026 +2
I’m kind of surprised he didn’t already have one. I thought after ER it was a given.
2
NTP9766 Apr 10, 2026 +5
Just your humble Librarian with his own star. Well deserved.

A zionist and an a******. Glad none of his co-stars showed up for him.

Why are people ignoring this :(

Anyone receives a star these days.

He didn't have one from his work on ER?
1
tuepm Apr 10, 2026 +1
I honestly think I see at least one article about the pitt on listnook every single day
1
DoomWad Apr 10, 2026 +1
So watch out, Laszlo Panaflex!
1
PipChaos Apr 11, 2026 +1
From what I've watched on The Pitt, the man deserves it

I'm happy for him, I've liked him in everything he's done, and he has the exact same birthday as me.

DOuGHtOp Apr 10, 2026
We really moved on quick when it came to him not knowing his coworkers names

No-Stage-4583 Apr 10, 2026
Kinda loses its lustre when you realize homie had to pay for his own star
0
Nuo_Vibro Apr 10, 2026 +2
They pay for them themselves so meh
2
CostChange Apr 10, 2026 -1
I also received things when I pay for them.
-1
louie3723jr Apr 10, 2026 +1
They’re giving out stars to anybody these days lol
1
Hellfire242 Apr 10, 2026 -6
More like “pays for star on “walk of fame” tbh.
-6
CelestialFury Apr 10, 2026
Someone pays for all awards one way or another. Would it be better for one super rich guy to leave a trust behind to pay for them all and an elite committee gets to decide who is worthy and who isn't?
0
The_Saiyann Apr 10, 2026 -3
Exactly. Since I learned they pay for it, I find it more cringe than anything.
-3
Stingray88 Apr 10, 2026 +2
Same cynical comments on every post about the walk of fame. The fee goes into a trust to maintain the star, which is part of a public sidewalk, in perpetuity. It’s still earned via notoriety in their field of the industry. Not just anyone can go buy one, you have to be nominated and the committee has to accept your nomination. They only give out 20-30 a year.
2
RecognitionOne395 Apr 10, 2026 -1
You mean “purchased his Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame”
-1
AnyKangaroo8851 Apr 10, 2026
Well deserved. Congratulations!

I love a good shittake in the wild.
1
kankoh23 Apr 10, 2026
I havnt seen this show yet but what’s with the constant hype about the show. I swear every week there’s a story glazing this show as if it’s the greatest medical show in all of television. Hasn’t scrubs or greys anatomy kinda tried this and received praise from the critics?
0
bnuuug Apr 11, 2026 +7
it's a good show. Scrubs and Grey's anatomy are two of the most inapt comparisons you could make
7
inmatenumberseven Apr 11, 2026 +3
Pretty simple. It's well written, well acted, well directed and it's a hit. 🤷‍♂️
3
MSochist Apr 11, 2026 +1
Yeah I check this sub's top posts everyday and The Pitt is always at the top.

...already?

MisterFingerstyle Apr 10, 2026
Celebrities buy these stars. They don’t receive them. They literally spent thousands. It is an honor you give yourself I guess.
0
Intelligent_Dot_7798 Apr 10, 2026
Dear studio system, please stop trying to make “fetch” happen. We all see what you’re doing. We get it it’s the only studio show filming in Los Angeles of any note. But funding for it to win Emmy awards and Golden Globes and paying for Noah to get a walk of fame star all in the same 3 to 6 month period is a little aggressive. I promise you, Pitt is not going to be the pillar of strength your looking for.

KennyBlankenship_69 Apr 10, 2026
Congrats on paying for your name to be on a sidewalk!
0
Bazinga_U_Bitch Apr 10, 2026
You pay for a star, you don't just receive one. Homie paid to have a star.
0
thenewbae Apr 10, 2026
From one hit show?? Damn star is like candy now
0
Skipper_420 Apr 10, 2026
not really much of an achievement when you can just buy a star
0
UncleDuude Apr 10, 2026 -1
They buy them. There’s no awarding. It’s a publicity thing, smoke and mirrors
-1
Initial-Lead-2814 Apr 10, 2026
You buy the star dont you, you pay for it
0
smilysmilysmooch Apr 10, 2026 +2
Not necessarily. Someone can buy it for you. That would be a pretty big honor for me if someone says "I like you so much I'm going to buy you a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame."
2
johnnytom Apr 10, 2026 -1
“The Pitt' actor Noah Wyle BUYS star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.” There I fixed it. Last time I looked it costs 70k to get a star on the walk.
-1
PaulSarlo Apr 10, 2026
How much did it cost him to buy him one? Or was it a birthday gift or something?
0
13isurus Apr 10, 2026
Those famous actors actually have to pay up to get their Hollywood Walk of Fame Sidewalk Stars, something to the tune of $75,000 out of their own pocket as "sponsorship fee".
0
habrasangre Apr 10, 2026
You know these stars are bullshit right?
0
Kitkatt1959 Apr 10, 2026
I’ve never understood the honor of this when they have to dish out 85K for it.
