Didn’t he just basically do karaoke to his own music? Which is lazy as hell.
11
geenaleigh 5 days ago +8
He sang a full 30+ song set. That was incredibly overblown.
8
Useful-Soup8161 5 days ago +1
Damn how long was his set? There’s not usually time for that many songs.
1
geenaleigh 5 days ago +3
Headliners get 90 minute sets. So that tracks with the amount of songs.  I watched this weekends performance after the stories came out from week 1 and honestly it was a great set. He had a lot of fun and was totally into connecting with the fans. He just like minimalist performances.
3
Normal_Pace7374 5 days ago +2
His week 2 was a fantastic performance. Really showcased how good his adult voice is. Prefacing a comeback tour.

Beibers pretty f****** lame. Sucks he was abused, but nonetheless.....
10

He’s quite talented, not sure what you mean by
8
kegster2 5 days ago +14
Unsure if talented and lameness are correlated
14
Wellcomefarewell 5 days ago +18
typing “i just don’t like him” is an easier way to convey what you’re conveying
18
CoolBakedBean 5 days ago -4
what makes someone lame then? in my head , being a talented singer is by definition not lame lol. it makes you super cool . idk i guess i don’t hate on anyone tho. everything is pretty awesome like they say in the lego movie. but yeah man, whenever i hear beauty and a beat… it him singing in “stay” when i used to drink i loved that f****** shit. justin bieber is popular for a reason. his voice is great and he has musical talent. justin is not lame!
-4
kegster2 5 days ago +1
I’m saying your level of talent does not directly dictate your level of lameness
1
aaronappleseed 5 days ago +1
Being talented has nothing to do with a person's personality. I don't know Justin Bieber personally, but I wouldn't begrudge anyone who has paid a little attention to him for thinking he was lame.
1
CoolBakedBean 5 days ago -2
talent is a huge part of someone’s personality lmao what you talking about
-2
aaronappleseed 5 days ago +3
You've never met a really talented person whose personality was garbage? I'm sure Kanye, Bill Cosby, and Shia LeBeouf all have great personalities as well, since they are talented.
3
CoolBakedBean 5 days ago -2
ah i see, you’re illiterate. talent is a part of everyone’s personality, including bill cosby. he’s a rapist and an awful person. but i wouldn’t call him lame. his talent and comedy show the cool sides of his personality

-1
The-Narcissist 5 days ago -2
Bieber is the truth and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like that type of music. Him bringing MK gee up to play daisies is one of my favorite live performances. Nothing cooler than hopping in my car and hearing a random new song on the radio and being like “wait this has to be the MK gee tascam ranger baritone crunch” and lo-and-behold it was. He gave a stripped down Yukon performance a few weeks ago that was top tier. Hating things because others do is so high school.

This is so refreshing to see. Most modern day bands, DJ’s and pop would never. They’re too afraid
54
NailingCatsToTrees_ 5 days ago +9
Most modern *mainstream* bands. This is extremely common in the metal scene.
9
The-Narcissist 5 days ago +2
Same with the punk scene but obviously they don’t have huge mainstream sponsors and labels that will drop their ass if they do something like this. It’s different.
2
NailingCatsToTrees_ 5 days ago +1
Yes, it is different. The obscure metal and punk bands aren't in it for the money. These millionaire popstars can absolutely afford to lose a sponsor over speaking out. They just won't because they're in it for the money, not the message.

I didn't say that, but I don't disagree..... At least for me it's also directly related to the people I've met who live there or are from there. The state itself is "meh". Eta: also not like I'm claiming my state is good, I hate it here and I'd love to leave.

Some New Yorkers hate the city and theyre not conservatives.  What was it that they said exactly?
25
Tezerel 5 days ago +2
They made a joke, I don't remember exactly how it went but it was essentially asking which was worse homeless people or California It was really weird to say in SF. Outside Lands
2
Low_Intention_1327 5 days ago +4
Lol my cousin went to Hollywood and said there were a lot of homeless people. I think it was a joke, stupid but a joke
4
AphexTaco 5 days ago +3
Idk if you’ve ever been to real Hollywood proper but there are objectively a ton of homeless people there compared to the rest of California - the name carries no weight
3
Low_Intention_1327 5 days ago -1
No, I should have wrote my last response better. Were from NY, the town I live in itself has homeless people on Mainstreet, so were used to it. He was just taken back by how many there were in Hollywood. I dont know if he went to other areas, I forget. But yeah, he didnt say he hated California,  but the homeless problem seems to be a biggie. Going in with no knowledge of Hollywood other than it being an area rich in movie stars, you wouldn't expect it to have so many homeless. Youd expect that in South central, or other areas. Ive never been though.

AaronRulesALot 5 days ago -5
Theres about 40 other states, half of them bumfuck red states, objectively worse than cali. Does traffic not exist in other states? Is that the end all be all? lol cali haters are actually manufactured bots
-5
IPissExcellentThrows 5 days ago +7
[literally first link I could find has California with worst traffic in the nation](https://tripnet.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Interstate_Overdrive_Magazine_06-24-2021.pdf) I promise you when people are saying California sucks, it's not the weather. It's beautiful. It's the traffic, the taxes/cost of living, and most importantly, the most arrogant people in the country, who can't even acknowledge blatant flaws in their state.
7
Hutch_travis 5 days ago +1
California may have more “limousine liberals” and NIMBY Karen’s too. Thus why Julian is extra critical.
1
AaronRulesALot 5 days ago -2
Is traffic really end all be all? There’s prolly 10 other blue states better in those regards, I’ll give u that. I live in socal btw not LA. If u live in the city I don’t think it’s crazy to expect some traffic. Also the cost is high cuz everybody wants to live here man what can I say. It’s hyped up for a reason. It can be better, like they’re building a lot around me now but we need more housing for sure. Think that’s a problem across all the states and it’s looking like dems are waking up to that. Also not to sound arrogant myself but half this country are filled with actually ignorant, awkward, racist losers in bum f*** states and counties voting for the destruction of the nation whilst saying it’s California that’s the problem somehow lol It’s prolly the most diverse and makes THE most money compared to all others. Beside New York, it’s prolly the quintessential example of what a true American f****** state is and should strive to be.
-2
InThreeWordsTheySaid 5 days ago +6
Sitting in traffic fucks you up, mentally and physically. Not that it’s the end all be all, but I moved to get away from it. I moved from New York though, which also has traffic (but better public transportation than LA, at least). I see NYC and the more populated parts of California as more or less the same: awesome if you can afford to avoid all the bullshit. Which I cannot.
6
AaronRulesALot 5 days ago
Yea that’s fair, but I’d never go as far to say as the states of cali and New York are terrible just because of the traffic. It’s disregarding like 10 more important things, like laws/rights, healthcare access, quality of life, opportunity, diversity, beauty/cleanliness, etc, which California excels at all.
0
AmarilloArmadillos 5 days ago +4
Quality of life. You mean one of the states topping per capita in homelessness, and also with the worst air quality, and that's not even touching your water problem. Yeah. Excels.
4
Troviel 5 days ago +1
As the current economy shows "making the most money" is not necessarily the plus you mean for the average joe when a lot of that is concentrated in some selective fields.
1
AaronRulesALot 4 days ago +1
I think the average Joe here has more better quality of life than at least like 35 other states. More opportunity. More rights. Can u seriously say California is a trash state? It sounds so stupid to say bro I need u to concede that Edit: I’ll do u one better, name me 3 better states than Cali and why.

The part Americans don't get is how much the rest of the world hates them. They should be careful. as they need to stay strong for the coming corporate wars. New alliances will be formed and reformed and in the end four corporations will rule what is left of the world.

It's not really "fiery" when these have been talking points outside the states for like 40 years
-12
SaMonkeyBoy 5 days ago +3
It's fiery here in the states because public opinion on Israel has plummeted dramatically in the last few years, but it's still a very controversial opinion to have. Until videos of the most recent Gaza war started to pop up on social media, most people here didn't have any thought towards Israel, especially younger millenials and Gen Z. The same goes for the US involvement in other countries throughout history. While we definitely knew about it, it wasn't a hot button issue until more recently when, again, these topics started to spring up on social media. A lot of Americans are waking up to our own atrocities.
