I just watched the deleted scenes and I felt like they added alot to the movies. One showed that Lieutenant Traxer actually believed Kyle's story and another deleted scene showed how tormented Kyle was being in the past and seeing how things were before the war. It was really interesting that they cut those scenes out considering how much depth they added. There was also the scene where Sarah outlines her plan to destroy Cyberdyne Systems to prevent everything from happening. This was obviously followed up in Terminator 2. Did you all feel that those scenes should have been kept in?

Those deleted scenes really do add a ton of depth, especially teh Kyle stuff. The one where he's just overwhelmed by everything in the past hits different - you can see how much of a fish out of water he really is coming from that hellscape future
The Traxer scene always bugged me that they cut it because it makes his character way more three-dimensional instead of just "generic doubtful cop." Would've made the whole police station sequence even more tense knowing someone actually believed Kyle but couldn't do anything about it
The Sarah/Cyberdyne scene is interesting too since it plants those seeds early, though I get why they might've thought it was too much exposition at the time

Yup, I’ve always thought the Kyle breakdown scene should have stayed in.

What about the scene where he walks across the road?

It's been a while since I've seen the deleted scenes, but the Traxler stuff added very little, Kyle being upset added very little.
Terminator and Terminator 2 have near perfect editing cutting out the fat.

Lieutenant's believing is just too easy. I like how they gave just a hint of it in the cut.
