A living president is not allowed to be featured in a coin.

metalyger Mar 24, 2026 +2054
I also miss when it was unheard of for a US president to have no previous political experience or knowledge. Even the drunk driving coke head president was elected at the state level before running for president. Not one thing about president nepo baby from reality TV is normal.

I thought Laura was the drunk driver?
243
ConneryFTW Mar 24, 2026 +371
GW had a DUI in the 1970's. Laura bush ran a stop sign when she was 17, onto a dark road and killed a man (her friend and class mate) but there wasnt any alcohol involved.

I hated that this was tried to be used for political gain. It was a tragedy l, an accident and Laura’s worst day of her life. The list of reason the Bush administration was awful was long.
45
Ridry Mar 24, 2026 +42
I know someone who killed themselves after a freak car accident involving a hit pedestrian that wasn't their fault. You don't have to like the Bush family to empathize with what that day likely did to her.
42
TheRSFelon Mar 24, 2026 +18
Yeah f*** the entire Bush clan but from what I understand about Laura’s car accident, it was just that, an accident, she wasn’t drunk, shit happens and she’s the one who had to live with it I remember people making it political when I was a young teenager and being grossed out by it However, the family guy joke was pretty funny tbh

Hesitation-Marx Mar 24, 2026 +86
Cheney, comb-licker Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld were so gung-ho to do it, and Dubya listened to the generals and pentagon advisors and said “no”. I never thought I’d look at Dubya and not think “worst president ever”….
86
tdclark23 Mar 24, 2026 +35
It's like every GOP President since Eisenhower has been striving for that title. I'm afraid it will continue like that in the future.
35
Hesitation-Marx Mar 24, 2026 +44
You know, GWB did a lot to fight pandemics and did some amazing work in Africa combating AIDS. I say that as someone who was sad the pretzel didn’t take him out. I’m compelled to give credit where credit is due. So bear that in mind when I say that the only thing about Trump that is a positive is that he’s gonna die.
44
No_Fairweathers Mar 24, 2026 +26
GWB was a terrible president who committed terrible atrocities he will never be able to take back, but I do believe that he at least believed he was doing things that were for the betterment of the country, even if it was completely misguided and wrong to say the least. Trump simply doesn't care. He has no thoughts or cares about anyone except himself. He's the truest narcissist there is.
26
TheAnalogKid18 Mar 24, 2026 +22
Trump is probably one of the only people if not the only person in that office who genuinely does not give a f*** about anyone but himself. He's easily our most evil President.
22
WoodpeckerNo5724 Mar 24, 2026 +23
Eisenhower publicly addressed the threat of the growing military industrial complex, and every Republican ever since has been bought and sold by those same militarists.
23
cmm239 Mar 24, 2026 +13
I never thought I’d say I miss W. He’s a breath of fresh air compared to these rotten farts we have now.
13
Hesitation-Marx Mar 24, 2026 +12
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t miss him. I think he was a b****** who should pay an extended visit to the Hague. But I never got the sense that he wanted us all to die screaming. With Trump…. Yeah, I do.
12
Mr_Abe_Froman Mar 24, 2026 +11
Buchanan not telling states that they can't secede and Johnson f****** up the Reconstruction (before and after the Civil War) used to be a low bar to stoop to. Trump seems to be actively trying to start another Civil War as opposed to Buchanan letting it happen.
11
TheAnalogKid18 Mar 24, 2026 +7
Hell, Jackson killed about 15-20K Native Americans and relocated thousands more, crashed the economy on purpose, and Trump is still exponentially more evil than that.
7
Mr_Abe_Froman Mar 24, 2026 +8
Trump hung Jackson's portrait in the Oval Office during his first term and liked to draw the comparison. Maybe the mass detention of immigrants (citizen and non-citizen) is his own Trail of Tears.
8
Hesitation-Marx Mar 24, 2026 +7

What's even more laughable are the people who actually believed that Trump was a successful businessman capable of "running the country like a business." Despite the fact Trump had bankrupted multiple casinos, been accused of fraud, and otherwise squandered most of the money given to him by his father.
11
onthenerdyside Mar 24, 2026 +12
The Apprentice gets far too little blame for rehabilitating his reputation to the point of making him an upstanding member of society. He had basically become a laughingstock, a punchline, a symbol of the bygone 1980s. Then he got a "reality" tv show and got to pretend to be good at business and was suddenly relevant again.

How he's lived his entire life. Pathetic that anyone shows him even the smallest amount of respect. Meeting the president, even one you didn't agree with, used to invoke some sense of honor. Trump? I would applaud anyone who used the opportunity to call him a massive piece of shit to his face, call him a traitor who deserves to be treated as one, and spitting on the ground to put emphasis on it (would suggest a better spot but no doubt his goons have itchy trigger fingers). That we could pick a less horrific and embarrassing leader by choosing a resident at a homeless shelter at random is pathetic. Yeah he's only one small (yet extremely vocal) part of a very busted system but at the very least would be extremely satisfying to see his fat blob like face get torn down verbally in public without the usual rules of decorum that protect the Epstein class.
9
Individual-Guest-123 Mar 24, 2026 +110
I would wager the amount of gold the treasury appropriates for this fiasco will not match the amount of gold used in the production, but who is going to check?
110
aradraugfea Mar 24, 2026 +42
Pretty certain there’s a law about a living PERSON appearing on a coin. And hey, if Trump’s so damn eager for a memorial (the coin, the monuments, renaming the Kennedy center the Donald Trump and JFK Memorial center) he’s free to play by the rules, but I’m gonna have to insist on following the law. And not making a coin that’s meant to celebrate our nation ANOTHER way he tries to buy his dead daddy’s approval.
42
MOVES_HYPHENS Mar 24, 2026 +54
*Does not apply to commemorative coins with no face value. These will be sold by the Treasury for profit

26
Lemp_Triscuit11 Mar 24, 2026 +73
I dunno if he's allowed or not honestly, I feel like his voters should just be embarrassed lol. Like it takes a very embarrassing person to try to commemorate themselves
73
HibbletonFan Mar 24, 2026 +64
Did you see the footage of him visiting Graceland? He’s a malignant narcissist who is an embarrassment to the human race.
64
Lemp_Triscuit11 Mar 24, 2026 +23
I dunno I feel like there are things that are subjectively embarrassing and things that are universally embarrassing. When I look at some of his supporters, I do imagine that they'd watch that video and be like "Idk that's just how you act at graceland" or hear the access hollywood thing and think "boy I wish I could grab pussies whenever, that sounds rad" but I feel like pretty much all of them know it's fuckin cringe to build a statue of yourself or put yourself on a coin. Everyone knows that's something you let other people do for you. Universally embarrassing.
23
regeya Mar 24, 2026 +27
So many cringeworthy things happening right now. Like taking the frame off of Obama's portrait, or replacing Biden's with a picture of the autopen, or putting up a Columbus statue explicitly to annoy liberals.
27
Lemp_Triscuit11 Mar 24, 2026 +15
I think the difference is they know those things are to annoy liberals, so they get boners about it. They know the coin thing is because this is the only way that'll ever get done for him, so it's just pathetic lol
15
Socratesticles Mar 24, 2026 +6
Wait, they just took the frame off Obama’s portrait? But left the picture? What on earth. Is there an attempted ribbing in there I’m missing?
6

It’s just dogwhistle-y hatred. They all know why Obama is so hated, but if they say it out loud they will have to hear uncomfortable questions
7
Quiet-Corner6150 Mar 24, 2026 +8
You're absolutely right. I see so many comments that are always so "in total", like "we" don't want this or that. And it's like, "we" in this context is something like 2/3 of the US population, there's 1/3 that absolutely cheers on every dumb, stupid, or illegal thing Trump does, and there is no way for him to do wrong for them. Including all known criminal acts and all suspected pedophilia or sex trafficking.
8
tots4scott Mar 24, 2026 +22
His voters should have been embarrassed 10 f****** years ago. They have no shame, amd they barely get the truth and reality in the conservative propaganda bubble.  People who despise trump know more about what he says and does, as well as republican policy and amendments, than the republican voter.
22
Lemp_Triscuit11 Mar 24, 2026 +5
I think everyone has shame. Trump and his ilk just have such a twisted set of morals that it's hard for us to identify what the things that would bring them shame would be, and that makes it seem like they have none. To a normal, good person things like being on Epstein island and the p**** grabbing comments and saying we need to expand our torture program would be shameful. I think things that Trump fuckers find shameful would be like being poor, or being unmasculine or something.

It's getting prepped for when he dies, which is also why his name and image is popping up on a bunch of buildings. He wants to ensure his legacy, because no one else will. Yes, I still have misguided hope that everyone will magically wake up from a bad hangover like stupor once their cult leader is gone.
6
tommyohohoh Mar 24, 2026 +6
And what was the great thing this president has ever done? I don't get why anyone thinks he deserves this much celebration. The Arc de Trump, putting his name on the Kennedy Center, this coin, tearing down historic buildings, etc. Regan doesn't have nearly the amount of honorifics, and he was way more influential on the world stage.
6

It just doesn’t make sense. Why would you want to have a coin celebrating liberty featuring an image of an angry looking man with his fists clenched staring you down, menacingly? That’s the opposite of freedom — living in fear of an overlord. Purely from a design standpoint it’s nuts. This perfectly represents the product you get when everyone is afraid to tell the boss it’s a bad idea.
383
Groomsi Mar 24, 2026 +156
"The 24-karat gold coin is intended to mark America's 250th birthday this 4 July and portrays Trump with his fists pressed against a desk." Department of War. Operation Epic Fury. "Can we nuke Hurricanes..." Build a wall ("Trump also proposed digging a water-filled moat and stocking it with snakes and alligators)". FIFA Peace Award Board of Peace. Concentration camps in US and abroad. Assassinations Kidnapping foreign leader Allowing torture and killing of US-citizen by Saudis. Going on multiple wars. Threaten allies. Stealing resources. Murdering people on boats. Accusing ppl of drugtrafficing or having nukes with no evidence or trial. No trials for lots of people. Is part of at least one pedophile ring. Saved by Russians. Compromised by Israel (due to sex). Who knows what pics/videos they have. During COVID; had his signature on the cheque to the ppl, as if it was his own money. Also On the coin (and on US money): "In God We Trust" - Where has God been all this time? If there was a God, It abandoned us and gave us "Lord of Chaos".

Right. Setting aside the whole stupidity of the thing and just looking at it purely from a design perspective… *Wow is that a shitty design.* Like 1st year D student level shitty design. Can’t fail you because you did the assigned work but fails in all other respects of creative design. There is nothing heroic or inspiring in this design. There is no sense of strength. *it looks like an angry boomer at a McDonald’s counter bitching that the kid behind the counter should honor his free quarter pounder coupon that expired in 1987* That “art” when scaled down to coin size is going to lose all that detail and just looking like a metallic lump. (I suppose that’s not far from what the subject is, though I’d say he’s more gelatinous than metallic.) Wow… just wow.

Depending on the interpretation, the mark of the beast could be considered branding. If there's anything The Donald knows, it's branding.

“And the number of the beast shall be two score and seven.”
29
Asleep_Document9811 Mar 24, 2026 +14
Nah, technically speaking the mark of the beast is supposed to be required to take part in commerce. It's meant to be kind of like the opposite of an annointment; it means that in order to partake in basic commerce you have to be complicit with evil. But, then again, most people who are exceedingly familiar with the Bible I've met feel that Revelation was a coded letter to the early, nacient Christian churches that established themselves in secret throughout Anatolia.

The Second Coming by William Butler Yeats Turning and turning in the widening gyre    The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere    The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst    Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand.    The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out    When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert   A shape with lion body and the head of a man,  A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,  Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it   Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.  The darkness drops again; but now I know   That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,   And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,  Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Things haven’t been normal since Reagan and the War on Drugs.

North-Outside-5815 Mar 24, 2026 +79
So since Nixon
79
StinkiePhish Mar 24, 2026 +67
Some people looked at the Nixon resignation as a blip in history that we should try to avoid through ethics rules, disclosures, and other means. Others looked at the Nixon resignation and thought, what do we need to change in the government so that _we can get away with this,_ and then masterfully executed a multi-decade plan to seize effective control of the government in a bloodless revolution of social norms. They couldn't have dreamed of a better propaganda tool than social media.

DarthHalcius Mar 24, 2026 +20
Nixon resigning was more honorable than anything Trump is capable of, even if it was in the face of imminent impeachment. Trump would never.
20
Baileyesque Mar 24, 2026 +5
Trump *did* never, when faced with impeachment.

AI will be the next weapon in their war chest.  Social media has been immensely damaging to the masses in advancing the interests of a fraction of a percentage of powerful people. Next, they’ll be deploying their AI tools to replace original thought entirely - telling humans exactly what to do, how to think, how to vote, you name it. I try to stay optimistic but it genuinely feels like we’re on the precipitous of a new “dark ages” - and I know the dark ages term isn’t wholly accurate, but I’m deploying that here as a new anti-information/low Information Age, where curiosity and knowledge are suppressed.

Individual-Guest-123 Mar 24, 2026 +17
at least Nixon cared for the environment
17
Broken-Digital-Clock Mar 24, 2026 +22
Back in the day, I bet it was hard to imagine someone worse than Nixon. Then Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr happened. Then it somehow got even worse.
22
Lachadian Mar 24, 2026 +16
I'm sure the Republican candidate in '28 will be different this time. /s 🙃
16
I_see_zebras Mar 24, 2026 +6
I'm old enough to have voted against all of these. With each loss I became more cynical.
6
Broken-Digital-Clock Mar 24, 2026 +5
I couldn't believe it when Jr was re-elected. Then 2016 and 2024 came along.
5
Fastluck83 Mar 24, 2026 +151
Only looks vaguely like Trump. Certainly missing some of his pounds among other things.
151
Basic_Yam_715 Mar 24, 2026 +30
looks like he is trying to poop in his diaper
30
10thousndreflections Mar 24, 2026 +7
Can we get the woman behind him holding her nose?
7
Commonpleas Mar 24, 2026 +19
The design hides the lovely lady lumps under his chin, but it also gives him way too much hair.
19
icebergslim3000 Mar 24, 2026 +126
Why the f*** is he always pictured looking menacing. F*** this f****** chomo
126
jmobius Mar 24, 2026 +56
Because that's what he insists on. I imagine he thinks it makes him look powerful, tough, in control, blah blah blah.
56
randomnighmare Mar 24, 2026 +14
It actually makes him look like he is constipated and trying to poop.
14
jmobius Mar 24, 2026 +7
Oh yes, definitely, but this is a guy who gets his model for what he wants to look like from TV and movies, and absolutely *not* from the mirror.
7
DowntonDooDooBrown Mar 24, 2026 +13
Can’t stand up without leaning on his desk
13
slawnz Mar 24, 2026 +11
I just see a senile old man who has shat himself and doesn’t want to sit in it
11
YellowPeyo Mar 24, 2026 +7
For the same reason he yanks people when he shakes their hand : it's a power trip.
7
patriarch37 Mar 24, 2026 +82
So Mexico has the peso, now we have the pedo
82
Able-Insurance-5156 Mar 25, 2026 +6
That's a good one!!!
6
chimarya Mar 24, 2026 +63
He looks constipated - ridiculous and embarrassing!
63
SecretAsianMan42069 Mar 24, 2026 +14
I don't think he's ever constipated, it just flows into his diaper like lava.
14
DowntonDooDooBrown Mar 24, 2026 +6
More like he was using a walker when he posed
6
shadowdra126 Mar 24, 2026 +37
Who wants a pedocoin
37
Top-Carob-5412 Mar 24, 2026 +66
Figures he'd depict himself as looking like a jerk. I wonder why he thinks that is a good look? Does he seriously think that makes him look "tough"? Makes him look like the cranky old uncle no one wants to invite to Thanksgiving dinner but has to.
66
QuesoMeHungry Mar 24, 2026 +32
He 100% thinks it makes him look like a badass. Just like his mugshot looking official portrait.
32
Special_Chance_1731 Mar 24, 2026 +11
I wonder how tough he will feel when a nurse is ripping the catheter from his pisser
11
Sweaty_Resist_5039 Mar 24, 2026 +19
A good inscription at the bottom could be, "GOD DAMN IT I'LL GET THE F****** POTATOES MYSELF."
19
radioactive_sharpei Mar 24, 2026 +32
I love that, on the coin shown, he looks like an old man with a walker hurrying into Golden Corral at 4pm for dinner.
32
Smithy2232 Mar 24, 2026 +88
Shameful that this degenerate sexual predator gets any attention at all.
88
troyak01 Mar 24, 2026 +18
No doubt he will demand at least 10% of sales and as many free coins that he wants in order to give away to his family and friends.
18
Reasonable_Ask_2869 Mar 24, 2026 +21
I think this coin perfectly encapsulates the death of the republic. It reads as such anyways. 1776-2026(reminiscent of a tombstone). Also screams: me, me, me.  Nothing about this represents democracy.
21
slothcough Mar 24, 2026 +15
Looks like Nazi gold is back.
15
dingusmingus2222 Mar 24, 2026 +12
Not normal? ...
12
Theonewho_hasspoken Mar 24, 2026 +11
American Liberty 1776-2026, RIP.

TheRealBlueJade Mar 24, 2026 +11
You mean his rectal exam coin?
11
of-skallitz Mar 24, 2026 +23
his pose gives “prostate exam”
23
fatavocadosquirrel Mar 24, 2026 +13
Or "scooting across the floor with a walker". What a strange and ugly coin.
13
Stoic_cave Mar 24, 2026 +9
CaligulaTrump coin
9
ian2345 Mar 24, 2026 +9
Why's he posed like that? Looks like he's bent over getting his prostate checked

Trumps Not Normal
8
Travelerdude Mar 24, 2026 +8
Nothing from this f****** shitstain is normal. But what is really disconcerting is the level of corruption that he has permeated through all levels of government. Should ever a democrat be elected to the oval office again, I hope that person purges his stink from all over the government until not one trump supporter is left.
8
chasingjulian Mar 24, 2026 +8
There is nothing normal about anything involving that convicted felon.
8
Skowlette Mar 24, 2026 +8
The commemorative coin is not the problem. The coin they're trying to have made to push into circulation is the problem. That is the coin that isn't allowed to showcase living Presidents. If they manage to approve the one for circulation while he's alive, we can have fun scratching his face off and defacing it. The gold coin will be too expensive and bought by MAGATS. So defacing it would be moot. Just have it melted for the gold.

megaloschemos3 Mar 24, 2026 +5
I keep seeing a lot of: "This is not allowed." "That's not part of the rule book." "But the CONSTITUTION!" If you think it's just about the Epstein files, immigrant detainment, you are sorely mistaken and have been for awhile. You have a sitting president who is a child rapist, and probably worse - but definitely child rapist at a minimum. Let that sink in. It's not even up for debate anymore. He's also surrounded by people who not only r*** children, but also kill and eat them. Not up for debate. It's actually in evidence. But, as long as it's not YOUR children right? As long as I can get c**** gas, right? As long as I can keep the things that I shouldn't have had to struggle for to begin with, right? To say I'm disappointed as I look around me - everyone on their phones, watching reaction videos to content that is irrelevant while you are soon to be herded up and be made ACTUAL cattle. I fear for all of you that this is the case and WANT YOU TO WAKE UP!

AreYouSeriousWTH Mar 24, 2026 +6
It looks like Biff Tannen from Back to the Future 2, in the alternate 1985.
6
smooth_opr9r Mar 24, 2026 +5
Ass-pennies, anyone?
5
Hoogs Mar 24, 2026 +6
What a disgrace. Back in middle school I remember thinking how the country’s 250th anniversary was approaching and wondering how it would be celebrated. This is certainly a letdown.
6
Advanced-Vermicelli8 Mar 24, 2026 +5
A trump coin is not normal regardless of the legal reason
5
1stMammaltowearpants Mar 24, 2026 +5
The gold coin is also...silver?!
5
Potential-Run-8391 Mar 24, 2026 +5
This is such f****** bullshit. He’s literally the worst president to ever exist. I’m so tired of this f****** worship of senile moron!!!!!!
5
Slade_Riprock Mar 24, 2026 +5
The next President should FDR that shit. Issue an executive order making the ownership, possession, or use of this coin federal illegal. Ordering all citizens to turn in their Trump coins to their local Bank for exchange for otherbus currency. And that shit should be melted down.
5
Perniciosius Mar 24, 2026 +4
MAGA totally isn’t idolatrous at all - nope, just casually rallying around a guy who, if you take Abrahamic texts seriously, checks more ‘golden calf/antichrist vibes’ boxes than any modern politician.
4
echoes_of_mars Mar 24, 2026 +6
Looks like he's getting fucked in the ass.
6
sdrowkcabdellepssti Mar 24, 2026 +5
Its also not gold, source: everything he's ever done.
5
Ishidan01 Mar 24, 2026 +3
no f****** shit! Show me another coin that has its subject LOOMING, not just an profile or bust. And FROWNING. This is what they chose. Not only to give this dipshit another unearned honor but to immortalize that he's a f****** a****** that likes doing this alpha male intimidation bullshit.
3
ShireXennial Mar 24, 2026 +5
Are they purposefully trying to make him look like a hunched over villain, or?
5
simpsonswasjustokay Mar 24, 2026 +4
His hands are balled up so you can't see how short and small they are
4
mimsbigfoot Mar 24, 2026 +3
None of this is.
3
Resident_Table6694 Mar 24, 2026 +4
Whoever runs on erasing all of Trumps image and monuments will get my vote.
