Any candidate who runs on sacrificing the entire fortune of the Trumps at the Debt Altar of the Treasury Department has my vote no matter what else their policies are This country cannot move forward until we acknowledge Republicans are a radical insurgent terrorist group continuing the Confederate legacy of a racial caste system Literally anything we do will be denied, dismantled and disintegrated by them as soon as they come back into power, and they will collaborate with corrupt oligarchs and foreign adversaries alike

Would you consider a private household with these figures insolvent? >The household earns $52,446 and spends $73,378, running a $20,932 annual deficit. >Its total liabilities and unfunded promises amount to $1,361,788 against just $60,554 in assets, leaving it $1.3 million in the hole. Multiply these numbers by 100 million, and there you have it, the US situation right now. So every man woman and child in the USA is like 400k in the hole. Wow, how much the rich have stolen from us in the last 40 years.

except we can print money and theres a million other reasons why the household analogy doesn't work for a government. The real solution is cutting the defense budget to 200 billion for the next 30 years

And taxing the rich how we used to.

That isnt sufficient and neither is taxing the rich more, we need to tax everyone more to get rhe deficit under control. The deficit is $1.78 trillion. Cutting the defense budget to $200 billion gets you to $1 trillion deficit. Taxing the rich will get you about $300 billion a year and that includes a wealth tax. Where is the other $700 billion gonna come from?

This is all due to the GOP's "Two Santas" policy. Deficits and debt are only concern for Democrats.

I'm sure someone from a political party will fix it!

Ted Cruz. Being the fiscal hawk he is, I’m sure that he is getting ready to go on Fox News to discuss the deficit. Wait, no sorry, it’s a republican president and not a democrat one. Scratch that. Ted forgets about the deficit around this time

Pretty sure Fox never even shows the debt counter unless it's a Dem president. And if they talk at all about the debt they blame it on 'liberal programs' or 'waste/fraud/abuse', or their fave 'illegals abusing the system'. Never about massive military spending or ridiculous tax cuts, or corporate bailouts, etc.

Ted Cruz: why don't we all just go on holiday until this whole debt thing blows over.

He probably can’t hear us anyways, Cancun is a long ways away

Cut the military budget by around 75% and seize the net worth of anything over a billion from billionaires.

So now the government has a bunch of stock that if they try to sell will crater the value of that stock.

At this point we should just rename the country Debt and see if we can get a sponsorship deal with Visa. The United States of America, brought to you by the Minimum Monthly Payment.

But instead of that, the news is all about Trump and Iran. This is what they should be showing when they talk about Trump’s real results

When you get to $999 Million, you are given an island paradise, and a plaque congratulating you on winning capitalism. Then you fuckoff and enjoy your years while your excessive assets are distributed amongst the populace. problem solved.

Balanced budget proposals are completely fabricated bullshit, they are reckless and prevent actual shit from getting done
