TMZ should definitely do this. American politicians do not act like public servants. They need to be reminded.

They spent the first ten minutes of every show talking about how old Biden was 2 years ago. I stopped watching it. It was just partisan politics at that point.

People think that, because the first two politicians TMZ hounded are giant (r) shitheels Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz, that they’re somehow on the side of the angels This is just manipulative scrutiny to apply pressure to those who aren’t toting the MAGA party line. TMZ DC is a rabid dog that exists to threaten & intimidate

nobody pushes the iran war like lindsey graham tho.

Bingo. They have a wide reach of low information voters that will readily swayed by slanted news (ie only reporting on one party). Owned by fox - there is an agenda here to continue their manipulation of voters. So tired of right wingers bleeding politics into every damn aspect of life.

1000%.  Politicians are technically celebrities, so why not cover them?  If anything, the public shared care way more about what politicians are up to than actors and musicians.  If an actor gets drunk and wraps their car around a pole that's news, but it doesn't really effect the average person's life.  Politicians can destroy the economy, kill your healthcare, or send us to war.  If it takes TMZ's scrutiny to keep them on the straight and narrow, so be it.  The rest of the media is infested with billionaires' political interests.

If our government officials are going to act like spoiled media stars, they should be covered like spoiled media stars...

TMZ owner is a close trump friend though and never dares criticize dear leader

He has recently. I stopped watching after he went trumpy but I've seen clips on tik tok where he's not happy with things Trump is doing

Trump sued Murdoch and the WSJ for $10 billion last year (judge dismissed earlier this month) so I’m not sure how friendly they are at the moment

The TMZ guy himself is super close with trump

Just keep an open mind and remember that TMZ is owned by the same mob that owns Fox News.

Who watches the View in 2026?

paulerxx 2 days ago +53
"The View averages approximately 2.78 million viewers per episode, marking its strongest performance in five years. The show regularly ranks as the No. 1 daytime talk show, with total viewership often ranging between 2.6 million and 2.8 million for daily broadcasts, peaking higher during major political events" Tons of people apparently...

People who find The Price Is Right too overstimulating.

People who are home during the day and don’t work. Daytime TV is a wasteland. Whenever I visit my parents I am reminded that I seriously need to get some hobbies before I retire.

For any given thing that’s on, most people don’t watch it. Most people don’t like the most popular things (more people don’t like Taylor swift than do, and she’s like the most famous person in the world right now, for example). Find a new way to insult the things you don’t like.

Must be a regional thing with Gen-X. I know of no one who watches that show and who are Gen-X.

Gen X woman here. 56. What the f***? No I do not and neither do a single other woman my age that I know (not even my older friends) ETA I literally thought it was mostly millennial women watching it in fact. I seriously did. Does anyone know the actual demographics? Seems none of us want to claim them as ours

SomewhereNo8378 2 days ago +5
I mean, it fits the average age of someone watching ABC daytime programming, and daytime talk shows. Looking at [this data](https://www.detpress.com/abcnews/pressrelease/the-view-draws-its-largest-overall-audience-in-over-3-months-hitting-a-season-high/), there were 2.4 million viewers of an episode of The View and less than 335,000 were women 18-54* I doubt many are under 18, and I have to imagine not many are men. There must be a large chunk of 54+ women viewers (I don’t know why they don’t break them out, it seems standard to just look at that middle demographic)

Just because the viewers are Gen X doesn’t mean every Gen X does.

I’m a young-ish millennial and I watch The View. Not all the time, but sometimes I’ll have it on. Sucks that people are lumped into categories though. “You watch the view? Gotta be a Gen X woman.” Nah, sometimes I’m working and I don’t feel like having Friends reruns on in the background, so I’ll put on The View.

I’m also genX and have never seen it. But I don’t like shows where people just talk at each other blah blah blah. I need them to be doing something, if that makes sense. Throw a chair at least lol. Also I’ve never been home and just chilling in the daytime except for my days off, which are when I do all the other things life requires.

Given the political theatre these goofs are doin currently, I am fine with TMZ making them look dumb and a hot mess. Many are such a mockery and lost sight of being a public servant.

You know. I am not mad at this idea, however, this is only because Harvey Levin voted for Trump and he needs good PR. Instead of saying he was wrong he just started a new stalking ground and has his staff delete any comments that mentions Harvey’s voting history.

I’m was STOKED to see TMZ expanding to DC.

Ok-Turnip-9035 2 days ago +2
Im intrigued but I think Harvey just figured out another revenue stream A lot of names just pay him now to not talk about them or if he does talk about them to do it in a favorable light (not the actual dirt he has on them)

The View is not the least bit entertaining. It's the very most annoying morons you could find speaking stupidly about things they clearly don't understand.

Only-Ad4322 2 days ago +1
Fine with me if politicians continue to efface decorum worthy of their standing.

Why didn’t TMZ do this years ago? It seems like a massive untapped opportunity.

Now that Alyssa is back, all the guest hosts really pale in comparison. She really does a great job!
