They were incensed that comedians whose brands involve being edgy, speaking truth to power, and upholding free speech, sold out those principles by taking money from a murderer who demanded they perform sanitized sets to an elite foreign caste. Iran is doing exactly what they said they would do if this ever happened. The country is under regional control by various IRGC elements. This isn't a theory, it isn't a guess, it is what they said they would do, what we've always predicted, and what we've observed. Headlines for both sides continue to come out daily acting surprised or shocked that Iran doesn't seem to have unified leadership and it's all bullshit. The entire reason Iran chose this strategy is *because* it would make negotiating surrender impossible.
