The way the characters speak in ‘I Love LA’

Posted by Early-Piano2647

Is that how young people speak in LA? It’s not the accent exactly, it’s the... I dunno how to word it, like tiny inflections, and a kind of pre-teen way of speaking that all the main characters do (except for Josh Hutcherson). I’m not from LA so I don’t know, but I had to stop watching because it was annoying me so much! Just curious.

Its the LA accent mixed with a general millennial/gen-z cusper raised by vine accent.

Fully thought you were referencing the Pedro Pascal SNL skit. I assume that show is what he was going off of for his bit?

[Reminds me of the scene in Letterkenny](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAbGPpQ3qx4) I haven't seen the show, but I have heard Rachel Sennott speak, so it sounds like just the next generation of vocal fry, the more LA things become embedded in culture, the more they're copied either consciously or not.
