I just get the occasional ai ninja cat on my feed. I must not be in the fruit demographic.

First thing I thought too, never heard or seen any of this dumb shit. I asked my wife too and she has no idea what I was talking about. People who are getting a lot of this… keep in mind the algorithms are probably feeding you this for a reason…

This shit is so weird and it keeps showing up in my feed. The couple of videos I watched were basically like - the female is a cheating w****, and it's SO obvious she fucked a cucumber instead of her wonderful strawberry husband.

A lot of them have weird racial undertones too, with aubergines being black coded and the whole thing being like “I can’t raise an aubergine/strawberry mix baby with my strawberry husband!” My gf and I were looking at videos on Instagram a while back and found one and just couldn’t look away like watching a car wreck

It shows up on your feed because you watch it. Stop watching and dislike it immediately, then AI slop won't show as much in your feed.

The only things I see of these videos on TikTok are people talking ABOUT those videos and how bizarre they are.

From female fruit being fart-shamed or even sexually assaulted, there’s a misogynistic undercurrent to the fruit slop microdramas, even as they appear to be cultivating genuine fans. There’s a difference between something going viral and ads being spammed. No one is sharing and choosing to rewatch these over and over. These aren’t viral.

why are we sharing this "news" -- oh because this is literally Wired advertising to us on Reddit, got it.

Reminds me of the [Elsagate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elsagate) stuff from a few years back.
