For real man, what is crazy is when you see two of these idiots rage at each other in the supermarket over something trivial like manhandling the fruit or squeezing a loaf of bread. It’s almost always some old white guy between 55-75 that seems to think he has the authority to lecture someone else around the same age (both probably on TRT) then they go at it like two kangaroos scratching each others face because they can’t fight for shit

Guy you're replying to might be just talking out their rear, but I'm from a smaller town in the midwest and people were way, way more likely to get into fights there than any city I've ever been to. It was so normal growing up that it didn't register that it was weird to see a slap-fight at Walmart or a shoving match outside a restaurant. It wasn't until I went back for the first time after being away for a while that it was like "wait, what?".
I suspect it's a combination of (a) everybody knowing each other and therefore naturally being f****** up to here with some of them and (b) lots and lots of drinking.

Manhandling the fruit is actually really annoying, though. Especially people who dig their fingernails into the fruit to "test" it. I also see cherry pits in the cherries. I think people sample them, and then spit the stone back into the bag. That is disgusting, and if someone wants to rage on that, I'm taking their side.

I'm not sure it is very amazing. I used to be conservative and live in a conservative area. Most people that I know, work with, in my neighborhood, and most of my family are conservative. The most striking thing to me is how susceptible to fear and rage baiting they are. They spend a great deal of time being very unhappy. Fox News is a large part of that along with all the stuff they get in their algorithms telling them who's roadblocking their path to greatness today.
They're not all that way but I think probably 80 or 90% of them are. And I don't think they necessarily realize it but any time they get the chance they start talking down about other people and groups. They've always got someone they don't like. I don't have anybody I don't like, it seems weird to me. I don't think they are happy.

Honestly, you dont even have to be stupid, just apathetic / disconnected. Ditch social media (including listnook), stop reading the news, tune friends / family out when they bring any current event up. All you have to do is embrace the "ignorance is bliss" mentality and you'd honestly not even realize 99% of whats happening is happening.
Obviously this is easier said than done for certain demographics than others, especially in the USA. Like, being an LGBTQ+ immigrant woman that is not white-passing would make it significantly harder to disconnect from due to the societal risks and pressures you'd face out in the real world outside of the media sphere, when compared to a hetero-cis white male.
My point is, you dont necessarily have to be stupid to not suffer through the non stop media blitz of ineptitude; just disconnected.

Just the Kurds paying back the Americans for abandoning them four times over in their search for independence. In 1975, the U.S. backed Kurdish rebels in Iraq, then pulled support after the Algiers Agreement, leaving them to be crushed. In 1991, after the Gulf War, the U.S. encouraged Kurds to rise up against Saddam Hussein but didn’t protect them when he retaliated. In 2017, when Iraqi Kurds voted for independence, the U.S. opposed the move and stayed out as Iraqi forces took back disputed areas. Then in 2019, after Kurdish forces helped defeat ISIS in Syria, Donald Trump pulled U.S. troops, allowing Turkey to attack them.

Because the only thing restraining presidents is their own morality and respect for the office.

Turns out there is actually no consequence for anything. Impeachment is a nothingburger, felonies don't matter, Nixon et al would have come out completely unscathed if they didn't resign of their own free will.
Trump will keep going until someone stops him. Nobody is stopping him. There are no working systems in place to stop him. Everything is some sanctimonious nonsense like 'sanctity of the office' or tradition, which is to say that it's completely useless if the president decides to just ignore it.

The suppression of the Iranian protestors was brutal before the war. I don’t get the mentality that sending some guns is going to enable a rebellion after civilians were bombed. People who weren’t fans of the government will rally around the flag. People who lost family, friends or hole will too.
Even if the guns got to the Iranian protestors they would most likely stash them and keep quiet until they were less likely to be lynched or executed.
I think the fantasy was they could kill some leaders and the Iranian government would come tumbling down. Maybe with a few guns.
All of the flailing, changing objectives, changing rhetoric is because they had no plan except for their fantasy.

Because they decided not to dig mass graves?
You can keep your skepticism — in a media blackout situation we all have to maintain at least a little — but this reasoning doesn't disprove anything.
Although western journalists do not have enough access to independently confirm the counts, the 2nd- and 3rd-hand accounts they do receive would not be printed if they thought it was total BS.

“Lets give a bunch of guns to a previously friendly militia, who we just so happened to sell out and leave for dead, and ask them to pretty please smuggle them into Iran for us”
Can’t see any fault in that plan

Haha, the irony of Trump sending Kurds guns meant for the Iranians a few months after he abandoned the Kurds in Syria, only to be shocked that they kept them.
Maybe if you hadn’t been an unreliable ally to the Kurds a few months ago (again, after Iraq 1991, Iraq 2003 and all the other times we promised to help them in they helped us only to not follow through) then the Kurds would have been a more reliable ally this time. Shit if there was a Kurdish state you’d definitely have an ally with a land border with Iran to use as a jumping off point.
Instead you abandoned the Kurds (again) for an Iraqi government that was eventually totally penetrated by Iran, a Syrian government run by a former Al Qaeda member, and a Turkish government with ties to Moscow.
Keep the guns Kurds. It’s the least we could do.
The Kurds are probably our best ally in the Middle East. Sadly they’re just not a strong ally, relatively speaking. Mostly because we seek intent on keeping it that way.

The Iranian regime severely reacted to the recent protests, killing thousands, and one of the excuses they gave was that "external forces had supplied guns" to the opposition. Turns out, they were right. Doesn't excuse mass killings, but...they were correct in their assessment.

Couple things here...
First off, Trump, by his own admission, knew providing weapons was a mistake but his crew did it anyway. So, he's a bad boss for letting them make a really bad foreseeable mistake, or his subordinates ignored his amazing advice.
Either way, terrible leadership.
The other thing here, and I dont say this like betraying the Kurds is anything to be proud about, but since the early 1990s the US government has been able to repeatedly negotiate assistance from Kurd groups. We almost inevitably fucked them, but we're able to go back and do it again. Thats pretty skillful negotiations and war craft.
Mr. Art of the Deal goes to the Kurds, negotiates a weapons deal, and the Kurds ride off with the guns. He manages to be the first to get fucked over by them.
He tells us everyday he's the Globetrotters but he just got beat by the Washington Generals.

I saw a few weeks ago, an interview between a representative of Iran and a flabbergasted Fox News host. The Iranian claimed the CIA armed Iranians to overthrow the government and those are the deaths reported from the protests, the students killed were armed by the Americans to overthrow the regime. I understand it could be propaganda but I have seen that man speak before and he’s obviously highly intelligent and it doesn’t seem he would risk his platform to outright lie, like our administration absolutely loves to do.
So, allegedly Trump got those students killed then used it as an excuse to invade Iran. He never cared about the people he has had it out for Iran since his first term, he wants their land and resources, so he can make money.

There's 945 more days until the next Presidential election and I HOPE we can survive this idiot until then.

Well, seems like this is a toothpaste-out-of-tube situation... what can they do to reign it back in or control the impact? The defense contractors already made their money and there are bigger fish to fry in Iran. This is the price they(we) pay for not doing any due diligence and just openly mailing them guns.
Moreover, the Kurds say they never even got the guns. But isn't the bigger problem that this guy is openly talking about aiding another country's coup? One would think it's a closely guarded strategy in a normal timeline. Either UPS delivered to the wrong address or the Kurds are lying or Mr. Orange is lying. I'd place my bets on UPS and this guy.
