This is a song that I used to listen to and hear a lot back in the 2000s. It wasn’t until I got older that I learned it was a cover of the Kate Bush.
Every time I listen to it I feel like I’m transported back to that time period. What do you all think of it? I enjoy the original by Kate Bush as well, but this one always will hit different for me.
My favorite iteration of that song, but I would also highly recommend the Meg Myers cover.

I forgot about that one. That one’s great too.

I am picky about covers and generally think they suck, but both of these are great.

This is also the first version I first listened to, and when it was rediscovered is when I finally heard the original... so I don't know if that's why I favor their cover over the original, or if because 90's/00's was my time growing up

I've listened to this song more than any other song in my life. My favorite song probably ever.

I love both versions. I always like when a cover is quite different. Really shows how strong the underlying writing is.

This cover actually made me reconsider the original Kate Bush version and I appreciate it more now.

Excellent cover. It stands on its own as worthwhile, and holds up very well compared to the original. Very different feeling behind it that makes it feel like an entirely different song. All covers should be approached with the same attitude.

I’m quite partial to the cover by the Chromatics.
