Graham Norton was an excellent bit

ScramItVancity Mar 22, 2026 +63
Hopefully they'll get other personalities hosting shows in the same building to cameo soon.

DisneyPandora Mar 22, 2026 -64
It’s funny that they laughed the least when she did a fake British accent
-64
TheSolarExpansionist Mar 22, 2026 -63
Yeah but those pants were meant to be half length
-63
fronchfrays Mar 22, 2026 +76
“A popular UK Icon like Shrek.” “Shrek is British?” “Scotland is part of the UK. Educate yourself.” This joke got me
76
amicablecardinal Mar 23, 2026 +32
That and the subsequent Canadian Commonwealth joke were a nice one-two punch.
32
ramenups Mar 22, 2026 +339
What is this? An official SNL clip that *is* available in my country? Tina Fey is a comedy legend, so cool to have her be the first host
339
Elmalab Mar 22, 2026 +32
it is from SNL UK. new british version.
32
SwordfishOk504 Mar 22, 2026 +59
Ugh. Another unoriginal british spin-off of an american classic like The Office? ugh! Get some original ideas youbritbongs!
59
Catshagga Mar 22, 2026 -82
The British office came before American one lmao it’s America who copies show
-82
nixons_conscience Mar 22, 2026 +60

I didn't watch the show but thought that opening monologue was pretty good! Tina Fey was a great choice! I wish them luck but wonder if Sky was the best place for it to get a big audience
106
Quality_Controller Mar 22, 2026 +103
Not really much of a choice! SNL is an NBC show. NBC are owned by Comcast who also own Sky. Complete chain of content creation, broadcast and distribution all in the same ecosystem, means Comcast gets to recoup all the profits.
103
subservenicedream Mar 22, 2026 +151
Well Comcast owns Kabletown which obviously owns GE and Sheinhart wigs
151
planetalletron Mar 22, 2026 +50
No no, the Shienhardt Wig Corporation is at the top of the corporate chain. They own us all. Vertical Integortion.
50
dukeAg Mar 22, 2026 +71
It's just G, Jack. I sold the E to Samsung. They're Samesung now

Sick0fThisShit Mar 22, 2026 +6
Username. Respect, friend.
6
rjross0623 Mar 22, 2026 +10
Jack Donaghey still network president?
10
ilmunita Mar 22, 2026 +4
It's DonaHEE
4
cocoagiant Mar 22, 2026 +6
>Complete chain of content creation, broadcast and distribution all in the same ecosystem, means Comcast gets to recoup all the profits. The positive way to look at this is that means the show has a longer runway to success. Since profits don't need to be split up between various entities, they can make a small profit and still be a good investment for the company.

BleakCountry Mar 23, 2026 +3
It's also important to note that they have pitched a UK version of SNL to the big UK channels like BBC, ITV and C4 more than once over time and none of them wanted to produce the show.
3
TIGHazard Mar 23, 2026
Not true, it did exist in the 80s, but it was never an "official" SNL franchise. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Live_(British_TV_programme) > It was based on the American sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live but otherwise had no direct connection to the show. > The series made stars of Ben Elton and Harry Enfield, and featured appearances (in some cases first television appearances) by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, Patrick Marber, Morwenna Banks, Chris Barrie, Julian Clary, Emo Philips, Tracey Ullman, Craig Ferguson, Sam Kinison, Craig Charles, Josie Lawrence and many others.

BleakCountry Mar 24, 2026 +1
Those were unaffiliated with SNL. Lorne Michaels has subsequently tried to get a UK version of the show up and running for a long time and supposedly all of the major UK broadcasters ultimately passed up on the opportunity until Sky negotiated a deal with Lorne and his production team to help launch UK SNL.
1
BoltMyBackToHappy Mar 22, 2026 +1
Vertical integration.
1
CBattles6 Mar 22, 2026 +12
I think the general consensus was that Sky is the only one who'd pay the production cost
12
Eastiseast3 Mar 22, 2026 +1
That's a shame
1
frodoisdead Mar 22, 2026 +5
Could be one where Sky are more concerned about getting views on clips across socials than actual viewership of the show.
5
Eastiseast3 Mar 22, 2026 +2
Yeah it's possible
2
Catdaddy84 Mar 22, 2026 +131
She's great!! Also f*** YouTube for changing where the unmute button is.
131
preguntontas Mar 22, 2026 +99
F*** youtube for many things, they removed the ability to sort videos by upload date when you search something.
99
Vandergrif Mar 22, 2026 +8
They sure do love to try and fix what isn't broken with that website, and *not* fix the things that are broken.

Graham Norton is the best!

eBay. Live. Fixed it.

It's like if the home shopping network was on Twitch.
21
bros402 Mar 22, 2026 +20
oh my god that sounds horrible
20
VoraciousChallenge Mar 22, 2026 +1
Wtf is twitch?
1
Vandergrif Mar 22, 2026 +2
It's like those shitty shopping channels on tv 20 years ago that baby boomers with too much disposable income would watch and then buy random c*** by phone, or at least that was my general understanding.
2
6ixtyei8ht Mar 22, 2026 +4
It's like regular eBay but live... ... ... ... 😐
4
freeman687 Mar 22, 2026 -124
wtf is SNL UK for that matter lol Edit: rhetorical question. To me it is like having “Monty Python New York” or “Miami Vice London” taking something so tied to one place and exporting it for no reason
-124
samthewisetarly Mar 22, 2026 +34
This video is the first episode
34
Separate_Job_3573 Mar 22, 2026 +50

having only ever seen Graham Norton in yt shorts of his talk show I have never seen him not in a suit before now.
8
crumble-bee Mar 22, 2026 +47
I’ve watched a few of the sketches - is this.. good? Attenborough last supper, making the internet bad and the opening call to Trump were all decent, retained the British energy I was worried would be lost and weren’t too long!
47
SaysUselessThings Mar 22, 2026 +40
The skin cream one was genius. "Will make you look so young everyone will think your husband is a nonce" had me f****** howling. Shakespeare going to london repeatedly and getting more "cunty" was a bit of a unique one, and the news bit about Andrew Mountbatten being found dead in a marsh was brutal. Overall I thought it was excellent, I went in with zero expectations but was quite surprised at how good it was.
40
SeriousButton6263 Mar 22, 2026 +6
“Is that a British thing?” “It’s a thing.” was such a great line
6
coreoYEAH Mar 23, 2026 +2
I laughed at every sketch for the entire show. I haven’t done that for the US version maybe ever.
2
CommsChiefExtra Mar 22, 2026 +4
Consumate performer.

Wait, there's a SNL UK?
7
xayzer Mar 22, 2026 +6
My reaction too. There is one now apparently!
6
beefytrout Mar 22, 2026 +1
nope, elaborate prank
1
Mainiak_Murph Mar 22, 2026 +8
Love Tina Fey. Sounds like the UK version might be fun.
8
xayzer Mar 22, 2026 +4
Fun, I like the idea of SNL UK. If they ever have Stephen Fry or David Mitchell or Ross Noble or Lee Mack as a host, I would cream my pants.
4
Commercial-Stick-718 Mar 22, 2026 +7
Love Tina Fey and a good choice of host but gotta say would have really liked Graham Norton to do the hosting
7
thestereo300 Mar 22, 2026 +2
Well done. I thought it was a good start. How was the actual show?
2
krectus Mar 22, 2026 +2
Actually being able to view this and not get fenced out already makes this better than USA SNL.
2
-Wicked- Mar 22, 2026 +11
Tina Fey saying f*** on live British television...my nipples explode with delight!
11
coreoYEAH Mar 23, 2026 +2
“Cunty” being said on SNL was also unexpected.
2
batsofburden Mar 22, 2026 +10
I wanted to like UK SNL, but it didn't really hit for me. Gonna keep watching for a few weeks since it usually takes a while for a new show to find its groove, but Idk.
10
Ash_Killem Mar 22, 2026 +14
US SNL barely hits these days.
14
StyrofoamCoffeeCup Mar 22, 2026 -5
that’s because you aren’t 16 years old. it’s for people that haven’t gone to university yet. lorne michaels acknowledged that and he’s right.
-5
tfhermobwoayway Mar 22, 2026 -14
It basically defines American culture. Of course it still hits.
-14
daiwilly Mar 22, 2026 -45
I'm not sure why we have made this show. It is culturally not us!
-45
NoTitleChamp Mar 22, 2026 +28
Sketch shows aren't us? The history of UK television shows otherwise but alright.
28
daiwilly Mar 22, 2026 -19
I'm not sure why the US still does it...the show is so old fashioned and clings on by it's finger nails. Sketch shows were great about 20 years ago, but the UK rarely if ever did live group vibe comedy sketches like this...and I wish it had stayed like that.
-19
skilless Mar 22, 2026 -2
I'm hoping it's like the US version of The Office: the first few episodes didn't feel right, but it eventually became something all its own.
-2
TheRealEpstein2019 Mar 22, 2026 -31
It's not for the UK it's more SNL for Americans mocking the UK.
-31
cassian_eboudar Mar 22, 2026 +10
I don’t know, I feel like Americans wouldn’t have got things like the Autoglass Repair Autoglass Replace reference
10
Lord_Parbr Mar 22, 2026 +9
Autoglass has a sister company in the US called Safelite, which uses the same jingle, just with “Safelite” instead of “Autoglass”
9
Alternative-Iron-930 Mar 22, 2026 +4
It’s the same jingle but speedy glass in Canada!
4
Skippymabob Mar 23, 2026 +1
Same jingle across lots of countries, drove through Europe and basically every radio station had that jingle with "insert translation of Auto glass" lol
1
MVRKHNTR Mar 22, 2026 +2
[This is going to blow your mind.](https://youtu.be/STiPwOasCmE)

brainvheart143 Mar 22, 2026 -1
This sign in shit is getting very annoying
-1
folarin1 Mar 22, 2026
That was a surprise. The monologue was the funniest part of the show. Okay, I liked the The Budger too.
0
PeeEssDoubleYou Mar 22, 2026 -23
This just isn't funny, its painful to watch.
-23
e-rekt-ion Mar 22, 2026 -4
interesting that she used the term 'pants', which means something different in the UK, I wonder if that joke was met with muted laughter underneath the laugh track
-4
stealingyourpixels Mar 23, 2026 +3
British people know what Americans mean when they say pants
3
e-rekt-ion Mar 23, 2026 +2
Yeah that’s fair
2
Montecatini Mar 22, 2026 -11
Shite pandering c*** that'll probably die on it's arse and be cancelled after one series.
-11
Tube_Warmer Mar 22, 2026 -8
Certainly not as cringe as I was expecting, but still a bit "American".
-8
EntertainmentJunkie1 Mar 22, 2026 -2
eBay Live? SNL UK? tf
