I support TMZ using their incredibly invasive skills for pure chaos here. This is what our congress is doing after they just failed horribly at their jobs and part of the government remains in a shutdown They should not be allowed to vacation until the shutdown is resolved. They are embarrassment and failures

Pretend_Hotel_7465 Mar 31, 2026 +770
Yeah idk why they would just stick to celebrity shit. They’ve got the people and infrastructure to really hit politicians, might as well, it’ll bring in clicks.

Politicians want to act like reality TV show stars, they can get treated like them, too

This is also how I feel about brands who out their ads on professional sports uniforms. They want all the glory but none of the blow back. When our teams lose they should have to eat shit as well.

cat_of_danzig Mar 31, 2026 +89
This cracks me up. Like, "JP Morgan Chase stock went down 3% today after the Atlanta Hawks' devastating loss to the Mavericks, 78 to 103."

I imagine all of the prediction markets would come so hard they'd explode.

See: Scott Jennings He's a pundit on CNN, but the point remains.

Did he get busted too? Dude is the biggest POS on that network, and that's saying something.

Some of them started as tv stars. It’s all insane.

It honestly also feels less controversial.

Sminahin Mar 31, 2026 +71
Exactly. I have squicky feelings about chasing private individuals into their private lives. No such feelings about following public figures actively not doing their jobs at the expense of hundreds of millions of Americans.
71
Radiant_Waves Mar 31, 2026 +60
Politics has become an entertainment circus so it makes sense for TMZ to cover it now.
60
kgal1298 Mar 31, 2026 +12
Probably because Harvey is in the Murdoch empire they toe the line. I also think he may have been to Mar A Lago in the past? Might be miss-remembering.
12
jeremysbrain Mar 31, 2026 +7
Levin is definitely a Trump supporter and a conservative.
7
kgal1298 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Also considering Murdoch doesn't like Trump I wouldn't be shocked if they sent TMZ off on this one because it's so idiotic. Like they have to play their cards and they can't have Fox News going after the congressional members, but TMZ can get away with it.
2
popsicleinmyurethra Mar 31, 2026 +11
While TMZ generally fills the air with tabloid noise, they have an incredible track record when it comes to facts and sources.
11
shouldbepracticing85 Apr 1, 2026 +1
If you’re gonna run stories about the crazy shit some celebrities do - you better have some solid evidence on hand for the SLAPP lawsuits for libel/defamation. Might as well turn chaotic good and mess with politicians.
1
fondledbydolphins Mar 31, 2026 +4
If you put significant enough paparazzi pressure on *literal politians* they will eventually use their combined political power against you. There is an upside to exposing politicians in the same way celebrities are exposed, but they really don't want politicians to get so pissed off they make a significant portion of your methods illegal both against them *and* anyone else.
4

Just like Ted Cruz. Seniors were freezing to death in the winter in his state. Literally passing away from the cold in their own homes. Ted Cruz? On a first class flight that same weekend to Cancun, baby
44
Omarkhayyamsnotes Mar 31, 2026 +11
He was putting down margaritas in the sun! Bathing in the warm water. Seniors in his state? Without power and freezing to death in their sleep
11
Omarkhayyamsnotes Mar 31, 2026 +8
And it wasn't like he was fleeing the state to head to DC to ask for aid. He was headed to a resort in Sunny Cancun!

They have to be mad about something...Harvey usually doesn't put this much work into being bipartisan.

Lock them in a room, and they cannot leave until a resolution is arrived at. Enjoy!

Next should be their medical spending. How much are they getting approved that us poors would get denied. Expose the bias in our healthcare cuz I’m pretty sure they aren’t spending too much for top tier healthcare.

2
el3vader Apr 1, 2026 +2
Tbh I can see this being a weird bookmark in history that once tmz got involved and starting harassing vacationing members that started to push some kind of needle. I’d imagine constituents hate to see their congressmen vacationing while shit is expensive af.
2
ravenecw2 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Hell yeah. They need to do this more, in every aspect of their lives. Politicians want to be celebrities, so give them the full TMZ treatment.
2
Present-Map-7094 Mar 31, 2026 +1
Look kids, even the lowly TMZ is chipping in the democracy preservation effort! Keep using them invasive skills to keep the corrupt politicians honest!
1

But why couldn’t they figure out a way to get a magic mountain action pic 😢
1

TMZ is maga bullshit!
1
Imapatriothurrrdurrr Apr 1, 2026 +1
I support this as well. For a business that thrives on digging into people’s personal lives, let’s target the backstabbing, two faced, liars in our government who are nothing but a facade of helping the average American. Expose them for the pieces of shit they are.
1
phaedrusTHEghost Apr 1, 2026 +1
They should be scrutinized even when there isn't one. Congress-People should be Public Servants. Want vacation? Resign. There are enough of us capable of picking up the mantle that the positions don't rest.

What a world we live in where TMZ is the only American media outlet with a backbone.

TeamHope4 Mar 31, 2026 +291
Teen Vogue really stepped up during the past few years, too, with amazingly well-written and researched articles. But they were recently bought by someone, so that has ended.
291
NotUniqueWorkAccount Mar 31, 2026 +40
A Right Wing Billionaire?
40
TeamHope4 Mar 31, 2026 +70
I had to look it up to remember the details. It turns out they were folded into their parent Vogue which is owned by Conde Nast. By absorbing Teen Vogue into Vogue, they layed off half the Teen Vogue staff, including their editor-in-chief and their political writers. So, not purchased by anyone, but definitely silenced.
70
NotUniqueWorkAccount Mar 31, 2026 +3
Thanks for the info! Conde Nast, is that a Nestlé company?
3
TeamHope4 Mar 31, 2026 +16
Conde Nast is a New York company that owns digital and print publications. I think they own The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Wired. Home grown and nothing to do with the Nestle evil empire.

Technical_Algae_7907 Mar 31, 2026 +66
What a world we live in where people think TMZ is the only American media outlet with a backbone. The Epstein scandal was exposed by a Miami Herald reporter. Propublica and did the same for Clarence Thomas RVgate, and so did The Atlantic with Signalgate. You also have to ask yourself, if that were true, why is this entire sub full of articles from...the supposedly spineless American media? That kind of thinking is just an excuse to avoid having to support actual journalism with $, instead of reading plagiarized slop versions of it for free on social media.
66
cogman10 Mar 31, 2026 +18
Because we can also see how these outlets report on things (or decide not to report on things) like the ICE protests, ICE funding, the Iran war. There's a lot of framing and manufacturing of consent going on right now.
18
malac0da13 Mar 31, 2026 +4
To be fair, hegseth and crew really handed that story to the Atlantic.
4
BalanceJazzlike5116 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I mean the guy from the Atlantic was included in the signal chat. It’s not like He did groundbreaking journalism, he just said he look guys they included me on this war chat!
2

Spineless is a bad phrase for a lot of them, more like spine stolen by corrupt oligarchs
1

Finally TMZ doing something useful
182
rumster Mar 31, 2026 +107
TMZ is one of the most accurate news agencies around. They very rarely have incorrect news posts. It's really surprising.
107
hot_like_wasabi Mar 31, 2026 +35
I imagine with what they post they're constantly opening themselves up to litigation, so they have to make sure everything they do is factually accurate. Imagine if the rest of journalism was held to the same standard - you know, like before they repealed the Fairness Doctrine in 1987.
35
MHz_per_T Mar 31, 2026 +23
That's a wild misunderstanding of the [Fairness Doctrine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_doctrine), which A) only applied to over-the-air broadcasts (so not tabloids like TMZ), B) was withdrawn by the bipartisan FCC (not repealed by Congress), and C) had nothing to do with the factual accuracy of journalism (which is more of libel/slander issue). The end of the Fairness Doctrine has had major effects in American politics, but it's unrelated to this.
23
alonjit Apr 1, 2026 +1
Sure, but I rarely saw anything worthwhile written by them. Correct, just normally useless shit. Then again, that's their business so ... some people do care.

im not sure lindsey graham should be allowed at disney
33
GodsIWasStrongg Mar 31, 2026 +8
He's not even there with a kid. Just a grown man and his buds going to Space Mountain.
8
specialkk77 Apr 1, 2026 +2
There is nothing wrong with normal adults going to Disney without children. Lindsay Graham is a pedo protector though (and allegedly one himself) so ew he should not be there.
2
notusreports Mar 31, 2026 +132
Nestled between headlines about Britney Spears (“Spears Sets Sail With Sons After DUI Drama”) and Tiger Woods (“The Only One Driving Is Me!!!”), the celebrity tabloid news outlet TMZ is slamming lawmakers for skipping town as the partial government shutdown stretches into its seventh week. “Lindsey Graham was ineffective talking his colleagues into keeping the government open, but he had a great convo with Mickey Mouse Sunday ... at Disney World!!!” [the outlet wrote in one story](https://www.tmz.com/2026/03/29/lindsey-graham-at-disney-world-during-shutdown/). It’s the latest instance of the outlet taking an interest in members of Congress. TMZ executive producer Harvey Levin told NOTUS they now have a producer and a photographer circulating Capitol Hill. “We wanted to use our platforms to show how Congress — Dems AND Republicans — have betrayed us,” said Levin.
132
Be-skeptical Mar 31, 2026 +82
Levin is a both sides cretin and TMZ sucks. Don’t buy their bullshit
82
mishap1 Mar 31, 2026 +64
Levin is a pro-Trump opportunistic a******. His default is to be all-in on MAGA shit until it impacts his wealth. You don't meet with Trump if you're not bought in.
64
SatinSaffron Mar 31, 2026 +7
Yeah, in public you'll see shit like "Harvey Levin blasts Trump over Don Lemon arrest!" But then in private it's "Harvey Levin granted 1-hour private meeting with Trump that included a tour of the presidential palace" On TMZ: "Harvey Levin GOES OFF on Trump over threat to cut Air Traffic Controller pay!" Off of TMZ: "Harvey Levin says all democrats are bullies!" Multiple members of the TMZ staff have anonymously come forward to reporters over the years to talk about how uncomfortable it is to work there because Harvey supposedly makes the whole place a pretty pro-MAGA environment.
7
SpecialEdShow Mar 31, 2026 +3
Yeah there’s something bigger here. TMZ heavily favours certain people and it’s obvious. This is BTS retribution, I’m sure of it.
3
Maoleficent Mar 31, 2026 +69
I've said this many times before - these pols should not have a moment's peace in public. No violence no pics of kids. Point and laugh at them, cut them in line, stare (not glare) them. Servers - ask fof their order several times and then bring the wrong order; be out of every special. Do not let them enjoy concerts, ball games, any performance or activity. Take lots of photos of them wearing the ears. They should experience life as the average American does and feel the same unease and anxiety as we do as they are the cause of most of it.
69
Hrekires Mar 31, 2026 +117
I don't know why they're blasting Democrats as much as Republicans, as if the minority party could have prevented the majority from voting to go into recess
117
TripleSingleHOF Mar 31, 2026 +42
Because at his core, Harvey Levin is a right-wing piece of shit that will still vote GOP every time. He has ties with Trump going back to the Apprentice, for god's sake.
42
laura_leigh Mar 31, 2026 +6
I’m so sick of crying about being the minority party. They’ve had plenty of time in the last 20 years to stop the march towards fascism and oligarchy. They got the same warning via Jan 6 that the voters got but did nothing to stop them regaining power. They have the same ability to go protest. But they get “baby boi” soft treatment. NO.  Grow up and take responsibility for not fighting the shutdown. Take responsibility for Chuck Schumer calling the ACA a mistake.  No sympathy. Period.
6
notfeelany Mar 31, 2026 +19
Not really. In last 20 years, Democrats only have trifectas twice and only for 2 years (Obama and Biden) . All Congressional and Presidential terms end and it's on the voters to vote for another term. THE VOTERS ensured that Democrats are kicked out of Congress during the midterms effectively stopping the progress that Obama and Biden were making. Never forget that Despite the "obstruction" by GOP, the Democrats under Obama and Biden were still able to do lots of things. During Obama, Democrats saved the economy and advanced the cause of universal health care in the US by passing the ACA! During Biden, Democrats saved the economy (AGAIN!) and stopped a raging pandemic! Truly inspirational leadership. > They got the same warning via Jan 6 that the voters got but did nothing to stop them regaining power. You mean, THE VOTERS got the same warning and did the exact opposite and allowed Trump to go back in power. There's no restrictions on whether a convicted felon or a jailed felon can run for president. Trump in Jail and Trump in Maralago is just a difference in location. His name can still be on ballots, And The Supreme Court even made sure with the Colorado case. By 2024, Biden’s first term was going to end regardless because each president only gets 4 years per term. Voters must vote for another term. Voters should have voted for Biden/Kamala/Democrats, regardless of Trump's location. Every person who said "Don't vote for Biden/Kamala" contributed to this mess. But it's still fixable. This is on all of us to fix by giving Democrats their rightful place back so we must vote for Democrats now&forever without exception for at least 50 years
19
Canadiangoosedem0n Mar 31, 2026 +4
Beautiful post but facts don't matter to these online types.  It's a lot easier to blame everything on the Dems being terrible versus actually taking responsibility for your actions. We all know that if they actually got up and voted instead of being edgelords online things would change but even that small thing is too much for them 😔
4
DoctahToboggan69 Mar 31, 2026 +1
I wouldn’t go so far as to blame everything on democrats (although they’re absolutely to blame in lots of other stuff, their main issue being that they’re feckless COWARDS) but there’s very much nuance to this kind of debate. Democrats aren’t your friends either. They don’t represent the working class.
1
prettyinacasket Mar 31, 2026 +16
Chuck "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed you didn't file the correct paperwork before starting a war" Schumer
16
batmansthebomb Apr 1, 2026 +3
> They’ve had plenty of time in the last 20 years to stop the march towards fascism and oligarchy When?? Please do tell. >Take responsibility for Chuck Schumer calling the ACA a mistake. He said it was politically a mistake, and he was right. Republicans gained 6 seats in the Senate, ending Dems super majority, and gained 63 seats in the House winning the majority in the 2010 elections. If that's not a political loss I don't know what is. And to be clear, I hate Schumer.
3
Hrekires Mar 31, 2026 +4
The topic here is the Senate and House voting to go into recess, not the "20 year march towards fascism."
4
sandy017 Mar 31, 2026 +2
you're all over the place.
2
laura_leigh Mar 31, 2026 -1
My point is when Republicans are the minority party the triple down and fight harder. Dems only message right now is to cry about how they can’t do anything because there are less of them. It’s lazy. It’s entitled. It’s mocking the pain of their voters. Stop crying and start fighting fire with fire. Start acting like a real opposition party instead of spoiled toddlers waiting for someone to come hand them votes.  Earn your voters back by working for them instead of whining at them.
-1
Sqkerg Apr 1, 2026 +3
God I hate when people talk like this. Just “fight harder” and “fight fire with fire” How nice and vague.

To be fair here, TMZ are clearly using their power to punch up here. I am not sayingf they don't when they target celebrities, but this is a clear case. And if there is one type of speech that should be protected above all others it is speaking truth to power.

Coincidentally, i have a new obsession with TMZ. They have become a heavy-weight in political reporting since the guys who used to do that just carry water for the political class. TMZ didnt climb up to politics, politics climbed down. This should be embarrassing for those who now work for billionaires in media that once considered themselves serious people.
5
donut-hypnosis Mar 31, 2026 +1
Levin is very pro trump. So TMZ can go f*** itself.
1
Accurate_Neat_355 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Didn't know that, but i also didnt really know who Levin is. And so i wondered why someone owns TMZ and supports trump, would take embarrassing photos of Lindsey Graham just now as hes calling for invasion of Iran. This would be contradictory. I looked it up and it makes more sense now: >Levin supported Donald Trump in the run-up to the 2016 United States presidential election.[32] Following the election, he met with Trump in the Oval Office on March 7, 2017, and chatted for an hour.[33] However, by August 2018,[34] he distanced himself from Trump over the president's repeated attempts to establish a transgender military ban. He became an increasingly vocal opponent of Trump in the years following.[35][36] Hes a moron. They're all trump supporters until the image they mentally projected onto trump falls apart.
3
Background_Sir_4388 Mar 31, 2026 +5
Lindsay Grahm publicly stated he went to Israel every other week to learn from the Mossad how to convince Trump to invade Iran. So yeah we should probably watch that childless pro-draft weirdo.
5

Never thought I'd say this but good on TMZ

KingMario05 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Good!  No notes. Keep it up, Harvey!

God's work
3
neeesus Mar 31, 2026 +3
If I don’t have the funds to go on vacation, the people who “represent” me shouldn’t be going on vacation. They should be working their asses off for the people.
3
Iyellkhan Mar 31, 2026 +3
unfortunately this will just become another reason good, qualified people just wont run for office at all
3
BlueCollarElectro Mar 31, 2026 +3

3
Complex-Range-9029 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Good
3
My_browsing Mar 31, 2026 +3
I firmly believe that if the TMZ people took over the NYT politics desk we would live in a very different country.
3
MrDedferd Mar 31, 2026 +3
Anyone else find it concerning that this childless 70 year old is going to Disney world for vacation?
3
Basicyeti837 Mar 31, 2026 +3
That’s really not fair to Graham. He didn’t get an opportunity to use Grindr once because everyone was tracking him.
3
Space-Turtle88 Mar 31, 2026 +3
I keep reading the tmz guy is in the epstein files. This is a nice distraction for him I'm sure

baylaust Mar 31, 2026 +3
"The enemy of my enemy..."
3
Kitakitakita Mar 31, 2026 +3
insane to think that this will probably have more impact than any democratic campaigning
3
COLCORN_1979 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Lindsey Graham on Fire Island? Just come out dude. No one’s fooled.
3
Smrleda Mar 31, 2026 +3
Nothing wrong with letting Americans know what Congress is doing while they voted against paying TSA.
3
AwkwardTickler Mar 31, 2026 +3
A little status tracker of where they are at all times would be a great idea
3
MikeOxfat57 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Love it!! Make all their lives as uncomfortable as possible.
3
No-Builder-2474 Apr 1, 2026 +3
If your spitting hate all day on your keyboard don't be surprised when people yell back in public.
3
TwistedFated Apr 1, 2026 +3
I hated TMZ until just now.

OwnIllustrator1609 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Finally TMZ yall are scumbags but shit this is something I can get behind. Literally just do this
2

I love it. They should do this more.
2
Different_Victory_89 Mar 31, 2026 +2
We should do like certain European countries do, you don't pass a budget, election time!

Or Canada.
1
DevilDog-Send_It Mar 31, 2026 +2

Don’t let them relax till they earn their f****** vacation.
2
Procrastineddit Mar 31, 2026 +2
Yeah, well, if he wasn't strolling around Disney like a f****** weirdo...
2

Annoying the paprazzi rag is the only one doing what the press should be doing

Fire them all
2
contude327 Mar 31, 2026 +2
I hope someone kept the little boys out of the bathroom while Ms. Lindsay was in there.
2
finny_d420 Mar 31, 2026 +2
The National Inquirer* brought down Gary Hart. *This was under old ownership when they didn't kill articles for their rich and powerful friends. Ie Trump affair with Marla was front page of that rag. Now they buy and kill stories to appease TACO.
2
lnc_5103 Apr 1, 2026 +2
TMZ using their forces for good this time.
2
Greener-dayz Apr 1, 2026 +2

2
RocketSkates314 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Way to go TMZ! Don’t let them get a second of peace and quiet.
2
willuleavemealonenow Apr 1, 2026 +2
They don't really serve a role in government anymore. They're just interesting little public figures "Look at him with the mouse ears, and the old man twig legs in the Bermuda shorts. Precious.". Avatars to the grievance of mediocre whites (by and large). The vestigial tail of a former democratic republic.
2
alonjit Apr 1, 2026 +2
I mean, finally doing something that may matter. What celebrity was wearing where is irrelevant to both the reader and the celebrity. A politician's hypocrisy, cowardliness exposed like that may (unlikely, but may as well try) cost them the next election. Some of them may even change their shitty behaviour. Or learn to hide better.

Novel_Quote8017 Mar 31, 2026 +1
People get angry over the DHS issue while willfully ignoring the middle east war-shaped elephant in the room. Fun.
1
fluffHead_0919 Apr 1, 2026 +1
This could be something TMZ is good for
1
MostlyBored11 Apr 1, 2026 +1
For once a good thing TMZ is doing they still suck but I will enjoy the pictures of dumbass congressmen in vacation during a shutdown
1
DicemonkeyDrunk Apr 1, 2026 +1
Motives aside it’s good business sense …the majority of people will side with them as no likes politicians
1
Ok-Advertising4028 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Give them all the clicks for this kind of journalism
1
disillusioned Apr 1, 2026 +1
Does their platinum plated version of Medicare not cover Ozempic? Damn, Lindsay Graham...
1
Former-Counter-9588 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Very interesting given Harvey’s maga ties. I bet once Trump berates him, he’ll stop. I wonder if Harvey is after Trump money or just trying to get attention. It’s always about money or power tripping with MAGA folk.
1
almazing415 Apr 1, 2026 +1
TMZ doing the lord’s work.
1
PainfulRaindance Apr 1, 2026 +1
First time I’ll ever cheer on TMZ. Annoy people who deserve it.
1
PerksNReparations Apr 1, 2026 +1
Fetterman probably went to a worm farm
1
jsmithers945 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Let’s go TMZ? Edit: let’s encourage this behavior so we can get more “this politician is cheating on his wife!” “You’ll never guess who diddled little Dylan! Half of congress!” The more we shed a light on how disgusting these fuckers are the more I feel compelled to CHANGE WHO WE HAVE RUNNING OUR COUNTRY.
1
BarCompetitive7220 Apr 1, 2026 +1
My Congresscritter is down talking to the children . families in Dilley TX which is on its way to permanently closing. Then he is doing Ambassador type work South of US
1
BarCompetitive7220 Apr 1, 2026 +1
You have to read the disconnect from R-House member - we voted for the same bs over and over and yet somehow they cannot figure out why they are losing. That dear readers is the definition of insanity.
