Every issue that the Republican Party used to be able to use a talking point to get their base out to vote is now a disadvantage for them because they worsened each situation.

Yes! They completely lied to their own base. I said this in another comment but hopefully with the recent victories that democrats have had in elections there will be a blue wave in the midterms.

The GOP will not govern, they will dictate and enrich themselves, but never actually help the vast majority of the country through any social, economic or existential problem they face.

Hopefully in the midterms this year there will be a big turnout to vote blue to vote out these republicans in office,

They never wanted to govern. They want to *rule*.

When is the myth of fiscal responsibility attributed to the GOP going to go away? Apparently bigotry and subjugation of others means fiscally responsible. Exploitation is just “common sense.”

When being an upper 0.1% capitalist no longer correlates with being GOP. You see, people have this stupid idea that if someone is rich, they will be good for the economy, because they know how to make money.    The problem with this idea is that money doesn't come from nowhere.   It comes from siphoning money from other people, including doing things like offloading bags and selling high on investments. The wealthy are wealthy because  they were siphoning money towards themselves and away from other parties in an extremely lopsided fashion.   There is no reason to believe, intrinsically, that they wouldn't do the same to their constituents, or include their constituents under their own umbrella, but people have this default assumption of the latter.    Tens upon tens of millions of them.

Republican economics have always been bad and its all kinds of frustrating that the news media doesn't rebuke their insanity more voraciously. The US can not continue to give the Epstein class free reign.

You'll notice that all of these people telling average Americans that they have to sacrifice are rich, and certainly will not themselves be doing so.

It's almost as if all of Trump's economic "policies" were as bad for the economy as all the economists warned us that they would be.... Except for if you're already a billionaire. Then you're doing great.

What's absolute insanity is that he bankrupted all of our farmers back in 2017 and they totally didn't care and voted for it again

Damn.. kind of an indictment on Democrats if they haven't figured out a counter in 50 years.

Because its faster to break than it is to fix, it took us 8 years to see any actual improvement out of 2007s recession

So, the plan is electoral dice rolls in Dems favor forever?

There's a reason the GOP keeps defunding education and putting in the dumbest people for county boards of education YOU and everyone in your county would need to start from the smallest office before you start trying to deal with governors and senators last mid term every single option for my local board of education were all linked to the same 3 extremist christian fundamentalist churches, there was 6 options

blazesquall Mar 27, 2026
Damn.. so we need the Dems to fund education and find extremist atheist churches to combat this? I don't think me larping as an Christian is going to work out.

It only took gas prices raising by nearly $2/gallon, groceries and rent becoming more unaffordable, and people being laid off in droves for republicans to realize that *maybe* the guy who’s declared bankruptcy numerous times wasn’t the man to trust with the economy.

With this administration things are going to get more expensive until they come down if they ever do in this administration.

I still say he is acting like there is nothing for him to worry about during the next election and that scares me.

The propaganda of fear that the Republican party relied on for decades has run its course and now they have only slavish loyalty to Trump. There only hope is to overthrow the election apparatus but that's not going to happen. This could be the biggest shift in political power since 1932.

are voters ever going to figure out that Republicans are always terrible for the economy? There hasn't been a Republican President who improved the economy in nearly 40 years.
