One of the actresses who voiced the "Tokyo Rose" characters spreading radio propoganda to demoralize US troops during WW2 was a US born citizen, who got stuck in Japan and forced to work for the propoganda machine.
Her name was Toguri D’Aquinon, and upon returning to thr US after the war she was charged with treason and served prison time for it.

Did you read the Wikipedia article on Tokyo Rose or the one on Toguri specifically?
The latter says she refused to broadcast any anti American propaganda and didn't, mainly doing comedy sketches. Which is pretty different than what the original comment says where it described her as someone who read propaganda. So I'd say its more complicated in that she didn't actually participate in the propaganda and was just falsely accused as such.

Yeah, I know, but my point is that the US is easily going to overlook people's connection with human rights violation, if convenient to them, like after WWII or with many regimes, independent from the party in power. But it would be unfair to frame the US as the only country that does that, as many did in different continents like in Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, and others. Just pointing out money goes a long way.

But the daugther of Soleimani ,Narjes Soleimani, says the have absolutely no relation or connection to Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and his daugther.
If you go to her personal website listed on her instagram "hamideafshar" on The Wayback Machine, it's literally just a page of support to Reza Pahlavi
193,000 people worldwide have the surname “Soleimani” .About 190,000 are in Iran.
His website on his instagram : [https://web.archive.org/web/20260404175328/https://afsharwear.com/](https://web.archive.org/web/20260404175328/https://afsharwear.com/)
It seems they deported a woman and her daughter from the Iranian diaspora who opposed the regime.
If someone is Soleimani's niece, it means she is the daughter of one of his brothers. He had two brothers: one never married and died at 27 without children, and the other, Sohrab Soleimani, had five children, all of whom are known members of the Iranian government.
If Sohrab Soleimani and Narjes Soleimani, who would be her father and sister, do not care about her at all and claim not to know her, and she has a different last name, such as Hamideh Soleimani Afshar instead of Narjes Soleimani, and appears older than Sohrab Soleimani’s daughters, is she really related to them at all?

She wasn't deported because she's the daughter of Soleimani, she was deported because she made a provably false asylum claim. She visited Iran at least four times since she was granted the green card. People who need asylum don't do that.

It is well documented that many high profile Iranians in the government have their children living in the US. The NY Post compiled a list of many of the most prominent examples.
“In total, there are estimated to be between 4,000 and 5,000 relatives of prominent Iranian regime leaders and bureaucrats living in the US, according to experts and dissidents.”

Wonderful news! Hamideh Soleimani Afshar actively promoted Iranian regime propaganda on her now-deleted Instagram, celebrated attacks on US soldiers and facilities in the Middle East, praised Iran's new Supreme Leader (likely Mojtaba Khamenei), called America the "Great Satan," and expressed strong support for the IRGC, a US-designated terrorist group. Her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny (also called Sarin Sadat Hosseini), is implicated alongside her mother in the same support for the regime.
But why do they live in America, if America is so bad? America is the great Satan according to them. And why are they not wearing a hijab?

You'd be surprised to learn, but family members of the most dangerous regime in the world currently live in the US. That's right, the trump family.

I’m curious, I’m not saying she didn’t say anything against America but it’s just hard to trust this administration—is there any links to her socials that had these perspectives?
I’m curious on what was said and don’t trust their word.

I think people are conflating two things in this story.
The younger woman active on social media is the daughter, I don't think she's been accused of voicing support for the regime. It's her mother that they're saying has.
Not sure why the daughter is "guilty" by association though, seems like she's pretty much internalized American lifestyle by everything I've seen.

In a not too distant future, all of Trump's descendants should also be stripped off citizenship. Not political, just by association of criminality.

Under us law green card holders have the same free speech rights as other citizens. If this is allowed it will be a major violation of her constitutional rights.
Its free speech, not free speech until the government doesn't like it.

Of course Al Jeazeera doesn't mention it, but the bigger legal issue for Hamideh Soleimani Afshar is she entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in 2015, claimed asylum which was granted in 2019, became a green card holder in 2021, and then proceeded to visit Iran 4 times between 2021-2025.
Actual criteria for asylum in the U.S. is very narrow, and the crux of it is that the asylee cannot return to their home country due to fear of persecution. This woman began making repeated trips to Iran, a country for which she made a sworn declaration to the U.S. government as being unsafe for her to be, as soon as she was granted permanent residency, and the green card was only available to her because of her conditional legal status via her asylum claim.
What happened to Hamideh Soleimani Afshar is the immigration equivalent of dominoes falling. If the federal government finds out you lied or misrepresented yourself on literally any part of your immigration paperwork up to, and including, naturalization, they can take steps to revoke your status and remove you from the country.
Take away all the noise of who she is related to and the core issue is, was she a legitimate asylum seeker? Her own travel history indicates otherwise.

Under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, green card holders can have their status revoked by the Secretary of State for national security interests. Multiple Supreme Court decisions have said that this affords them the right to file a *habeas* petition for review by the courts, but that deferral to the executive branch's decision is assumed.

So openly supporting a terrorist organization and having literal blood ties with one of the most prolific heads of said terorrist organization and celebrating US soldiers getting killed is free speech?

If she's such an outspoken supporter of the Iran regime, why doesn't the article provide any examples of such statements? Or anything of substance to support this decision?

The social media posts don't even matter. They weren't the legal basis used for deportation. The legal reason was the visits to Iran. You can't claim asylum from a country and then keep going there for visits.

First off, you need a better news source, this one is biased.
>But Iranian media quoted Soleimani’s daughter, Zeinab Soleimani, as issuing a denial that the two women arrested had any ties whatsoever to the late Quds Force leader.
>“The individuals arrested in the United States have no connection whatsoever to martyr Soleimani, and the claim made by the US State Department is false,” Zeinab said in a statement.
I think think Iranian government doesn't want the people or Iran to think that they the children of one of their "martyr" had taken refuge in the country their religious dictators pray for death too.

GOOD. Family members of these barbarians live overseas where they can spend the billions they've stolen from the people of Iran, while their parents use the name of "God" to murder Iranians and maintain their power and wealth.

She's not a citizen, and she's been caught being hostile towards America. Furthermore, residency can be terminated, as it has been for her.
