Not only did Trump weaponize the Department of Justice, he weaponized the (checks notes) Federal Housing Finance Agency.  Trump and Project 2025 want to turn every remaining agency into politicized enforcement agencies.

I wonder how many grand juries will refuse to return true bills before they finally give up.

Remember when Trump was claiming the government was politicizing the legal system to persecute him? Anyone?

Makes you wonder why he hasn’t gone after E Jean Carrol again. She successfully took him out behind the woodpile.

President Donald Trump’s top housing official Bill Pulte [issued two new criminal referrals](https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/25/politics/bill-pulte-criminal-referral-letitia-james?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=missions&utm_source=reddit) for New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday, attempting to revive the administration’s ongoing legal pursuit of one of his political opponents. According to a person familiar with the matter, Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, issued two referrals to the Justice Department, one to the US Attorney for Northern District of Illinois and another to the US Attorney for Southern District of Florida. Both alleged “suspected homeowners insurance fraud.” One referral alleges James “may have defrauded” an “Illinois-based company, Allstate” when she submitted a homeowners insurance application for her Norfolk, Virginia property. The other alleges she may have done so on her homeowners insurance application to a Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company, Universal Property Insurance. Both referrals cite posts on X by Mike Davis, a longtime Trump legal adviser. An attorney for James, Abbe Lowell, accused the administration of continuing an “improper revenge campaign instead of helping bring down the rising cost of living in this country.”

Same crimes that cases got dismissed in the states where they allegedly occurred, seems like they're trying to get cute by filing in the state where the insurance companies' bases of operations are located. Should get tossed for jurisdiction, but I'm sure the headline is all the admin is after here.

This headline does not do anything except continue to build the future case against Bill Pulte for misuse of government resources.

Do "posts on X by Mike Davis" really count as new evidence?

You know, since that party is constantly projecting — weaponizing the DoJ; um, pedophilia rings — someone should be taking notes on all this shit for after. If they say she lied on forms and should go to jail, there’s no way some of them don’t have forms themselves that qualify. They’re not smart enough to come up with this any other way.
