Yeah, that doesn't make sense unless it was an inside job since if it was just thieves they'd have had to break in to the building a second time to retrieve the trophy from the basement. Definitely not "master thieves".

Could've been maintenance/cleaning staff or active who had access to the building who was hoping for a time with a lot less eyes around.
