It's a confirmed fact that the Mojtaba struggled with "impotence" and wasn't able to conceive a child until his 40's after multiple trips to the UK for "fertility treatment". Mojtaba was also reputed to be distrusted as a successor by his father and wasn't on his father's shortlist of candidates.
If you read between the lines on just what is publicly available (yet alone what the CIA has), it's extremely believable that Mojtaba is gay.
