I am going to visit my friend in the ICU today. He has kidney failure. His treatment for a rare blood disorder was partially funded by a NIH grant that was cut last year. We've all been watching him slowly die for about a year now. It's a nightmare. And I f****** hate Trump voters for that.

I’m so sorry about your friend. It’s unforgivable for that to happen in our country and I wish it was different. I always thought it would make a great script/novel…to have a Trump voter wake up one day and have to experience the consequences of his vote on a micro level, in his own life. Like a MAGA version of Big. I think such an experience would change minds.

Correct. They are only Pro-Life when there is a child in the womb. Once it's out, they don't give two shits about it. Unless it's a girl they can easily traffic and r***. But after that, they don't care again.

*The “unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.* — Methodist Pastor David Barnhart

My wife's MS meds are made overseas. The uninsured cost is already $100,000+ a year. The fight to get it covered so we only spend $200 a month has been insane. I fear they're going to drop coverage completely if it doubles in cost.

Thats his plan.

Donald Trump is already killing people, has been killing people, and will continue to kill people until he dies. :| He is one sadistic son of a b****.

DreadnaughtHamster Apr 3, 2026 +1
I think that’s the point. They WANT to hurt and kill people.

What a great idea. >Roughly 80% to 90% of generic drugs and their active ingredients (APIs) used in the U.S. are imported, with significant reliance on India and China.

That’s fine. I didn’t want healthcare anyways. I’d much rather sit in a nice chair and wait for the inevitable end.

A nice chair? In *this* economy?

Anything can be a nice chair if your standards are low enough, even a face.

Didn’t SCOTUS say he can impose tariffs like this?
13
Harry_Mud Apr 2, 2026 +8
Yep.... But tRump doesn't care.... He thinks he can do whatever he wants and no one can tell him otherwise including SCOTUS.

HellaTroi Apr 2, 2026 +2
That's why he demanded to sit in the middle of yesterday's hearing on birthright citizenship, so he scowl at the Supreme Court Justices.

MasemJ Apr 2, 2026 +2
Because the commerce dept did a review, this is not tariffs under the IEEPA that scotus ruled on, but under one of the trade acts that does give him this power. A few require this commerce dept. assessment to be enacted. Of course the commerce's report is ripe for an APA type challenge since it claims this is a national security issue.

>The Trump administration is preparing to impose new tariffs on branded drugs from pharmaceutical companies that have not struck landmark deals with the president to lower their U.S. drug prices So make them cost more?

Ok-Opposite2309 Apr 2, 2026 +10
My guess is he wants them to list only on his TrumpRX site, where he is going to also demand he be paid for use of his name. He thought Obama got a cut of ‘Obamacare’… https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/09/trump-obama-obamacare-royalties-claim

The idiot needs his tariff pacifier after his weak ass speech last night.

MJcorrieviewer Apr 2, 2026 +4
That's not going to bring drug prices down by 500 or 1000%.

Where is all this money going? The debt is climbing at an unprecedented rate where is all this tariff money going? Where is all the money from all of the programs that he has cut?

I've always said we needed more expensive healthcare.
2
papaHans Apr 2, 2026 +2
Is this what he meant by lowering drugs by 1500%?
2
BritTheBret Apr 2, 2026 +2
But 100% markup of a 1000% d******* is 2000% cheaper.
2
RoosterMedical Apr 2, 2026 +1
"I'm doing what no politician of either party has ever done — standing up to the special interests to dramatically reduce the price of prescription drugs.” Attribution is unnecessary.
1
Ok-Opposite2309 Apr 2, 2026 +1
But wait- he will waive the tariffs if they list on TrumpRX, therefore giving you a 100% d*******!!

It's Biden's fault. By analogy, Biden was too slow trying to fix the small leak in the roof of our collective house. So voters decided to hire the maniac who would fix our collective house by first turning it into a meth lab. That maniac would then use a fuel-air bomb on the leak in the roof.

People want to scream and throw fits over this take but I share it. Politicians are so busy playing shell games and taking corporate money that they have pissed off all of their voters on all ends of the political spectrum. Republicans found a psycho to burn the country down in vengeance, democrats think it’s enough to be anti-trump even though we have seen that democrats in office do not even attempt to shift the Overton window back in a safe and sane direction. We are rudderless.
