It’s amazing to watch the yanks just flush their own soft power, dignity and alliances like that. They are losing things they are never getting back.

Trump is a Putin asset.

How anyone can look objectively at what's happening and not see this is amazing. And Russia's long game was called out decades ago in The Foundations of Geopolitics But when you're part of a cult, dear leader is NEVER wrong

Yup, we’ve been hearing about Russian interference in US politics for years and this is the fruit of their labours come up pass.

Forty years of stagnant policies from congress while defunding social programs including education, Citizens United allowing unlimited sums of money to fund political campaigns, Christianity serving white supremacy fascist groups, runaway wealth inequality, Israel co-opting politicians, KGB retribution for WWII, and finally all of those things culminating in an angry, stupid, economically oppressed white male impotent rage elect a person who gave legitimacy to their misguided and pathetic grievances. And now the world will see what unregulated capitalism looks like as every last bit of value is extracted from its people, land, and future, so that a global network of pedophiles can remain anonymous in the shadows.

It is so much worse. He aligns naturally with Authoritarians, and more or less half the country is fine with their current course.

He idolizes them. Putin and Kim Jong Un are his heroes.

Americans are going to be in the same boat as Russians if this goes on much longer. "Elected" leader does anything he wants. Government systems don't do squat. And the citizens just accept things. Par for the course for every country? Well almost. Except not every other country is kidnapping other "elected" leaders, or squeezing another country dry, or bombing another, or threatening to invade everyone else.

FailureToReason Mar 28, 2026 +1
Trump is a Putin asset (Mueller report) compromised by Israel (Epstein files). Difficult situation to be in lol. He does what Putin wants because Putin has the pee tape. He does what Netenyahu wants because Bibi had videos of him f****** children. And Americans, despite having all of the evidence they needed to draw this conclusion themselves in full view (Mueller report, Trump's guilty-as-f*** behaviour and associations with Epstein), still opted to elect him. Look at the collapse of the soviet union as a model for the future of USA.

It's bizarre to hear this sentiment STILL. He's clearly owned. You're right about that. But we're in a war no one can understand on behest of another country, and it is not Russia. Your instincts are right and yet Russiagate is a literal hoax. You still say it in a thread with real evidence of Trump being an asset, and you people still talk about Russiagate. It is so weird. It's like you never updated your 2016 software.

LeonardSmallsJr Mar 27, 2026 +47
Half of us understand the permanent damage that has already been done, how much worse it will get, and are screaming as loud as we can. The other half is eating paste and celebrating how mad we are.
47
MixtureSpecial8951 Mar 27, 2026 +13
Eh, more than half of us see what is going on. Approximately a third of the electorate is eating paste and all that.
13
SlugFromSnug Mar 28, 2026 +5
Close to 170 million Americans chose this path. Was obvious to everyone se in the world.
5
MixtureSpecial8951 Mar 28, 2026 -7
Incorrect, Trump received 77,302,580 votes. He received almost 50% of all votes cast, 49.8 to be precise. Of eligible voters, 65.3% actually voted. So, 49.8% of 65.3% is 32.52. In other words, just under one third of eligible voters chose this knucklehead. And the polling numbers prove this out. It is a tyranny of the minority at the moment.
-7
SlugFromSnug Mar 28, 2026 +10
And a further 90 million chose not to vote and are thus complicit in this fuckknucklery A majority of eligible voters were ok with a regime that murders school children
10
Cautious-Body-9748 Mar 28, 2026
DJT got 80% of the evangelical vote, too. Christian conservatives are an enormous portion of the R voting bloc. With many who essentially treat Israel like the 51st state due to religious and prophetic beliefs. If a candidate promotes it as such it’s a guaranteed capture of their vote.
0
SlugFromSnug Mar 28, 2026 +2
Yeah. Religious nutters are a danger. One currently has access to nuclear weapons and stealth bombers
2
Cautious-Body-9748 Mar 28, 2026 +2
They’d have no problem with a full blown religious theocracy. It’s as if now, more than ever the whole idea of separation of church and state isn’t of any concern. Given recent national and foreign policies, excessive executive orders, feverish loyalty by his followers, and how actions by our government are marketed to the public. The pendulum needs to swing back the other way like yesterday.
2
Joddodd Mar 28, 2026 +3
And one third did not vote, or in other words, did not find it important enough to take the time to vote. They decided that they were OK with it either way. As the saying goes "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing". So while it may be a tyranny, it is not a tyranny of the minority. One third is for, one third don't care and one third is against. The third that did not vote can be counted in both camps, but using the saying above, they sided with evil. Please prove me wrong if you have an election in November.

-4
rekaba117 Mar 28, 2026 +8
"if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice" The ~90,000,000 voters that stayed home chose this path just as much as the ~77,000,000 that voted for this.
8
SlugFromSnug Mar 28, 2026 +3
Ok then, Google it 77 million voted for him Approx 90 million chose not to vote Even the puny American brain can do the maths on that
3

Television_Powerful Mar 28, 2026 +2
The NHS slogan leave campaign used for Brexit is a good contestant too. "We send the EU £350 million a week, let's fund our NHS instead". From wiki: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vote\_Leave\_bus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vote_Leave_bus) [^(\[1\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vote_Leave_bus#cite_note-businessinsider-1) "Cummings has credited the words on the bus for the Leave campaign's victory, and 42 percent of people who had heard of the claim still believed it was true by 2018." It's all the same though, populists screaming nonsense and getting away with it. It really took a turn for the worst when Trump won in 2016. Politics is just symbolic, theatre and polarized arguments. There are zero intelligent debates or actual improvements for the middle man.
2
Particle_wombat Mar 28, 2026 +4
The saddest part (other than the human misery all of Trump's actions are bringing to the world) is that he's giving it all away for pennies on the dollar and a pat on the head.

Only way to get their trust at this point is to make sure he sees consequences and also measures are taken so that someone like him (dark triad, possible bpd) isn't able to get into office again. Nothing else will truly fix it.
1
calcifer219 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Yeah… even if he was relieved of office tomorrow the world view of the US will not be repaired in my lifetime. Can we go back to 2017 and have a mulligan!?

Haven't we already done that? I'm not sure how we can (US) can damage out international relationships further apart from attacking an ally (wich may be in the cards).

BlackMan9693 Mar 28, 2026 -1
>losing things they are never getting back They'll get it back. I despise the current US administration but none of this would have lasting consequences. Japan has good and important trade agreements with China and South Korea despite all the mind wrecking history. The next administration just has to act humble for a while and distance itself from the actions and methods of the current one. It sounds simple and it is but it literally is like that. The current attitude of the various world leaders should be a good enough indicator for how things would play out. Of course, it all depends on a change in US administration for the better.
-1
arvigeus Mar 28, 2026 +2
Politics is not a place to hold grudges. As they say, there are no true friends or enemies, only common interests. This said, I hope the rest of the world, Europe in particular, will start growing its own teeth and stop relying on USA for everything, regardless how “amazing” next administration could be. Ok to sit on the same table as equals and allies, but not letting them be “leaders of the free world” again.
2
BlackMan9693 Mar 28, 2026 +3
>but not letting them be “leaders of the free world” again Agreed. No one nation should be allowed that much sway or say in the world.

Yes, the weapons are needed for the war against Iran which the administration told us has no military potential left and declared victory over a few dozen times
84
soulstormfire Mar 27, 2026 +16
It also lied about it's stocks of weapons being full.
16
foghillgal Mar 27, 2026 +2
Honestly, the US does not have the current capacity to do a significative incursion into Iran. One that will that won\`t allow Iran to frack up all oil production in the middle east. It\`s really pathetic .
2
queen-adreena Mar 28, 2026 +1
Which is insane given they spend a trillion dollars every year on their military and it’s exhausted after 2 weeks of bombing.

If it doesn't encourage the EU to produce weapons by itself instead of paying the US to do it, then nothing will.
51
asdhjasdhlkjashdhgf Mar 27, 2026 +12
guy with limited understanding of lasting cooperation doesn't understand why and how US gained its former influence on Europe. So talked himself into a rage of hypothetical spending waste while outpacing reality how super in superpower became more or less acknowledged and relied up on. Now it's not a given anymore - it will only become way more expensive. The surprise is he lashes out in a way that exposes the weakness of that 'super' because it doesn't work without Europe.
12
catzarrjerkz Mar 28, 2026 +1
The defense companies are still going to exist and sell product to any buyer. If anything this continues to enrich and fuel the military industrial complex
1
IntelArtiGen Mar 28, 2026 +3
> The defense companies are still going to exist and sell product to any buyer. Well in almost all countries they can't do it without political authorization, and if Trump says "we take that, we need it in iran, you stop selling it to other people" they'll just obey.
3
No_Conversation_9325 Mar 27, 2026 -7
EU is producing weapons by itself. However, those are too c**** to fulfil % obligations. Why buy a drone for 40k when you can buy the same drone for 400k and make US happy?

The Washington Post previously reported that the US is considering redirecting weapons intended for Ukraine, including air defence missiles already ordered under the PURL initiative, to the Middle East. We are not amazed that already ordered missiles most probably go to the Middle East. It was just question of time. Sorry, but if it happens, many nations will question the USA's credibility.

5
ArcticCelt Mar 28, 2026 +5
Another reason why no country should consider the USA for weapons procurement: they will cut you off when you need them most. The EU should stop subsidizing the U.S. military-industrial complex and buy only European weapons or from trustworthy, real allies to develop their independent industries.
5

2

So why do you need more weapons if your enemy has been destory, their Army, Navy, and Airforce all has been wipe out and all their missile launchers destory?

Here we go again if Trump does not get his way on anything. Then he switches to what he always does. Threaten Ukraine to delay the supply of weapons.

So in the event of a global war the US does not have the capacity to supply all their allies who have already spent billions on American systems.
3
ghostbannomore Mar 28, 2026 +1
I think the headline is also misleading, these are not U.S supplies for Ukraine. These are weapons that have been bought on behalf of Ukraine. This will be sold to the MAGA cult as U.S donations which they are not.
