As I understand from the news, US does not look as if they are negotiating. They just want Iran to accept their terms.  And Iran’s regime feels they have nothing to lose, so here we are.

I don't think it matters much.  Trump won't stick to any of his agreements.  It's impossible to deal with him.

So the Iranian Foreign Minister never sought to speak to the Americans and there was no offer. Trump is a delusional bullshitter who just says whatever he wishes was true and makes him feel better about himself.

Iran was the one attacked, now they're the ones holding all the cards and leverage. Nice job Don.

Pretty obvious that neither sides holds all the cards.

When a sanctioned country twice the size of Texas can hold the largest military on Earth at bay by squeezing the strait of Hormuz and affecting global trade, prices and economic growth I'd say they have the advantage.

Yes, blocking the strait is a card, a great card but it's obviously not all the cards.

Seems like Trump doesn't hold all the cards either. And for someone who owned a c*****, he uses card metaphors extremely poorly.

They're dictating terms, not Trump. Whoever dictates terms holds the cards.

They can beg for whatever they want. Doesn't mean the US(or anyone else in the Western world) takes that begging seriously.

Is anyone else controlling oil being over $100 per barrel?

That's not the IRGC victory you think it is. All it does long term is turn even more of the world against Iran. It also ignores how bad Iran's own economy is doing. I mean I get the IRGC doesn't care about the Iranian people's lives and only cares about killing nonbelivers but they won't even be able to do that once they run out of money to resupply.

If you think public opinion is further souring on Iran during this conflict, then I don't think you quite have your thumb on the pulse. Trump is quite possibly the best PR guy the Islamic Republic could have asked for.

I'm not talking about public opinion. I'm talking about heads of state that actually understand the situation. China, for instance, has been getting pissy with Iran and pressuring them to come to the negotiating table.

Now they know a nuke isn't needed, they can hold the World hostage by closing the straight. Thanks Donald

There's also no sane reason to make a deal with an imbecile who lies about anything and everything and tore up the previous deal that you were abiding by.

Most wars end in negotiated settlements, they're always low trust environments. It's not as if the IRGC is saintly, that's often the nature of things.

Also the imbecile who has repeatedly attacked you *during negotiations and ceasefires.* Trump has already demonstrated that the US will not negotiate in good faith.

Yet the stock market is ATH and the economy is as good as it can be.

The stock market and the economy are two different things.

At this point China should also block the strait, until USA and Iran open it.

The two sides couldn't be further apart in their proposals. This war will last for at least 3 more months (best case scenario).

Yay Doha deal 2.O. pay them millions just like they do with the Taliban. Hard earned American tax dollars straight to Extremists. What could possibly go wrong!

Trumps envoys were never invited in the first place. This was a meeting between Iran and Pakistan and the Trump thought he could crash the party but no one wanted him there

Trump just said Iran sent him a new offer that was better than the old one, but won't say what it is or if he'll accept it. Do people actually believe this stuff?

I just hope Americans attention span is a little longer by the time this administration leaves and we find out all the crooked shit that they have been doing for years
