Bro is really out here speedrunning alienating our day-one allies. Make it make sense.
411
buck70 Mar 27, 2026 +242
... Make it make sense. He is Putin's tool and everything he does is either to enrich himself and his family or to advantage Russia by weakening the US and NATO.
242
HellBlazer1221 Mar 27, 2026 +103
People act like he is stupid, but if you look at the actions closely, most of the stuff has been carefully executed to benefit Russia.
103
Little-Carpenter4443 Mar 27, 2026 +59
yes look closely- Russia is now allowed to sell oil and has made more money than it has in years, increased its attacks on Ukraine and is helping Iran directly while Iran is in a war with the US that was started so Isreal can take more land. People have to be blind deaf and dumb to not see this.

Ghostdog1263 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Yes but everyone has to realize it's super simple with trump he's an an idiot. All you need is money & praise. There it's that simple . Don had made a ton of cash & has also owed a ton of it out to Russian banks. He also had alot of his building rooms bought out by Russian oligarchs before. All Trump sees is how do I make myself better then daddy
1
badpuffthaikitty Mar 27, 2026 +17
England? They don’t know how to build a navy. Their aircraft are stupid! They need a ramp to get their aircraft into the air! Now Russia knows how to build an aircraft carrier. Friends tell me Sir, the Russian Navy is perfect. Maybe we should buy Russian ships if NATO won’t support the greatest country in the world, the USA.
17
Comfortable_Cash_140 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Do you think he cares about his family other than laundering wealth and prestige through them?
1
doug4130 Mar 27, 2026 +33
Americans elected a fat pedophile f*** who only cares about gorging on wealth, hatred and the f****** of children to represent them on the global stage, and he does whatever he wants because he has powerful people backing him and nobody is holding him accountable because they think playing by the rules will get them somewhere  There's not much more to it than that. He'll continue to do so until he's dead.
33
Large-Unit6796 Mar 27, 2026 +49
Maybe one day, your country can be invaded so Americans can get a taste of their own shit.

I mean all empires fall...so it's more of a when not if.
26
asdhjasdhlkjashdhgf Mar 27, 2026 +13
actually they don't fall, they rather split and then get slowly chewed away. But imperators certainly fall.
13
Synthetic_Kalkite Mar 27, 2026 +11
I don’t think the US will ever be invaded. Who would be doing the invading? It’s million times more likely that we’ll instead just see the union disintegrating, whereby the US as we know it ceases to exist.
11
Dingcock Mar 27, 2026 +8
That's true right now, but Chinas economy grows far faster than the US. If that trend continues they will outgrow the US. In my own lifetime I've watched the US lose a lot of ground to China. In not inconceivable that given another lifetime or so of time China could outgrow the US and become the dominant world power. I agree the breakup of the union is far more likely than a Chinese invasion, but if current trends continue an invasion in 30 or 40 years is definitely possible.
8
great_whitehope Mar 27, 2026
China has a huge demographic crisis because of the one child policy. Robots and AI will only get them so far.
0
Dingcock Mar 28, 2026 +2
The west has a huge demographic crisis. The west is only ahead on Robots and AI for so long - already falling behind in some areas
2
Lucky-Elk-1234 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Russia has always known this, that’s why they are causing the US to just tear itself apart from the inside out. Much easier and more effective.
1
Filthyquak Mar 27, 2026 -6
Unlikely. US invasion is near impossible for many reasons. Besides that there's just no reason for anyone to do so.

Funny idea but why promote AI slop channels with fake cosplaying AI author posting obvious AI replies to everyone? We need to promote real people that have to pay artist, actors, and services to make content and keep people employed.

TheMagicTorch Mar 28, 2026 +1
He's used to negotiating with businessmen who have extremely sensitive egos like his own, where childish insults really hurt and can influence their decision-making. Obviously, this doesn't really work with most national leaders, but he doesn't know any other way to negotiate.

Seriously wtf. If someone was to talk like this tool to me in real life, I would just walk away from them. Why do countries still entertain this shit. Even mildly tolerating him just emboldens more disrespect.

They're biding their time to slowly drop the dollar, build up their militaries, and make deals with China
23

I mean that's basically what's happening. This is the geopolitical version of being walked away from in mid sentence.
10
scuzzy987 Mar 27, 2026 +8
Bully then after making all countries mad blame them for not participating and use that as a pretext to split up NATO. Receiving help would spoil the narrative so he has to sabotage any offers of help by bullying more

I mean...at least our sailors aren't deliberately setting our carriers on fire so they can go home after nearly a year at sea.
60
hplcr Mar 27, 2026 +14
Random Sailor: So I heard if you close this particular valve you can break shit and require extensive repairs. I wonder if it's true? 1MC: Our deployment has been extended to 18 months. Sailor: One way to find out.

NATO will remember. Americans wanna be on their own? Fine.
28
Basic_Ask8109 Mar 27, 2026 +4
Exactly.   Threatening allies, starting trade wars then starting an actual war  doesn't speak well for the stability of the US.  As powerful as they are they are alienating allies to such a degree it wasn't something I thought was possible ten years ago.

To be fair, we only have two aircraft carriers, one of which is operational. We have only 1 active hunter killer sub of 5 and two operational destroyers out of 6.

I hate to say it but every country and everybody needs to reject the United States. Don’t buy their things, don’t travel there, disassociate and disconnect anyway possible.
23
Bishopjones2112 Mar 27, 2026 +27
This waste of oxygen doesn’t understand warfare. While the United States approaches warfare through mass numbers and size, whether its bombs or ships or number of troops on the ground it doesn’t matter. This was their contribution to WW2 and they believed it was them that won this way. The same mentality was used in Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan and here. The problem is that asymmetric warfare doesn’t respond the same way to this, perfect example was Vietnam or more recently in Afghanistan. Having a smaller aircraft carrier which is less costly and more agile in its ability to support asymmetric warfare is more important than spending your entire defence budget on one ship which requires a massive support system from protection to supply for the vast number of sailors and aviators. The future of warfare is moving to an asymmetric, and cheaper model like the porcupine strategies currently used through Ukraine and Taiwan. A Shahed style drone only cost something around 30-40k but a Patriot missile cost between 4-7 million each. The UK is strong and valuable ally to NATO and in my opinion always welcome with the strength they bring.
27
jimicus Mar 27, 2026 +18

> But ‘we’ll send our aircraft carrier when the war is over’. I said: ‘Oh that’s wonderful, thank you very much. Don’t bother. We don’t need it.’ It's almost as ridiculous as US offering their security guarantees to Ukraine after the war is over in exchange for giving up parts of Ukraine's territory to Russia. "Don't bother."

Yep. Those Americans, and those who could vote but chose not to, have a lot to answer for.
1
coastalwebdev Mar 28, 2026 +1
It’s worth mentioning that this was even more Americans than voted him in for his first term. So his first term actually resulted in him gaining support and solidifying his base. Not this term though, he’s been working hard to get rid of all but his most faithful zealots. Which is what people in power do when they’re planning something very big and something where only the most blindly obedient fools would go when you point them there. It doesn’t exactly bode well considering how far he’s already gone.

Do their “toys” have plumbing systems backed up so bad, literal sewage overflowing in living spaces, no laundry available, that they’ve had to be recalled to port, I believe *several* times, to attempt to fix? Because that is what the US’s latest, most “advanced” carrier, the Ford, is having problems with. Modeled their plumbing after cruise ships, I believe?
9
Frothar Mar 27, 2026 +8
The sewage system was prone to blocking but the real issue seems to be sailors sabotaging it on purpose to end their very extended deployment
8
Automata-Omnia Mar 27, 2026 +1
Not quite as bad, but QE class have issues with undersized water heaters for showers meaning more that 1/3rd of the crew can't shower and faulty propellor couplings, taking 4 months in port to fix.

Any nation with a nuclear torpedo can wipe out a whole carrier group at will! Doesn’t matter if Uk USA or CCP or Megladon!

Just because he's been told he's not allowed to play with them for his farce of a war

At least we win our '2 week military exercise' first time and didn't expose all the oil infrastructure at the same time

If he keeps going this way he’s going to get his ass kicked in the midterms and then we may be able to get rid of his disgusting racist ass. I hope our allies can hang in there as we try to course correct from kakistocracy

It's just weird so weird. The UK was still considered one of America's closest allies even after he levied tariffs because the politicians keep saying they "have the best tariff rates" (get beaten the least) and that Starmer is known as the "Trump whisperer" Even after Trump said their troops hid on the backlines you have British politicians like the conservative in this video defending Trump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkQV57duWOU

Really helps to insult allies when trying to make a trade deal.

They're not as effective as the American carriers, we don't have any e***** ships for them, they don't have enough planes (and we shouldnt be using AMerican planes on them) and we made some baffling decisions during the design stage, but i'm glad we aren't joining the war on Iran

I mean compared to a US carrier sure… but shitting in our allies solves nothing

FauxReal Mar 27, 2026
To be fair, one Enterprise class carrier dwarfs the force projection of the rest of the world's carriers put together (or at least did 10 years ago). How that plays out in a modern warfare scenario? I have no idea.

To be honest, non CATOBAR carrier ARE toys. Comes from simple fact that the effective payload planes can carry for missions is just so much smaller due to the weight constraints at take off (and F35 burns so much fuel for vertical take off…) So he is an a******, but I also dont get the idea to spend money in 2 non CATOBAR carriers. Waste of money
