Wow, somebody bout to get fired at wapo for criticizing that fat orange f*** in the most harmless way… All of those who remain at wapo deserve to be replaced by AI.

Washington DC physically manifesting the cesspool it has become seems right to me. I hope it’s wrapped in c**** gold foil so our politicians can inhabit the fake splendor they’ve created for this country

Jfk is the one responsible and approving the hideous brutalist buildings in DC. He was all for concrete brutalism and happy to see older buildings torn down and replaced. Kennedy planned to do much more to DC in this style but was cut short. The Kennedy Center itself has horrible exterior. But The Hud building, J. Edgar Hoover building, James Forrestal, are all monotonous, souless slabs of concrete. I dont know why this article does not delve into.

Don't care about the expense. Don't care about whether a ballroom or whatever has practical value. Restored to how it was or replaced with something else new I don't care, all this shit needs to be torn up root-and-branch, completely demolished. This is what needs to happen for posterity.

Second biggest. The USSR could have nuked the place during the Cold War.

Trump just simply doesn’t care about the history or aesthetics of the capital.

Neither did JFK. He’s the one who began the Brutalization of DC in early 60’s.

A tangent, but I sometimes wonder what JFK would've accomplished had he not been assassinated.
