Looking forward to the next 10 day extension after this post

Fortunately, he didn't specify a deadline in his message, just said "shortly", which can be 2 days or 2 months I guess.

How long we been waiting for Infrastructure week and his healthcare plan now?

About "2 weeks".

I'm still waiting for the solution to the Ukraine invasion which he said would happen within 24 hours. It'll be perfect, I'm sure.

Just long enough for the markets to rubber band and him and his buddies to make a few mil on them.
14

It means two weeks which is in line with the timeline of everything else.
3

Nah. Invasion starts after markets close Thursday and they'll have 3 days to get to a point they can say they've won before the markets open on Monday.

And his 15 piece plan is now in 150 pieces... Which is impressive because it started as "Get oil and be hero"

Attacking civilian structures on purpose is called a war crime.

RudyGreene Mar 30, 2026 +125
"Fun" fact: Protocol II of the 1977 Geneva Convention (forbidding military destruction of civilian resources) was ratified by 169 countries, but notably rejected by the United States, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Israel. Interesting company we keep. 👀

According to him. Its not a war - is a military operation. “Can’t commit a war crime if its not a war.” Donald J. Trump.

Ddin't Carney more or less make the point in his well-received speech? The rules of the supposed rules based world order don't apply when you have military or economic clout... nobody has the means or will to effectively enforce the rules.
35
live-the-future Mar 30, 2026 +9
The Trump admin is 100% of the "might makes right" mentality. Anyone or anything else is weak and deserves to be bullied. Diplomacy is just a tool to deliver your demands and statesmanship is just a quaint notion from the past.
9
lluewhyn Mar 30, 2026 +4
This is the gist of it right here beyond any other philosophy. At the beginning of his first term, he was incredulous that we weren't using nukes more. It all stems from the attitude of "We have the power. We should \*make\* people do what we want. Anything else is being soft."
4
Iorith Mar 30, 2026 +3
Laws only truly matter when they can be enforced.
3

The threat itself should be a war crime

Tehran was under a cloud of petroleum, it rained acid and a school was bombed. This was never about Iran’s population. It was about Isreal dragging the U.S. in a war where it does the heavy lifting. Watch as the U.S. attempts to ramp down, Isreal will ramp up. The U.S. is locked in this.
275
mohjack Mar 30, 2026 +129
Notice how there hasnt been a peep out of Israel regarding ceasefires or negotiations.  Trump said he wasn't aware of the plan to attack the oil tanks and Israel immediately said he was. Theyll close every off ramp if they can. There's nothing Bibi would like more than having the USA Afghanistaning its way through Iran for the next 20 years.
129
bittersterling Mar 30, 2026 +11
Israel did speak up though. They continued to bomb critical infrastructure while trump was “negotiating” with very important, top level people.
11
AnAncientBog Mar 30, 2026 +63
Exactly. Israel will escalate every attempt to end the war. This doesn't end until the US enforces a ceasefire with Israel, and that's never going to happen.
63
Wurm42 Mar 30, 2026 +26
At least not while Netanyahu and his Likud party control the Israeli government.
26
Accurate_Neat_355 Mar 30, 2026 +10
The "centrist" Yesh Atid party in Israel is also pro war with Iran.
10
LoneSnark Mar 30, 2026 +10
With the US dragged into it, they should be. Literally no downside for Israel here.
10
Accurate_Neat_355 Mar 30, 2026 +5
Just want people to be aware that while the Likud party is ass, this isn't a "Likud War". Theres no meaningful opposition party in Israel opposed to this war. Its not a great situation..
5
Xeynon Mar 30, 2026 +7
Israel is rapidly burning through the remaining goodwill it has among the US population.
7
ShipTheRiver Mar 30, 2026 +3
There actually has been a peep, Israel has stated a couple of times that they don’t believe a deal is possible.  If/when a real peace talk breaks out, israel will definitely be last to the table. F*** them.  The single good thing to come out of this shitshow will be that Israel will have absolutely slaughtered whatever goodwill it had among US voters, especially  younger ones who will be in control in the next couple of decades. Average Americans are finally starting to actively dislike Israel, as they shouldve for ages now. Maybe next time we have a mayoral race in NYC, one of the debate questions won’t be “how fast would you go travel to Israel if elected”.
3
epanek Mar 30, 2026 +6
Trump has no other cards. Every day is a new day and yesterday is gone forever. Tomorrow is just a tool. He lacks any curiosity. All he knows is emotion like a toddler. Trump knows literally nothing about anything and hes never been held accountable for that. Now Iran is holding him to task, I hope.
6
IntelArtiGen Mar 30, 2026 +15
I hope this part was already clear after the 1st day. But it's also hard to know what they think because of the total censorship there. The sad part is I dont know how these people can be helped if they stay in Iran (which is probably why there are so many iranian refugees in the world), the war didn't end the crackdown on political opponents and it'll surely continue after it.
15
20051oce Mar 30, 2026 +4
\> But it's also hard to know what they think because of the total censorship there. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026\_Iran\_massacres](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iran_massacres) The window for regime change was over in the near future that's organic (Iranians currently residing in Iran). Even if they don't like the regime, they sure as hell won't signal it, let alone take to the streets, its literally asking to be killed
4
thatistwatIsaid Mar 30, 2026 +10
I’m pretty sure the Iranian citizens didn’t vote for the orange Pedo to invade their country and threaten them. Just a guess.
10
IntelArtiGen Mar 30, 2026 +5
Some of them were [very happy with parts of how it started](https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/28/world/middleeast/iran-khameni-celebrations.html) (obviously not everything), but it might not end the way they would want it to. Some of them chanted "Death to Khamenei" for years, because they're fighting a government which killed or jailed thousands of them, their friends and families; and it would be wrong to think none of them wanted this to happen. Yet I totally understand the "how it's done" also matters. But our opinion on this absolutely doesn't matter compared to the opinion of iranians, and all iranians. Even if I don't like the current authorities we can't ignore it's also seemingly supported by millions of people, but these ones have a voice with the iranian TV propaganda, iranian opponents don't have a voice. What I heard, from people who have their family in Iran, is that they're obviously very scared. Because this war didnt solve this repression problem, and the last time they took the streets to protest they got shot at. Clearly Trump doesn't care about them, and it's very complicated to know what they want and what we can do for them. The war must stop, and then what? "Problem solved with Iran, now let's talk about Cuba".

Strictly speaking, the sinking of civilian Venezuelan drug boats by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard was already a war crime. The U.S. specifically defined drugs as chemical weapons and smuggling as "terrorism" in order to be able to use warships against small motorboats. At the very least, however, the targeted killings were disproportionate, since the smugglers could have been arrested at any time

ExRays Mar 30, 2026 +11
The US doesn’t predominantly consume the oil it produces. US refineries are equipped to consume heavy crude oil from decades of relying on imports from the Middle East and Canada. Meanwhile our production primarily outputs light crude oil, which demands different infrastructure for refining. Also the GCC countries massively contribute to setting the value of the dollar through the petrodollar. A collapse of the GCC economy due to critical infrastructure being hit in this war, more than it already is, would be an absolute cluster f*** for the US economy.
11
EndOfDecadence Mar 30, 2026 +9
Besides the differences between heavy and light crude, there is huge production of petroleum products in the Gulf that isn't easily replaced. I mean, the shock that will follow from the ethane and naphtha already missing in the system.... I think not a lot of people realize the shit we are already in.

Trump bit off more than he can chew. Iran is not near surrender and now all Trump can do is huff and puff and threaten to blow down their house. I’m no supporter of Iran but it’s hysterical to see Trump getting the respect he deserves - none. The bad part is he’s going to kill a bunch of American sailors, soldiers and marines just because he’s a vile human who shouldn’t be allowed the reins of power.

Ok_Machine_724 Mar 30, 2026 +49
Lmao I got blasted by spineless Americans for suggesting they mount a revolution. Instantly they say it's impossible due to a host of excuses, and they call upon the rest of the world to do shit. The Iranians make the Americans look like pussies. So afraid of bloodshed, so afraid of reprisal, yet they call on other countries to take back their freedom. Hypocrites and cowards of the highest order

The Iranian people are already disappointed in Trump. Early news said that many hailed him when he killed their leadership, but then the people turned against Trump when he started destroying power infrastructure and civilian buildings. That's definitely not how you make friends. He's just a bumbling fool with no plan at all. He keeps thinking his dumb "art of the deal", where he threatens people and they back down, will work here.
10
Johannes_P Mar 30, 2026 +7
> but then the people turned against Trump when he started destroying power infrastructure and civilian buildings. That's definitely not how you make friends. He even bombed the universities, the places where most of the opponents study. So the regime hates Trump because they get bombed each time he starts "negociations" while the population starts to hate him because he's destroying their schools, hospitals, power plants, oil facilities and historical landmarks. Seems like he united Iran against him.

I’m sure those threats will come to fruition in 48 hours from now. Wait, no… now. …Well, it was just the weekend, so maybe from like, tomorrow. …But that could be seen as an April Fool’s eve joke, so better give it a couple more days. …But we don’t want it too close to Easter, so maybe we start the 48 hours next week? …You know what, we’ll just play it by ear. But know that our threats are definitely, totally real, and we are really, really strong.

Military operations have goals and objectives. There are none of those here and one threat after another coming from Trump against Iran which is closely allied with Russia and China. Congress is refusing to stand up and in to prevent this from happening and there will be terrible long term consequences because of it.

At this point if Iran assassinated a certain orange f****** piece of shit i think the world would treat them like a dad who just found out their kid got suspended for punching their bully.

Just saying doing all the above would make Putin look less of a war criminal than US/Trump. If he actually does this, this would be the end of any respect for the US and put us firmly in same league as Russia in terms of war crimes. It will be very hard for EU to remain allies with us after spending 5 years going over how Russians are war criminals and now US would be the same. Would be a tough pill to swallow for ‘idealistic’ EU populace. Now it will also be hard to justify paying x5 the price for ‘freedom and democratic’ oil and gas from the US compared to ‘evil dictator gas’ from Russia.

WarLorax Mar 30, 2026 +22
>end of respect for the US That ended when you elected him a second time, and died past necromancy when all your vaunted checks and balances evaporated over the past year.

thedld Mar 30, 2026 +19
Hey, I’m genuinely not trying to be mean or a smartass here, but our (EU) respect for the US formally entered the history books on the day when Trump was elected for his first term. I understand that you held onto the idea that it was a fluke, but we have distance, and it makes things clearer. Our leaders may be lagging behind a little, but that’s it. Now, I really feel for all Americans like you, and I know you are probably an absolute majority. I also know what happened to you can happen to me. Be strong, be safe, and speak up!

Ijustreddit92 Mar 30, 2026 +9
He is basically like Putin at this point, making endless threats. Seems like he can't even remember what he has and hasn't threatened.

Odd-Historian-6536 Mar 30, 2026 +3
Yup. Burn up all your rare earth armaments on your f\*\*\* up. Definitely lots of fore sight here.

ankh87 Mar 30, 2026 +3
But I thought Trump said that peace talks are going really good?
3
FuguSandwich Mar 30, 2026 +3
Even using the term "ceasefire" seems Orwellian. No one was firing on anyone a month ago when the US and Israel decided to attack Iran. It's like the stories coming out now saying the "primary objective of the operation is to open the Strait of Hormuz", it f****** WAS open until you idiots started this ridiculous war and caused it to be closed. Trump's entire MO is causing a problem and then (mostly) putting it back the way it was and claiming massive success. Except in this case it's getting harder and harder to see how anything can be "put back".

LoveDemNipples Mar 30, 2026 +3
Yeah this’ll work
3
Avlin_Starfall Mar 30, 2026 +3
So he will be arrested immediately for threatening a war crime right?... right?
3
cosmos_jm Mar 30, 2026 +3
Trump's only play is to endlessly escalate. No strategy, no tact, no brain.
3
Big_lt Mar 30, 2026 +3
I really wish a reporter asked the press secretary. Trump has said if no agreement is made with Iran he will direct the military to attack civilian infrastructure. This is a war crime, the president just announced that he is threatening war crimes. Can the white house please explain this
3
Sialala Mar 30, 2026 +3
Wait, aren't we still on a 10 day ceasefire that trump announced and that was broken the day after by Israel?
3
Guerillasmurf Mar 30, 2026 +3
We attack You and if You don't stop resisting we are going to attack you even more. Spoken like a true rapist.
3
Xspud_316 Mar 30, 2026 +3
When will he realise that Iran don’t give a f***. They literally executed nearly 40’000 of their own citizens because they protested, so I doubt they give a shit about what Trumps gonna do.
3
Fortestingporpoises Mar 30, 2026 +4
We’re attacking Iran because they kill their civilians! If Iran doesn’t cave to our demands we will kill their people!

So war crimes. He's threatening war crimes.

I don’t think we’ve ever put in so much effort to telegraph our dedication to committing war crimes

mcbeardsauce Mar 30, 2026 +3
The U.S. and Israel have finally unveiled its primary objective in the war with Iran. It is to once again open the Straight of Hormuz providing the world with much needed oil to help sustain itself and avoiding a catastrophic scenario with a crumbling global economy ever since its closure. Coincidentally the Straight of Hormuz was open and fully operational prior to the U.S. and Israel engaging in initial attacks on Iran which started said war.
3
addctd2badideas Mar 30, 2026 +3
Yeah because all the other threats worked so well.
3
ShiftyActuall Mar 30, 2026 +4
So I guess the people aren’t rising up? Who would have ever guessed, that bombing a school filled with their children would turn them against you. Stupid f****** Yankees.

I remember asking a South Korean colleague his thoughts on Kim Jong Un. He just said “he’s a psychopath” and not much more. I feel the same about Donald Trump.

millerlit Mar 30, 2026 +3
Trump is doing everything to help Israel and Russia.  It also takes spot light off of the Epstein files.
3
pumpkinspicecum Mar 30, 2026 +3
This is what happens when you elect a weak leader like Trump. He can’t accomplish anything, just threats that people don’t even take seriously
3
Fer4yn Mar 30, 2026 +5
Terrorstate US not even trying to pretend to act in a humanitarian manner anymore. Tough times ahead...

If it were any other country my own country and many others would cry about war crimes
2
HarEr89 Mar 30, 2026 +2
But he also says that there could be a deal soon. Because it's Monday. Just like last Monday. He will say the same next week. And the week after 😂
2
TheUpsideDownWorlds Mar 30, 2026 +2
There was inner dissent of the regime. Trump is such a megalomaniac, he can’t realize they can additional hate America too. I’ve never seen something handled so diametrically opposite to what should be done.
2
Corodix Mar 30, 2026 +2
So he's threatening that he's going to commit some war crimes? Should have expected no less from a criminal.

American incompetence knows no limits and why would it, when helmed by a diaper shitting big baby with skin so thin he throws a tantrum when a mean talk show host makes dun of him. 😑
2

It is extremely stupid if he thinks this would work. Does he think the Iranian government cares about the wellbeing of their citizens?

Threatening desalination plants in the middle east is like saying you are going to blow up three gorges dam. It isn't technically nuking a country but it is basically just as bad. Iran will respond by blowing up the plants of us allies in the region. They will probably join the war as a result but every country with its plants destroy will be at threat of collapse in months. The region doesn't have the water resources to support its modern population without them.

I love how the US can openly admit to planning to commit war crimes and the west just shrugs it off as another monday.
2
_Antinatalism_ Mar 30, 2026 +2
Talks and threats dont work at the same time, on one side it(orange pedo) said talks are productive and on other side it threatens to destroy energy infra and desalination plants and to steal oil if a deal is not made and strait of hormuz is not opened.

there are generals that worked with him in his first term that said both they had to beg him not to start a war and and said that he should never be in power again.
3
WCland Mar 30, 2026 +2
Does Trump realize a ceasefire means we and the Israelis also have to stop bombing? If we unilaterally stopped bombing, the Iranians would probably stop as well.
2
sscott2378 Mar 30, 2026 +2
These grand statements and announcements and long “Truth” posts never come out of his mouth in person. He’s not running this country or making any of these statements. He’s sleeping, eating, watching Fox News or golfing. The guys behind the curtain are running things and we are all in trouble due to no accountability
2
Turbulent-Tone-1867 Mar 30, 2026 +3
Remember when Trump was “furious” about Iran shooting protestors, and now he wants to collectively punish the same people he was “saving”?
3

Iranian leadership can now credibly blame hardships on America and Israel.

2

What is the strategy behind threatening civilian infrastructure? I don’t think the regime cares as much about civilian infrastructure as it does other infrastructure.
2

I thought he was a supporter of the Iranian people? Taking away their drinking water is a pretty rotten way to show it.
2

How is it not a war when he’s talking about committing war crimes?
2
Knightmare1688 Mar 31, 2026 +2
Honestly if we were as superior as Trump thinks then it'd be Iran asking us for a ceasfire instead of him roundabout way asking them to stop.
