Keeping the seat warm and safe until yet another republican takes it to continue building on the previous republican's work. Unless, average Americans get their shit together, unite in solidarity, organize and paralyze the country with a general strike until the elites fix the real underlying disease: e.g. excessive economic inequality, Big Money in politics and government, excessive consolidation of companies (i.e. oligopolies and cartels), etc.

Well, Russia fantasises about nuking us about once a week. Trump never criticises Russia with anything more than token comments. And he repeats Russian talking points.   So yeah, we can expect nuke threats from the "leader of the free world."

Yeah, one of the 2 carriers was just put on 5 days notice to be ready to sail or something along those lines. A carrier is far less vulnerable to a ballistic missile than a stationary airbase so it’s purely posturing and telling Iran not to be dumb enough to begin seriously targeting Akrotiri and force us to actively intervene… because we don’t want to, but will be in a position to even if they put that base out of action for a long time. God just typing this message makes this whole mess even dumber. Has there ever been a more poorly thought out and needless war in the last 40 years than what we are seeing here? It’s incredibly rushed, but wasn’t so rushed to make use of the protests and people willing to fight and die in the country. Now a lot of those people who the US are bombing Iran for are dead or in prison. And a lot more just aren’t even in the country… Trump was so insane it was kind of funny for a few months, even as tariffs were being slapped about left right and centre, I couldn’t help but laugh at the madness of it and the people supporting it… now it’s just exhausting and we’re not even a third of the way through this mess.

Half of the voting population at least, and a subset of them are checked out and vote by cultural affiliation.
