We had a deal in 2015 and now thanks to Trump being an idiot there is no deal on nuclear, a stalemate war with Iran, the world economy being held hostage, and America having shown its cards in the military game to be a weak hand, to China.

Iranians know that he won’t send an invasion force into the country. They have no real reason to deal with him.

Way too early to say Iran won anything, war can and often is negative-sum.

That deal empowered the murderous regime more and made them wealthier. It made things worse for the people. I don’t necessarily think Trump is doing a good job but honestly f*** the regime. I hope they lose all their money and get eaten alive by their own soldiers who won’t get paid once the regime’s money dries up.

They’ll say “look what they do to their people” yet disregard what their own government does.

lol the US has done a ton of shit to its people but it’s not even comparable to what the regime has done to his own citizens in the last 47 years. Be real bro.

19/19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, the USA installed a dictator in Iran 50 years ago or so in the bidding of Israel, that didn’t work. Don’t believe the hype, we are the baddies here… bro.

Well look at what the regime did to its people in just the last few months. Then imagine what it’s done in 47 years prior.

Throw in a "World's largest Peace Prize" medallion (framed of course) and you've got a deal.

I bet the Iranians weren't happy with the USA deciding to bomb them during negotiations. Twice.

This would be a good analogy if these talks were “the water”. They’re not. The Iranian politicians JD Vance and co are talking with have no authority or influence anymore. They’re playing pretend and trying to seem like they’re important while they buy time for the IRGC to reconstitute. The ayatollah is wounded severely. General Vahidi is the only one in charge right now, and he’s a true believer-he has no interest whatsoever in peace (or logic/self preservation). He just wants revenge. He grew up in Quds Force and is a Kool-aid drinker.

I am italian. Considering the war is driving my country into an energetic and economic crisis (plus likely food shortages thanks to the lack of fertilizer), i would try to reopen the strait as soon as possible.

It would sure be something if the rest of the world sent their fleets to open the strait against the US blockade.

Why would we want to do this? Besides Trump insulting us for months, we would just get involved in a war we have no interest in
2

How would you do that. I just explained how negotiations are going to be fruitless and that the IRGC is just buying time to reconstitute its forces.

If there isnt an election the whole house of cards comes down. Congress's current session ends in January of 2027, there is not a process to extend their current terms. What about local & state govt? People constantly say this c*** but there's 0 process to delay or suspend an election without the entire system collapsing.
