Just a reminder: The whistleblower complaint against Gabbard, that is supposedly so dangerous to national security that it is kept locked in a safe, has still not been shown to congress.

Putin isn't going to let congress read evidence that Tulsi is a Russian plant

paddy_yinzer Apr 2, 2026 +25
What percentage of Trumps advisors are Russian assets?

Acceptable-Bus-2017 Apr 2, 2026 +28
Yes

Exactly

From what I understand from Tulsi's interview, "intelligence reports" flow downhill from the top rather than flowing from her department up to the presidency which is just backward bonkers. Her entire job is to gather intelligence and report it to the presidency. Instead, she's getting reports from the president who gets his "intelligence" from anonymous Twitter trolls.

Actually the DNI coordinates between agencies and ensures that the CIA are talking to the NSA, are talking to the FBI, to DoD, etc. The position was created after 9/11 when information was silo'd and not shared inter agency. She doesn't collect information of her own. Also f*** her.

thyman3 Apr 2, 2026 +1
All the intelligence agencies, including the ones you mentioned, report directly to her. Saying she doesn’t collect intelligence is like saying the AG doesn’t prosecute cases. No, she’s not running around in the field with a spy camera, but she runs the whole apparatus.
1
WokeUpUnfortunately Apr 2, 2026 -1
And all those agencies also report directly to the president, so her position is superfluous. Like a pyramid with 2 peaks.

Can they not just replace trump instead and end this god damn freak show?
14
JaB675 Apr 2, 2026 +5
Or just replace this entire circus.

Noem, Bondi, Gabbard. Oh, the *women* are the reason he's so unpopular.  These assholes are getting exactly what they deserve. What will it take for women and minorities to realize they are the lowest rung on the Republican ladder?

Avoidtolls Apr 2, 2026 +23
Meanwhile, Kash Patel gets hacked and Hegseth gives war updates in burps.
23
makos5267 Apr 2, 2026 +3
In fairness Noem is messy, Bondi is hated by both republicans and democrats at this point I’m surprised she hasn’t already been fired, and Trump might not be sure if Tulsi is entirely loyal to him. Kash and Hegseth are yes men, even if they are idiots Edit: Bondi already gone lol

This is what I see too. The first scapegoats. The least valued members of the worst team.

News snippet: Donald Trump has privately asked cabinet officials in recent weeks whether he should replace his director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, venting frustration that she shielded a former deputy who undercut his rationale for war with Iran, according to two people briefed on the discussions. It is not clear that Trump will actually fire Gabbard over the episode. Currently, there is no standout candidate to take the job, and advisers have cautioned that creating a high-profile vacancy before a successor is ready could cause unhelpful political distractions. But Trump’s discussions marks an ominous development for Gabbard, given the president tends to poll his advisers when he starts to seriously consider whether a personnel change is necessary. The two people spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. Trump’s doubts about Gabbard followed her testimony at the world wide threats hearing on Capitol Hill last month where she declined to condemn Joe Kent, who had resigned days earlier after arguing that Iran did not pose an imminent threat to the United States, the people said. The nature of Kent’s departure and his criticism of the war had already angered Trump, but he expressed particular frustration about Gabbard seemingly defending Kent and appearing reluctant to defend the administration’s position to attack Iran, the people said.

Why does Trump need an intelligence advisor? He has no intelligence. He should apologize to the world, donate his fortune to the United States Treasury (the ENTIRE fortune), and admit to his many crimes. We need a reckoning, America. We need to FIX THIS.

Thin-Competition3018 Apr 2, 2026 +5
Why is it that the women in this cabinet are apparently the first to fall on the sword? Heggy, Lutnick and Kennedy have been just as damaging?

matthieuC Apr 2, 2026 +2
\> Why is it that the women in this cabinet are apparently the first to fall on the sword? They couldn't find a black person to fire

Thin-Competition3018 Apr 2, 2026 +1
He's got the little guy who is head of Hud, but I guess since "affordable housing" does not exist in trumpworld, he best not touch that.
1
matthieuC Apr 2, 2026 +1
He's probably safe because they don't remember this department exists.

Are you surprised? He's an 80 year old white rich guy. Misogyny is what keeps them alive.

The revolving door in this administration is spinning so fast it’s basically a wind turbine at this point. Imagine being hand-picked for a top-tier intel role only to have the boss "check the menu" for a replacement before you’ve even figured out where the office coffee machine is. It’s not a cabinet; it’s a reality show pilot where everyone is getting voted off the island in the first ten minutes. Loyalty in DC has the shelf life of an open carton of milk in July.
7
TheorySudden5996 Apr 2, 2026 +6
Trumps wildly unpopular and whenever this happens rather than hire the right team he selects people at random hoping they work out.
6
gringledoom Apr 2, 2026 +1
His problem is that there's hardly anyone who is even remotely qualified who wants to shackle themselves to this disaster. He's talked about firing Gabbard and Bondi and Leavitt, and they're all terrible, but any replacement is going to be both worse at the job \*and\* less able to protect his presidency. All the stress and strain that's making him consider firing these folks will just get worse and worse.
1
mvs2527 Apr 2, 2026 +3
It is a reality TV show. Trump picks people based on how they look on tv...when the look bad on tv he fires them.

This comment just made me realize that this admin is essentially *Traitors*.

Loyalty also means to back up your boss on public forums. No issue with opposing him privately, but at least when facing the public, the expectation is that the administration will present a united front. If she can't do that, especially as an intel chief during this whole iran thing, then she can expect to get replaced I guess. Loyalty is given before it can be recieved.

Few-Bass4238 Apr 2, 2026 +5
Maybe in a dictatorship. Bending to political pressure is a pretty big no no for intel organizations and it's how things like the Iraq invasion happened.
5
HyperNova1000 Apr 2, 2026 -2
Not really, some of trumps general's told him to delay the initial attack on iran, which he did. But they said it in closed meetings rather than in public, which is how disagreements within the administration are supposed to be resolved. Even JD vance was kinda iffy on the operation, but now that it started he is presenting a united front with trump.

Few-Bass4238 Apr 2, 2026 +3
Its like you didn't even listen to what I said. It is not the job of the intelligence community to fall in line. They merely present the reality of the world without telling anyone what to do. > Independent of political consideration: Analytic assessments must not be distorted by, nor shaped for, advocacy of a particular audience, agenda, or policy viewpoint. Analytic judgments must not be influenced by the force of preference for a particular policy. Intelligence Community Directive 203 as directed by the DNI
3
HyperNova1000 Apr 2, 2026 +1
They merely present the reality of the world literally not their job. They are supposed to give intelligence to the administration, not the public. Intelligence Community Directive 1, section D: >The DNI' s policies and directives seek to create an integrated and effective intelligence enterprise. The DNI's overarching goal is to ensure that the elements of the IC are working collaboratively to provide accurate, timely, and objective intelligence-- independent of political considerations-**to support the President** and all who make and implement US national security policy, defend our Nation, and enforce our laws.

You know what's even better than having a delusional, narcissistic idiot as president? Having a delusional, narcissistic idiot as president that turns over his entire cabinet of opportunistic, morally bankrupt yes people every single year. It's so healthy for a country!
3
clintgreasewoood Apr 2, 2026 +3
Firing all the women first. Noem, Tulsi and Bondi. Next will be the minority men, Rubio and Patel.
3
TheOtherUprising Apr 2, 2026 +2
After all the grifting Tulsi did to get into power it would be hilarious if she was fired barely over a year in.
2
spacegiantsrock Apr 2, 2026 +2
When you are on the Trump Train it's only a matter of time before you get thrown off the front.

If she gets fired, who's going to pass secrets to Russia?

Maybe it's time to clean out the junk drawer that he considers a cabinet.
3
dannyb_prodigy Apr 2, 2026 +3
I’ve seen it before. Executives are unhappy with things and think “shaking up” the org chart will solve their problems. They think that if they just get the right team, everything will work out. Interestingly, these “shake ups” always pre-suppose that they are part of the right team.

Big_Bookkeeper1678 Apr 2, 2026 +1
A lot of replacement talk happening. Is this about the time he started ousting people to deflect blame from himself last time? I thought he was supposed to be smart. He didn't learn from his first term at all.

Loyalty is always a one way street with Trump

Trump's trying to rearrange the deck chairs before the midterms - after which Senate approvals will be hard to come by.

But Tulsi scored highest on the cognitive test, sir!!!

Trump admin needs more intelligence yep

You mean he asked Putin for permission?

tree-molester Apr 2, 2026 +2
Here comes the wave of firings like those of his first term. It’s just taken longer this time around. It is becoming obvious that no matter how loyal and willing that these tRump ultra-sycophants are, it’s never enough to satisfy the insane narcissism of our wanna be emperor.

Looks like the chosen few from his binders of women are being shown the door. Now we just need to see that p**** Hegseth fired.
