Another masterclass move by the President. By putting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in airports, he’s flipping the entire narrative. Democrats refuse to fund Department of Homeland Security over ICE, and now those same agents are out there directly helping everyday Americans.
This does two things at once. It provides real, visible relief to travelers dealing with long lines and shutdown chaos, and it exposes how dishonest the attacks on ICE have been. These are not the villains they’ve been made out to be. They’re serving the public, handing out water, helping people hold their place, doing basic but meaningful things to make a frustrating situation easier.
It’s smart politically and practical at the same time.
