So markets doing swell but trumps job numbers are negative and everyone’s laying everyone off but the market being good means all those companies are doing great not to mention the millions of immigrants we ejected who were also doing jobs so… where are the jobs? Why is everyone struggling to find work, especially work that can pay the bills? I feel like if your representation of the world is objectively wrong on just a cursory glance you should probably consider that it’s possibly wrong.

That’s what happens when you keep a bloackade in place specifically for the nation you’re trying to get a peace deal from while letting everyone else pass through. A bloackade is military action, you can’t sign a peace deal *and still do military action* then expect it to hold, that’s literally not how peace deals work.

I'm pretty sure Iran has said that they'll close the strait if the blockade isn't lifted. So this might be a new record in terms of a deal being reached and then broken.

Are Chinese ships allowed in and out of the strait again? If so, the US just gave up their biggest bargaining chip against China. Trump could have asked China for concessions (like forcing Iran to accept a deal or removing China’s tariffs on US imports) in exchange for opening up the strait.

lol if the US intentionally kept blocking Chinese ships it wouldn’t be considered a bargaining chip, it would’ve been considered an escalation against China which even Trump doesn’t want a major fight with right now.
