So he could have done this at any time before now? Instead, he used travelers and TSA agents as pawns.

Flying after 9/11 was weird and a brand new TSA made it a huge pain in the ass. But planes weren’t crashing taking off and landing

I mean crashes on concourses and mid air.
1
AllaplgyMar 27, 2026
+1
The midair crash can't really be tied to him. It was just a tragedy borne of pilot error and longstanding issues with a dense traffic area.
The Air Canada crash can definitely be argued to be a consequence of his "leadership" though. And it will get worse.
He does enough horrible shit. No need to help him by making it look like we have to make stuff up/blame him for things that were (surprisingly enough) not his fault.
1
DistractedPhoenixMar 27, 2026

The midair collision can be blamed on Trump more than anyone else. Between firing all the heads of different aviation groups and froze hiring. His behavior after the incident would also indicate he was to blame.
1
AllaplgyMar 27, 2026
+1
No. No it can't. I hate him as much as anyone, his policy has made air travel more dangerous, and his reaction to that tragedy was abhorrent, but that was pilot error, just days into his term. There is no need to blame him for things outside of his control. There are more than enough horrible things he's actually been responsible for (like his reaction to that event).

But more of understaffed ATC.
