My city's cops have legit told us if ICE shows up and won't identify themselves to call them and refer to ICE as "unidentified masked men with guns surrounding my house." Then stay in your house and let the cops sort out if they have a judicial warrant. When even the cops are calling them that... Edit: If your cops aren't calling ICE out make sure they don't have a 287g agreement where the feds are paying them off. Not that plenty need it to side with ICE, but we really should get rid of any incentive.

Madison, WI. We've had low ICE presence so far, but I at least appreciate them going to community advocacy groups and engaging with the Latine community. Cops like rolling over to this sort of thing in general, but I'd look and see if yours have an agreement with the feds where the feds pay them. It's called 287g. We need to get rid of those agreements to have any change of local help against ICE thugs.

We have a shitty little small town clinic here in town run by a super MAGA shitty MD. The year before COVID, we had a terrible flu outbreak. Schools closed. Everyone got sick, including myself. I had a terrible ear infection and need antibiotics. Since the clinic was an urgent care and I felt too horrible to drive to town to my regular clinic, I went there. I generally avoided the place because the couple times I took my kid there, it sucked. They blasted Christian music so loud you had to raise your voice to talk over it. Fox type shit on the tvs. Culty weird literature in the lobby. The MD herself is a thoroughly unpleasant woman. But I figured shitty as that woman was, how bad could she f*** up a simple ear infection (Bad, as I found out lol. She told me antibiotics didn't work and refused to prescribe me anything. Told me to suck it up. I had to drive to the town clinic anyway) Everyone was masked when I got there, doctor included. There were signs saying you'd be asked to leave if you refused to wear a mask. She was a STICKLER for that mask too. Id pulled mine down in the exam room because my glasses were fogging up and she bit my head off about it when she came in. Lectured me on proper mask use and how they worked. Fast forward to the next year, when COVID was running rampant and I get sick. Go to the big clinic in town and guess who is treating me? Except now she's not wearing a mask and gets shitty with me because I am. Rolls her eyes and snidely says "you know those dont work, right?" It kind of blew my mind considering how she was the year prior. Although I shouldn't have been surprised. She then informed me that she diagnoses everything as the flu because you can't trust medical science anymore. She's a piece of work and it's hard to avoid her. She seems to rotate between all the clinics and urgent cares in the county.

They kept regurgitating the same bullshit misinformation, too. They said the masks didn’t stop you from getting covid, which is technically correct, but that wasn’t the intention. Masks reduce your chance of SPREADING it in the event you’re asymptomatic and not realize. Plus masks just create a healthier population in general. In their minds, masks are bad if they’re being used to make the population healthier, but good if they don’t want to be identified while breaking the law while wearing an ICE uniform.

I worked directly with covid patients at a hospital. We didn’t even have N95s at first. We also had to bring our surgical masks (not cloth) from home. We finally got N95s, in September 2020, but we got *one* and it had to last us a month. Covid was fucked.

Geez, all the idiots I had to hear claim they had a "medical exception" Fun fact... there are only three actual medical exceptions. 1) open wounds or burns on the face that a mask would interfere with 2) the person has no working hands or arms, so they would not be able to remove the mask if it got wet or started to choke them 3) the person has brain damage or such low intelligence they would not know to remove the mask if it got wet or started to choke them. I always assumed these people were number 3, because the other two are pretty obvious.

1000% this. ER visits and excess deaths (compared to pre-COVID) have not meaningfully decreased. Vaccine waning and high false negatives rates on tests when anyone actually bothers to test, the only real shift is milder acute infections but more long term damage (which is the scarier shit). We just did the whole ‘if we don’t count cases then we don’t have high cases’ bit and no one wanted to hear anymore about it. COVID cost corporations money, or would if enough people knew to care, and that’s the only reason anyone thinks it’s over.

If the average American doesn’t brush up on the power of peaceful protest, I’m afraid they’ll get them. I personally believe this is some of the reasons for the masks. Many of them have criminal records, weapons charges ( I assume warrants for all kinds of things- child support, DV...)(before joining ICE) and this was a way to keep them from being found so easily. Good luck to them now.

From a few posted photos I've seen this morning they haven't been masked up. Hell, they already detained a mom and her child leaving AFTER getting through security and they were unmasked. I'm sure most will stay masked like the f****** thin skinned little assholes they are but some have been spotted with no masks.
