I'm more concerned this is shifting the Overton Window to settle for less because this was an option. "Well, we can't get a public option but at least what's left of Medicare and Medicaid exist and isn't being plowed into the defense budget!"

Don’t threaten me with a good time. It’s about time the DOD pass an audit and justify why it needs all the money they got. All I see is a completely incompetent leadership running the show with what seems to be bafflingly limited resources given the amount of money we spend. The Navy can’t open the straight? Give me a break. What are we paying for all these fancy expensive weapons when some $50,000 drones take a couple $500,000+ missiles to shoot down? And to add insult to injury, we’re almost out of expensive missiles. Sounds like defense contractors need to do more with less and we can get some free daycare for citizens.

Business Insider reporter Bryan Metzge saved the video while it was still on the White House account. The White House later said the president was "referring to rooting out the billions of dollars of fraud in these vital programs."
