Remember when this guy raped children and your representatives did nothing about it?

'Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." — Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th US President.

Expect to hear that over 1000 times before the midterms.

So Dems are going to run on defunding the military and funding universal day care?

I'm more concerned this is shifting the Overton Window to settle for less because this was an option. "Well, we can't get a public option but at least what's left of Medicare and Medicaid exist and isn't being plowed into the defense budget!"

The public option has been dead for while.. The window shifted to "ACA subsides are the best we can do".. and we're about to move to yours.

F*** that. Universal Care, Universal Housing, Universal Income Nationalize SpaceX, Dissolve Palantir, Break Up Google I’m digging in on this for Reconstruction 2029 to keep the Overton window intact.

Don’t threaten me with a good time. It’s about time the DOD pass an audit and justify why it needs all the money they got. All I see is a completely incompetent leadership running the show with what seems to be bafflingly limited resources given the amount of money we spend. The Navy can’t open the straight? Give me a break. What are we paying for all these fancy expensive weapons when some $50,000 drones take a couple $500,000+ missiles to shoot down? And to add insult to injury, we’re almost out of expensive missiles. Sounds like defense contractors need to do more with less and we can get some free daycare for citizens.

From the article: President Donald Trump said "it’s not possible" for the U.S. to fund day care and Medicare programs because "we’re fighting wars" and "we have to take care of one thing: military protection." Trump made the remarks during a private Easter luncheon at the White House Wednesday. The event was closed to the press, but the White House inadvertently shared video of Trump’s speech on social media. The video was only up for a short time before the White House made it private. Business Insider reporter Bryan Metzge saved the video while it was still on the White House account. The White House later said the president was "referring to rooting out the billions of dollars of fraud in these vital programs."

Just stop the wars and take care of people at home. Problem solved.

No wars, and take care of all people, irrespective of where they live. That’s what jeebus would want.

Remeber when you got your paycheck and there's a payroll deduction for Medicare?

The republican base are mostly geezers on Medicare. It's their own damn fault for voting in a narcissist monster without any shred of empathy.
