**15 days ago:** During a prime-time address to the nation, Trump stated that the attacks on Iran which began in late February 2026 were **"getting very close"** to completing their mission. The magical 2 weeks is resetting, I guess

I'm going to need an AUTHORITATIVE source. Trump doesn't count. According to him this thing has been over a couple dozen times.

JD Vance who earlier presented our "best and final offer" is now offering a "grand bargain." Is that authoritative enough? >US vice president JD Vance, who led the first round of talks, said Iran was being offered a "grand bargain" to end the six-week war and address the decades-old dispute over Iran's nuclear programme.

They sound like they are selling washing machines. Best and final offer. Grand bargain. Will they throw in detergent?

Is that the same grand bargain that he got his couch at a d******* from?

It never started because it was never a War, remember? He will probably deny it ever happened and then move on to Cuba or Greenland.

They've started deploying around Cuba, on top of the blockade already in place. So if it's one of the two, it's Cuba or at least Cuba *first*.  I hate this entire timeline. Everything back to at least Nixon defeating Humphrey by a narrow margin, with a lot of arguments for going back even further.

Trump claimed on March 11 that we had won. That’s five weeks ago already. And he’s still sending more troops.

Someone please tell that dumb son of a b****, you started a fight and just because you're losing doesn't mean it over. FFS.

Economic historians are gonna have to study the second Trump presidency for its record-setting number of pumps and dumps, and just how much money his billionaire friends made with insider info during it. I think a key part of the project of the richest few of gaining a permanent choke-hold on global power during this presidency is funneling a critical mass of money to them in this way.

I'm pretty surprised Vance has kept his job.  He's had a bunch of very public failures, and he hasn't really been of any use to Trump.  Guy's an albatross.   He's only barely useful to Thiel.  He's of no use to Trump. I figure, at some point, somebody's gonna figure out he brings nothing to the table, and that'll be the end of that. From my perspective, I'm not even sure he's even useful as a stumbling block to Trump's agenda, because he doesn't really have responsibilities other than embarassing himself.

Why do you think Trump would want a capable or popular person as vice president? A nothing burger next to him is exactly what he wants: no competition for him!

cyclemonster 3 days ago +1
What do you mean "kept his job"? He was _elected_ to the position. There are zero ways under the law and the Constitution for a President to get rid of a Vice-President.

Wonder of the Iranians will give up what they offered to give up in February in exchange for lifting the primary sanctions and allow them to collect tolls. Well and of course allow US companies to help rebuild Iran’s infrastructure.

He is saying it's over, so markets go up. I then imagine that on Friday, he will nuke them or something after placing his bets and puts. nfa

Trump also said he'd stop the Ukraine war on day 1. Later explaining he said it just in jest. So no the Iran war is not close to being over, he's only joking.

>The US vice president said Tuesday that Trump had pledged to "make Iran thrive" Is anyone thriving in the US, outside a small circle of rich Trump supporters?

I'll believe him once he starts withdrawing troops. Until then, this is all market manipulation.

The bombing phase has paused and the blockade phase of the war has begun. So this is the FIFA Peace laureates version of a war ending and peace beginning?

F****** moron. You started this shit (well Israel made you start this shit) and gonna claim “victory” when in reality Iran will walk away with probably more off the table. Fart of the deal.

How did we get here?
