>President Donald Trump again attempted to exert control over American elections, signing an executive order Tuesday that aims to create federal lists of citizens and ask the United States Postal Service to only transmit mail ballots to people on those lists. >The order asks the Department of Homeland Security to create "state citizenship lists" from federal citizenship and naturalization records, Social Security records, and other federal databases. >Those lists would then be sent to the states to verify their voter rolls, and USPS, who would be asked only to transmit ballots addressed to people on state citizenship lists. It's unclear how the USPS, a chronically underfunded agency, would absorb the mandate to police election mail as required by the order. >Two key players in failed efforts to overturn the 2020 election that Trump lost — Kurt Olsen and Heather Honey — were involved in discussions around the executive order, according to a person familiar with the preparations. Olsen now works as director of election security and integrity at the White House, while Honey works in a senior role at the Department of Homeland Security.

Election meddling aside, this does not sound legal.
3232
KingMario05 Mar 31, 2026 +1863
It isn't legal. Hope the courts strike it down. Just like all his others.

And strike it down in a matter of days, not months.

SCOTUS will stay the appeal on the shadow docket and promise to hear the case by, say, 2029.

Chuck Schumer promised us that IF democracy ever came under attack, he'd be there to defend it. But until that day arrives (some time in the unknowable future), we NEED to do business as usual. We live in such a neat country. /s

That's just it. So many Democrats seem to think fascism holds an inauguration day and flys a different flag. No it just takes over the government you have. It pretends to be business as usual until it very much isnt

Ha jokes on you. I'm American and I haven't had faith in the justice system for like my entire life.  It's really a multi tiered thing. Laws for us plebs and law theater for the wealthy.  When a person kills another person, they go to jail for a long time.  When a company kills a person.... Eh. Maybe a payout over a settlement. Nothing to really cry home about.  When a politician's actions or laws kill a cool 1 million people... Literally nothing happens, oopsies daisies.

But then they wouldn't be able to say "oh well, too close to an election to change it now 🤷‍♂️"
9
CU_09 Mar 31, 2026 +95
I don’t think they even need to. An EO is a directive to agencies under the executive branch. Elections are run by the legislative branch…of the states.
95
shrimpcest Mar 31, 2026 +56
But the USPS is traditionally used for mail in ballots. Hence the concern.
56
Momik Apr 1, 2026 +19
True, but that role has never included deciding which people legally get a ballot or which ballots count. For USPS to assume that power would be completely illegal (not that he wouldn’t try it). F*****’s getting creative.
19
betty_white_bread Apr 1, 2026 +17
Postal workers are not exempt from state criminal statutes and such violations are incapable of being pardoned even by a president who tries to do so. It would go like this: > President: Governor of Blue State, I have pardoned Crimey McCrimeface for state crimes. > > Governor: That's nice; he is in our prisons and you don't run those. > > President: Let him out anyway. > > Governor: No, lol!
17
KingZarkon Apr 1, 2026 +19
It would work out about as well as that lady in Colorado in jail over the voting machines that Trump tried to pardon. Or I guess he did pardon her, the state just chose to ignore it, like they would this.
19
Bee_9965 Apr 1, 2026 +11
To be precise, she was convicted of state crimes that Trump has no power to pardon.
11
Gunsensual Apr 1, 2026 +11
They changed the rules around when mail is postmarked late last year. Now the USPS can hold mail for investigation and it's not officially counted as being mailed until they put it into a digital sorter, as the founders intended. After the election is over the mail will be released, the disenfranchised will have never been accused of a crime or receive notice that their ballots were late.
11
Atheist_3739 Mar 31, 2026 +38
I think they are trying to get around that by ordering the USPS, which is under the Executive Branch, to only deliver mail to voters in this list. If the courts don't strike it down, Trump will say "oh these states didn't provide a list so USPS you can't deliver any mail in ballots because their name isn't there"
38
Mediocre_Scott Apr 1, 2026 +7
Can the postal service just not deliver mail from certain people?
7
PhutuqKusi Apr 1, 2026 +30
No. The USPS is required by law to deliver all mail that the sender pays postage for. This is why your mail carrier cannot skip delivery of your junk mail, even if you ask real nicely. So, if the County Registrar of Voters sends you a ballot, the USPS must deliver it, even if the president issues an unconstitutional EO.
30
Atheist_3739 Apr 1, 2026 +33
SCOTUS ruled that they cannot be sued for intentionally not delivering mail..... https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-postal-service-missing-mail-7ce97a5b7d56373cdeaa6ecc9a9132f5

A suit and an arrest for election interference are different matters
11
Bee_9965 Apr 1, 2026 +4
But can they be arrested and held in contempt of court? Hope so if they try a stunt like this.
4
TinyGreenTurtles Apr 1, 2026 +10
And if the state automatically complies with his EO, like some (Nebraska) have complied with handing over voter information...
10
Mediocre_Scott Apr 1, 2026 +20
In a normal world a whitehouse counsel would say hey this is illegal and it would end there. But trump has learned he can reap the benefits while the courts decides and it will not hurt him. There needs to be real consequences to the president personally for signing actions that are found to be against the law.
20
Bee_9965 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Normally that would be impeachment. But we know how likely that is.

If we ever get out of this, the Heritage Foundation needs to be completely banned from DC and all of their members arrested for conspiracy to commit treason against the United States. And all of these illegal executive orders need to be repealed day one. This has gone on far enough.
154
Krewtan Apr 1, 2026 +44
It's nice to hear people say that but it's time for politicians to say it. We need serious consequences for the damage and corruption that has occured.
44
G-Unit11111 Apr 1, 2026 +9
Agreed! Putting this corrupt regime and the people who made it happen (Musk, Heritage, Murdoch, Jones, etc) in prison for life should be our biggest priority.
9
Bee_9965 Apr 1, 2026 +22
1. Ban Executive Orders altogether or only allow them to be enforced after judicial review. 2. Ban Presidential pardons. Too much potential for abuse.
22
KareemOWheat Mar 31, 2026 +81
Can't wait for the courts to strike it down as illegal next February after he's already rat fucked the election
81
jfudge Apr 1, 2026 +21
It's also logistically useless, *even if* there was a legitimate reason for compiling it (which there isn't). Who the f*** is ever going to create a workable list of like 200 million people? Is that database going to be updated when people turn 18 and/or otherwise register to vote? Will it be updated when people die? *Of course it won't*. This list won't be able to fulfill the core purpose it is claimed to be created for. Obviously that claimed purpose is bullshit, but here we are.
21
POEness Apr 1, 2026 +9
The whole point is to steal elections through oopsies. As always
9
wrosecrans Apr 1, 2026 +14
It's not even really meant to seem legal. He'll get at least as much use out of it if it gets struck down. "I tried to save our insecure elections, but Activist Biden Judges stopped all my policies, so now we can't trust the election that was stolen by the Democrats and you should do another J6 for revenge" is a lot more useful to him than "I successfully installed policies to make the election go R, but the Dems still won despite my claims to have secured the election from them, so do another J6 just because."
14
slapstik007 Apr 1, 2026 +12
So a national registry of gun owners and guns is way off the table but a national registry of voters and likely party affiliation is a very fair game in their minds? Thought so, just wanted to check.
12

> Those lists would then be sent to the states to verify their voter rolls, and USPS, who would be asked only to transmit ballots addressed to people on state citizenship lists. It's unclear how the USPS, a chronically underfunded agency, would absorb the mandate to police election mail as required by the order. They'll just have people at the USPS decide if the name on the envelope sounds like a patriotic God-fearin' American name or not.

ZonghZonghZongh Mar 31, 2026 +163
[The president also has no authority to impose new policies on the United States Postal Service (USPS), which is how mail ballots are generally delivered and returned.](https://protectdemocracy.org/work/no-the-president-cant-ban-mail-voting/)

Additional_Past_7107 Mar 31, 2026 +12
Can he fire usps employees?
12
ZonghZonghZongh Apr 1, 2026 +22
No. He can't even fire Postal Board of Governors members, even though it was floated he was mulling that back in Feb 2025, but it appears that even his groveling, sycophantic staffers informed him that would be expressly against the law, and that the USPS is an independent agency enshrined in the Constitution.
22
cyberkine Mar 31, 2026 +83
The USPS can’t be sued even if they intentionally don’t deliver your mail. So says SCOTUS.
83
SpaceLemming Mar 31, 2026 +27
Delaying mail is a felony, the carrier can go to prison but the post office as whole can’t be touched. Pretty fucked up
27
whereismymind86 Apr 1, 2026 +8
messing with ballots is ALSO a felony. Like, yes, they can't be sued for losing packages etc, but that's a civil tort. All the crimes are still crimes.
8
Jhonka86 Mar 31, 2026 +23
They were intentionally setting up for this. USPS has a mandate to deliver mail. If they don't, too bad. There are no remedies. Even if intentional and malicious.
23
whereismymind86 Apr 1, 2026 +8
There is a remedy, preventing somebody from voting carries a 5 year prison sentence, intentionally not delivering ballots is a violation of that law. You can't sue for something like a paycheck they didn't deliver, but election interference is still a crime.
8
Due_Bluebird3562 Apr 1, 2026 +3
>There are no remedies. The remedy is called prison time. Of which cannot be pardoned assuming state charges. So yeah... go ahead and throw your life away for a dying man post people. It'll go fantastically for you.
3
ayriuss Apr 1, 2026 +27
The postal service doesn't get to decide what mail to send or not send, wtf lol.
27
whereismymind86 Apr 1, 2026 +12
In particular they don't get to decide to not deliver election mail, that is, very specifically, illegal and carries a 5 year prison sentence, per instance. (in this case it would mean Dejoy could be charged with roughly 74 million cases, and sentenced to something like...370 million years in prison.
12
Sedu Apr 1, 2026 +13
Courts recently ruled that USPS cannot be held liable for undelivered mail. That was part 1. Not delivering ballots to undesirables is part 2.
13

33
inconsequentialrant Apr 1, 2026 +27
Be really Cautious! This sounds very similar to what Modi did in India. First they tried with a CAA (Citizenship Amendment Bill)/ NRC (National Register of Citizens) which was heavily protested although quashed by Covid lockdowns. John Oliver did an episode on it. But it was taken further with SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of electoral roles. This not only removed lots of people who were unlikely to vote a certain way from the voter lists based on religion, class or other markers but also became a backdoor to raise doubts on marginalized people's citizenship itself! That process continues in India to disenfranchise voters who would likely be opposed to the current status quo!

Article II, Section 4 enables us to get rid of everyone in an admin at once for treason. Perhaps Congress should invoke it before he orders ICE to open fire on voters. Just a thought. Would be nice.

Impeachment would be easier. The 25th requires his cabinet to be onboard and that’s not going to happen.
39
ford7885 Mar 31, 2026 +29
He's been impeached twice already. Both times the cowards in his own party refused to follow through with it. F****** Mitch McTurtle gave a long speech about how guilty the Orange b****** was, and STILL refused to push for his removal. As much as I'd like to think the devastation this piece of shit has been repsonsible for in the 15 months or so of his second term would be enough to make a difference in a third impeachment, I wouldn't hold my breath expecting such an outcome.
29
FrogsOnALog Mar 31, 2026 +13
Lol instead of doubling down why don’t you read the amendment. It’s literally harder to do and even if they all tried, it would end the second Trump tells them to f*** off because it’s meant for someone who’s incapacitated…

In all likelihood, it's going to be the people that end the madness and bring down this tyrannical oligarchy. Nobody is coming to save you. Whether you choose to hurl insults into the void of the internet and complain about what should be done or whether you take to the streets (peacefully) and stand up for democracy, you are making a choice with consequences. What do you want those consequences to be and how do you want to look back on this moment? Democracy only holds as long as the masses make it hold.

The constitution is pretty specific about how to handle when states abdicate their responsibilities to the federal government.
56
CSGO_Bangkok Mar 31, 2026 +71
And the Constitution also states clearly only Congress can declare war, yet here we are, a month into an "excursion". Your Constitution is now just a "guideline" the Dictator will just skirt around, and your Congress won't do anything about it.

As a fellow Washingtonian - I'd love to see the state shrug and go "OK" - then establish in-person voting that opens a week in advance, has booths to vote everywhere, mobile polling stations that set up shop around cities on clearly communicated schedules, and has a one-click/call way to request an election worker to show up at your house with a ballot for you to vote in person. Make it backfire spectacularly on them. While I'd love to go the extra petty level of "For cost reasons, we won't be doing this in areas with a population of less than X per square mile" but because I love the idea of this country and am a proper patriot... everyone gets a vote. Sue the federal government for the cost of administering it all.

You're right. There's nothing he won't do to prevent the release of the Epstein files or put himself in a position to be impeached. He's going to push each and every American to make a decision. That decision: What will the average citizen do to stand up against the collapsing, malignant, narcissistic wannabe dictator who will blow up democracy and the world to cover his own corrupt, evil ass? You will sacrifice something whether you sit by and do nothing or whether you rise up to the moment. As someone watching from across your northern fence in Canada, I hope with everything in me that you all choose to resist authoritarianism, oligarchy, and corruption with everything you have. There's millions of people around the world cheering for you all to do that very thing.
22
SaquonBarkkley Apr 1, 2026 +42
1. Create federal voter list 2. Pass the S.A.V.E. act 3. From the states that hand over voter rolls, declare there are too many "irregularities" to move forward and voter registrations must be purged so that voters can re-register. 4. Obstruct married women, poor folks, the homeless, POC, and college students from registering to vote and voting in the numbers they otherwise would. One study I saw cited suggested up to 9% of potential voters would be affected.

If the people don't come together to stop him, he has the juice. Assume he will follow through unless you all give him every reason not to. Wannabe dictators don't just suddenly decide not to be authoritarians. They need enormous resistance and friction to be stopped. As a Canadian watching from across the fence, I am begging my American friends to stand up to authoritarianism with everything in you. For real.

This is way the f*** out of his lane. Any legislator, judicial official, or state politician who accedes to this should be considered an enemy of the state.
33
BigHungryFlamingo Mar 31, 2026 +135
Not quite… the executive order is meant to cross reference his federal list with state lists.  However, most states haven’t given up their voter rolls and the whole idea of cross referencing lists would mean our votes aren’t anonymous and that’s unconstitutional.  He’s certainly going to try hard but it could backfire and just make republicans lose even harder.  The idea to pull funding from states that don’t comply will probably get shot down too since federal judges shot down a similar scheme from him last year.  https://www.politico.com/news/2026/01/09/election-trump-order-ruling-00721151 Personally, I switched to early in-person voting. Not that you should have to but, I’m taking no chances and I’m able to vote in-person.

Voters to make it someone else's problem so they don't have to take the heat for impeaching their party's god king.

I remember when Republicans used to freak out over federal government lists

DrMobius0 Apr 1, 2026 +6
If we ever have democratic leadership again, you'll get to see it again.

Condyle_1 Apr 1, 2026 +11
Executive orders aren’t laws and voting is firmly under the authority of the states. Nice try, pedophile.
11
Soft_Walrus_3605 Mar 31, 2026 +9
Most of his executive orders might as well be written on toilet paper for all the legal weight they carry. The courts need to put a stop to this one, for sure.

Trust-Me-Im-A-Potato Apr 1, 2026 +15
Remember when Republicans said we couldn't have lists of people with guns because the government shouldn't have lists of citizens?
15
sircastor Mar 31, 2026 +6
One thing I anticipate this will be used for is to arbitrarily remove voters from voter rolls. This executive order says "make a list of voters" and then "We'll share this list with states so they can check voters against this list" What it doesn't say is that it has to be an accurate list, a complete list, or unbiased in anyway. This could end up being a list of citizen voters who happen to be Republican. And they could (arguably) say that those were the ones they felt sure of. And then maybe they send that list to Georgia or Florida and those states just wholesale clear out voters who aren't on the list. It probably won't be that overt. They might just take it and apply it to certain voting districts. But you see the potential for abuse. Especially when the GOP is so panicked about losing the midterms.

bkcarp00 Apr 1, 2026 +7
Will help a lot of elections by letting him hand pick who is allowed to vote and not vote. Spoiler alert - lots of people in large cities will suddenly not be allowed to vote
7
FartyFartsMD Apr 1, 2026 +8
Can this orange pedophile get thrown in prison already. People do time for shoplifting makeup and this orange rapist gets away with destroying this country and raping/trafficking kids!
8
NewMidwest Mar 31, 2026 +42
We chose this when we elected Trump and his party. Next time, look through the bullshit and vote Democrat.  Vote for people who try to make this country better, even if they are flawed.  Because that’s way better than handing power to people who want to make you a slave.

Esqualatch1 Mar 31, 2026 +6
You know, i feel like we should hold political parties liable for blatantly illegal nonsense while in power. i feel like hitting them and there for the pocket book of there influencers could really tamp down on all the political noise.
6
odirio Mar 31, 2026 +7
Remember, this is the same guy who created fake electors for the 2020 election. So what is he going to try this time when he is even more desperate?
7
Mejay11096 Apr 1, 2026 +7
I’m starting to get a little sick of this guy.
7
existential_anxiety_ Apr 1, 2026 +8
1. He can't do that. 2. Those lists will conveniently only really affect blue states and the more purple counties in those states so those seats will flip republican. 3. USPS can't and won't do that. We do not have the funding nor the time to sit there and validate every person 4. F*** this orange piece of shit
8
DiverBackground6038 Apr 1, 2026 +6
To the Republicans out there that rage against "government databases" .....how you feeling about being put in a government database?
6
Difficult-Low5891 Mar 31, 2026 +4
He just HAD to do something radical to, AGAIN, distract from the other really shitty things he’s doing.
4
Syborg721 Apr 1, 2026 +7
F*** his executive orders. He doesn't get to rule by fiat.
7
Zebra971 Apr 1, 2026 +5
Yeah, that’s not the way this works, this is a clearly unconstitutional executive order. Dumbest timeline ever. Just noise.
5
PaymentTurbulent193 Apr 1, 2026 +6
So we don't even care about legality anymore. I mean we knew that already but this is just so blatantly antidemocratic.
6
EnragedBasil Apr 1, 2026 +4
Are we still pretending like the solution to this madness is peacefully protesting?
4
Unusual_Specialist Apr 1, 2026 +6
This screams illegal AF.

A_Poor_Miser Apr 1, 2026 +5
Huh. That's a weird thing to do if you aren't a dictator.

Oh wow, look, it’s that thing we told everyone would happen and they told us we’re stupid libs.

4
toxiamaple Apr 1, 2026 +5
There are state voter lists. We vote in our states.
5
houstonyoureaproblem Apr 1, 2026 +4
He can sign all the executive orders he wants. They aren't the law, and states run their own elections.
4
betty_white_bread Apr 1, 2026 +3
> "I won three times. I won three times convincingly," he said Tuesday after he signed the order. Then his current claim to authority via occupation of the White House is illegal and every law enforcement officer has an obligation to arrest him, if this is true.
3
hickory Apr 1, 2026 +5
F*** this fascist and all his followers for their attempts to dismantle our democracy
5
Background-Fly130 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Good thing it was only written via Sharpie on papers not passed by Congress. Hello Trump fans, just because he pretends to sign some shit, it does not make it law
4
Bmkrocky Apr 1, 2026 +5
from the party of states rights and small government...
5

*drumroll* Rigging the election!
4
Financial_Grab_7711 Apr 1, 2026 +4
"You can't say Covid is increasing if you don't test." "You can't count votes if they aren't on OUR premade list" The trump admin. Also don't states control their elections?
4
Mobile-Witness-7169 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Again elections are ran by the states and therefore any voter rolls are state controlled property. An executive order only applies to US government institutions and employees so states do not have to provide any list of voters to the federal government.
4
SpecialistState4804 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Lists... you say?? what about the EPSTEIN LIST?
4
JoeBuskin Apr 1, 2026 +4
So desperate to undermine the election any way they can. They must know how popular they are
4
slawnz Apr 1, 2026 +3
How f****** embarrassing to have such a low chance of winning the game that you have to rig it. F****** shameful.
3
occaisionallyimqwert Apr 1, 2026 +4
Good lord. The draft is coming, and who do you think is going to be the first round draft picks.  Not maga, that’s for sure.
4
Life-Sherbet-7942 Apr 1, 2026 +5
EOs are not laws and states need to stop responding to them!
5
AppFart Apr 1, 2026 +1
I signed an executive order this morning ordering the release of his c*** and balls
1
trisul-108 Apr 1, 2026 +1
>It's unclear how the USPS, a chronically underfunded agency, would absorb the mandate to police election mail as required by the order. They wouldn't, that's the whole point. The article explains it is unconstitutional, but does not dare put that in the headline. That is how the Constitution is being dismantled, step by step.
1
yrotsihfoedisgnorw Apr 1, 2026 +1
It's amazing how much the 'don't tread on me' crowd supports being treaded upon.

"Imagine if a Democrat did this."
7
verone3784 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Ah yes, the party of "Small Government" and "Less Regulation".
3
epineph Mar 31, 2026 +3
Why did the democrats do this?!?!? /s
3
The_B_Wolf Mar 31, 2026 +3
The Republican Party is going to be so toxic before we're done with Trump. If they fail at cheating, they may never again win the presidency.
3
txyesboy2 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Yeah except states keep their own records, bro. The state of Texas is already being sued by LULAC over something they've tried similar to this, where they sought to purge voter rolls from federal records; but the state already had accurate information about these voters.
3
Wolfy1-2-3 Mar 31, 2026 +3
How soon can this EO be challenged in court?
3
peonofphyrexia Mar 31, 2026 +3
Basically going to come after anyone that doesn’t vote for his shitstain Party
3
HUT2Moon Mar 31, 2026 +3
White people born here get to vote. That’s their dream. This will be hilariously shut down by the courts and he’ll whine and moan and claim corruption and deep state. And it will probably be a Republican judge that overrules this.
3
Caveman-Ug Mar 31, 2026 +3
He knows he can’t win unless he cheats
3
Strange_Library5833 Apr 1, 2026 +3
North Dakota doesn't even have voter registration, but I'm willing to bet they're exempt from this requirement. I wonder why that might be?
3
Deceptiveideas Apr 1, 2026 +3
Tons of bad news today and all the conservative communities don't have a single thread about them lmao

Impeach and imprison this sob.
3
OhhMyGeek Apr 1, 2026 +3
A list of "citizens" compiled and managed by the regime. And a barcode on every envelope and ballot that tells you the registration details of the vote. It didn't pass our legislative branch. But we are stupid for worrying about kings, you say?
3
Amenian Apr 1, 2026 +3
Meaningless EO. The President has no power over elections
3
CrimsonBolt33 Apr 1, 2026 +3
crickets over on the conservative sub....more proof its a psyop sub and not a real conservative sub
3
SashaBeans Apr 1, 2026 +3
Unconstitutional. Get lost.
3
ShogsKrs Apr 1, 2026 +3
We, as a nation, have suffered from a lack of imagination. Trust and believe Trump WILL make every effort to control voting and the counting of votes in ways we have yet to imagine. No amount of "he can't do that" or "he has no authority" will prepare us for what he WILL do. I don't know what specifically we can do to mitigate the shit show he will force us to live through, but I do believe we must NOT fail to imagine the worst.
3
Independent_Bet_8107 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Can you believe the flag waving motherfuckers who voted for this guy one, two, three times describe themselves as patriots? The absolute dumbest motherfuckers of my lifetime.
3
Game_Of_Runs Apr 1, 2026 +3
Shit will get crazier and crazier and more brazen as we get closer to the election
3

Sp sick of this crusty kid raping cancer on humanity
3
Wyldjay2 Apr 1, 2026 +3
This b****** is clearly getting worried about the midterms and knows he has to rig the elections if he is to have any chance after the midterms. We can’t let that happen.
3
Crafty_Ish1973 Apr 1, 2026 +3
This would give Republicans free rein to disenfranchise millions of people at will. F*** that.
3
purpleblossom Apr 1, 2026 +3
Trump signs a new obviously illegal executive order... So just another day that ends in 'y'.
3
Plastic_Key_4146 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Their internal polling must indicate they're going to jail.
3
kartuli78 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Executive order ≠ edict
3
TheMightyCatatafish Apr 1, 2026 +3
This shit is legitimately our make or break. This is illegal as f***. Either we stop it dead in its tracks no holds barred, or we let it slide through.
3
FloodPlainsDrifter Apr 1, 2026 +3
Just as military personnel are required to disobey illegal orders, US citizens should feel a patriotic duty to refuse unconstitutional presidential proclamations, like this one. Any state or federal official that attempts to implement the trump regime directives are violating their oath of office.
3
mrbigglessworth Apr 1, 2026 +3
This is literally anti-democracy
