Paraphrased: The difference between the Iran War and Vietnam, is that Trump had a plan to get himself out of Vietnam. And so here we go, in circles.

Normally I think it's odd to compare Trump to someone significantly more intelligent than he is, but it kinda fits

We are gonna bomb them 300% sometimes even 400% less than we already do!
15

Negative bombings, does that mean we get bombed?

I'm scrolling Listnook reading about a "one page" agreement that the US and Iran are close to signing to end the war. I scroll a minute more and Trump is on the verge of bombing them again... I think I'm getting PTSD from all the "winning."

This is what happens when your country is run by a guy with dementia and all his staff are trying to pretend everything is fine.

What is real crazy is that americans love the senility, it is **not being proud** of that senility that they find offensive. That is why the non voters say "DNC can't be trusted for hiding" and "maga has no meaningful problems" at the same time.

While making who knows how much money on the side with grifting as many parties as possible.
3
nolok May 6, 2026 +17
I think someone need to let them know an agreement is only valid if both side agree to it. The draft of demands his team made is not an agreement very close to being signed... Here's how you know that's what's happening : you haven't heard a single one of Iran's demands. Not one.

Reminds me of someone else who started a 3-day war they regret and are struggling to find an off-ramp that looks like success so they don’t get creamed at home. Destroyed his country’s economy and demographics in the process. Wonder if this guy will take it as far…
38
Hautamaki May 6, 2026 +8
I highly doubt Americans would let Trump send 1.5 million to their deaths in Iran over a 4 year period without accomplishing anything, but hey I've been wrong about what Americans will stand for and against before.
8
Secret_Ad_1541 May 6, 2026 +10
Exactly. And Trump has pretty much boxed himself in by insisting on Iran renouncing nuclear weapons. Iran isn't going to go for that, especially after Trump proved to them that they actually did need nukes. It's a stalemate if Trump insists nukes are non negotiable and Iran is obviously not agreeing to that. Donnie never knew how to negotiate anything, he just bullies and threatens. Iran isn't intimidated by him, and they shouldn't be, nor should they trust him, at all.
10
lesser_panjandrum May 6, 2026 +18
Putin is in a similar position in his invasion of Ukraine. He's been stuck there for a while.

4

There is no negotiation team - unless you are talking about Witkoff, Kushner and now, Stewart. And the Iranians won’t talk to them

Super excited for gas to go above $5! It was $2.73 6 weeks ago, $4.39 a week ago, $4.69 this morning. Remember last time gas prices raised \*way less than this\* and MAGAidiots had a conniption about Biden?
33
DiveCat May 6, 2026 +18
I have seen his ball lickers trying to claim gas prices are lower than two years ago. His supporters shouldn’t care. Dementia Don already told them he is surprised gas prices aren’t higher as he definitely thought they would be at $200 or $300 a barrel. The spin is he saved them from even higher prices and it’s worth it to make sure Iran doesn’t get a nuke. Meanwhile I am far more concerned about the nukes that do exist and that Dementia Don DOES have under his control. This is all just going to guarantee more countries make sure they have nukes. They can see the U.S. isn’t bombing North Korea.
18
IIIllIIlllIlII May 6, 2026 +4
“Yeah I’m paying $5 a gal at the pump, but it’s a small price to pay so Iran doesn’t have ambitions of nukes” - some MAGA chud.
4
hpark21 May 6, 2026 +4
One COULD argue that if NK did have such amount of oil as Iran does, they would not have been able to make nukes in the first place I guess.
4
Hypnotist30 May 6, 2026 +2
They're lower than their peak in June of 2022 right now, but it's not 2022 anymore. They were all howling about Biden and the Keystone XL pipeline at $3.50. It's very likely at this point that we'll see June of 2022 prices in the very near future, but I'm not an oil speculator. They're all wallowing in cognitive dissonance.
2
StarGaurdianBard May 6, 2026 +6
MAGA genuinely thinks that gas was $6-7 a gallon during the entire Biden presidency. You can show them pictures of it being $2.20 and they will say its fake
6
DrapedInVelvet May 6, 2026 +4
The most shocking thing was that a mainstay of trumps campaign was about how there was $2 gas during his presidency. Commercials claiming this. It was $2 because of Covid and literally everything was closed so demand dropped to almost 0. Yet people were like “yeah I want $2 gas back!!”

I don't know what the motivation is to open the strait. Open - he bombs Iran. Closed - He bombs Iran. Regardless of it being open or closed - his puppet masters bomb iran. I wouldn't cave if I was given non options either.
22
CalebAsimov May 6, 2026 +7
Yeah, it's a consequence of Trump being untrustworthy and dishonest, you really can't agree to anything half way because he won't follow through. Iran basically is in a situation where until the US is well and clear of the entire region, they can't consider the war to be over because Trump could turn around and bomb them again. But at the same time, the US isn't going to leave the region. So it's an impass.

3
Unlucky-Public-2947 May 6, 2026 +3
And before they bombed they were not claiming ownership of it, all Trump had done is make them realise they are more powerful than they first thought.

so in the last 72 hours, the war was declared over (so as not to require congressional approval to continue) but also Rubio said that was the end to offensive action against Iran, but Trump is saying otherwise (and a whole lot of other shit) all at the same time.
397

39
P_ZERO_ May 6, 2026 +22
The chaos and disorientation is by design. It’s very much a control strategy. It’s called flooding the zone. There may be lies, but they’re not necessarily always used to avoid the truth. Illusory truth is also **heavily** employed with the Trump circus. It’s the main facet. Why do these two things work? You’re spending your entire life trying to find out what’s actually going on while trying to correct misinformation or lies. You can’t keep up, it’s just one thing after another.
22
__mud__ May 6, 2026 +6
Is it lying if they don't even know what the truth is? They're all trying to convince each other of what to do next
6
smailskid May 6, 2026 +3
When they don't know what they're doing, and they just vomit out an answer that sounds good, that is a lie.

I used to be shocked by how unhinged these messages from a US president were. Now I just try to ignore news about what he says as much as possible, like he’s a raving lunatic on a street corner. It’s not even because I disagree with him, it’s because his words seem to have no bearing on anything whatsoever. It’s a shame.

8
PopePiusVII May 6, 2026 +5
For real, though. This is their strategy: say so much shit all the time that in the future they can claim to be in the right no matter what the outcome is. War starts up again? “It’s Iran’s fault—we were just talking about how close we were to a deal.” Public backlash to another forever war? “We aren’t starting wars, we’re just reopening the straight.” Congress gets mad about lack of war declaration? “We told you, that old operation is over. This is another operation, we swear.” And any goal that succeeds, however marginally, was the plan all along.

The best Aces! Ace of Base! Remember Barbie Girl? Great tune, the best tune. They say Alannis Morrissette, great American by the way, wrote it about me after I went down on her in a theater. Anyways what was I saying? Oh yeah the war is over. We won. Now let's bomb Iran.

I've not seen a more clueless and stupid negotiator than Donald "I will resolve all wars in 2 weeks" Trump. Either this or intentional manipulation of stock market using illegal war. Given how many billions he hoarded to his total wealth in just his last 1 year presidency... How is this shit not illegal and he prosecuted for financial crimes is just baffling. But I guess everyone is just complacent even in the justice department. The most corrupt USA administration of all times.

35

Honestly, I have slightly more disdain for the apathetic third. I can at least partially attribute the blame for the MAGA assholes to the billions that have been sunk into a media empire for over 50 years to herd an entire generation into the arms of belief in American exceptionalism and misinformation. Meanwhile, the people who just couldn't be bothered are just as heartless, almost entirely of their own volition.

awful. Its a very hard pill to swallow as a millennial that the hopeful american dream we were fed as kids is all a sham. The cards have been stacked against us for decades at this point and the unlucky ones of the bunch are rent poor and trapped with college debt and no hope that the government will ever make decisions based on helping the working class. everything in this country is designed to sow dissonance, kill the under privileged, and transfer all wealth to the elite. They want us to fight each other, hate each other, become nationalists who want only braindead white Christian extremists to be the populus. Its to the point where the idea of owning a house, making enough money to save, having more kids, is a fever dream. We are a war machine that will pump all of our tax dollars into trying to take over countries for oil and real-estate. We will never have universal healthcare, affordable day care, free school lunches, education that propels our youth, infrastructure that grows and promotes healthy living and working americans, or growing industry built off production and labor thats well earned and makes us a nation of happy citizens with a work-life balance that allows us to prosper. America is a nation in decline and most of us would rather live elsewhere because America does not align with our values, morals, or desire to live a good life where we feel confident our government will be the pillars of an growing, honest society that makes the world a better place.

Imagine, you start a war allegedly to prevent a country from developing nuclear weapons. At the end of the war, the result is: - That country is still developing nuclear weapons - One of the most important maritime routes of the world is now closed - All your main allies are now facing huge consequences due to the lack of oil. - Obviously, civilians are dying due to the bombs and rebels are getting killed by the government. Like, it's really difficult to do something worse. This is literally the definition of "failure".

Im so so sick of this cancerous clown....

Xspike_dudeX May 6, 2026 +3
I feel like we are stuck in some weird groundhog day. I keep waking up to deal struck with Iran Hurmuz reopens and then Trump threatens Iran to reopen Hormuz. Over and over and over

sloowshooter May 6, 2026 +3
All bombing does is kill citizens and they don't matter to the regime. The only thing his threats do are point to the fact that the USA's military might is not an all purpose tool. Turns out it's a terrible lever to try and remove oneself from self created problems.
3
redmambo_no6 May 6, 2026 +3
Soooo how are those gas prices?
3
Old_Tendo May 6, 2026 +3
Idk man, that threat hasn't worked the last 20 times you said it
3
Oy_of_Mid-world May 6, 2026 +3
I thought we had a one page outline with concepts of a peace plan?
3
jjax2003 May 6, 2026 +3
Usathreats from trump are worthless seeing how this guy can't follow through with anything.
3
Error404_Error420 May 6, 2026 +3
Haven't I read this headline like 30 times in the past weeks?
3
mikeyt6969 May 6, 2026 +3
But I thought WE controlled it
3
ctguy54 May 6, 2026 +2
Only every other day. You know, taco.
2
More_Farm_7442 May 6, 2026 +3
This is why no one, no country, not Iran, no one will notiate anything with the U.S. any longer. Trump can't keep his mouth shut. He's out spouting off while his negotiaters are behind closed doors. They open the doors, and find out he's said something 180 degrees from what they just settled. Iran should walk away and start firing off missles again.
3
yetagainitry May 6, 2026 +3
negotiations are going well.
3
NoSwordfish6949 May 6, 2026 +2
More empty threats to taco on
2
Colmd1997 May 6, 2026 +2
Has to be insider trading. Price of oil falls massively in the hopes of a deal being struck, then he makes a post that causes oil prices to spike again
2
Daimoth May 6, 2026 +2
Shocking
2
Human_Inside_928 May 6, 2026 +2
Trump in the Epstein files 38,000 times.
2
lgx May 6, 2026 +2
I thought this was an old news
2
Shwalz May 6, 2026 +2
When do people start waking up? This has been the same shit for weeks, while things continue to just get more expensive and unstable. What the f*** are we doing
2
tip871 May 6, 2026 +2
And the next step is to not bomb Iran, because negotiations are progressing. And the next step is, he threatens..
2
Dry_Ass_P-word May 6, 2026 +2
Operation Oopsie Daisy
2
Gh0stPeppers May 6, 2026 +2
Man, that was short lived
2
resnus May 6, 2026 +2
Every day feels like groundhog day. Same shit in an infinite loop.
2
TheJiggie May 6, 2026 +2
I forgot what the definition of insanity was. Anyone here able to refresh my memory?
2
abofh May 6, 2026 +2
The bombing will continue until the thank yous improve
2
Upstairs_Teach_7064 May 6, 2026 +2
These reruns are boring
2
Responsible-Ad-1086 May 6, 2026 +2
Operation epic f*** up
2
holy_cal May 6, 2026 +2
This real life adaption of Groundhog Day sucks ass.
2
RespectTheTree May 6, 2026 +2
Starting on Friday at 4pm, after market close, for the grifting.
2
outofbounds322 May 6, 2026 +2
So confused. So didn't KEGseth, hegeseth, whatever he calls himself, and the DOW war operation Dumbo drop thousands upon thousands of bombs, patriots and the things and obliterate the Iran military and ability to make war? How are they still holding the strait. Riddle me that Govt? I bet they think strippers like them too
2
rvingthrulife May 6, 2026 +2
Iran : go ahead... Make our day.
2
imissher4ever May 6, 2026 +2
So… SSDD?
2
brokeboipobre May 6, 2026 +2
TACO is big mad Chyna made a deal with Iran.
2
Aggressive-Will-4500 May 6, 2026 +2
It's like Groundhog Month.
2
ThE_LAN_B4_TimE May 6, 2026 +2
Its like watching Edge of tomorrow, every day is a f****** repeat. I need to start betting money in this shit. We are close to an agreement Then its someone gets attacked Then a response from the other side Then its back to "im gonna bomb your asses into oblivion if you dont listen!!!!" Meanwhile its "we are going to assist ships in the strait. Its open!!!!" Ships get attacked "The war is essentially over!!!"
2
Treesbentwithsnow May 6, 2026 +2
Oops. He forgot to say “In Two Weeks.”
2
SirMeatLoafs May 6, 2026 +2
Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome. The US president, ladies and gentlemen.
2
ElderGoose4 May 6, 2026 +2
If the temperature wasn't getting gradually warmer I would have thought I was stuck in a Groundhog day loop.
2
DanoPinyon May 6, 2026 +2
The best part? Putin gets to inflict damage on the entire world via his puppet Donnie Dotard and the expense is minimal.
2
Tadpoleonicwars May 6, 2026 +2
I thought the war was over because we had a memo
2
Citizen-Kang May 6, 2026 +2
Surely, it'll work this time, despite the outcome from all the other times....
2
whooo_me May 6, 2026 +2
Dude seriously needs some new material.
2
IncidentSome4403 May 6, 2026 +2
Same time next week guys?
2
Locoman7 May 6, 2026 +2
So it’s reruns now huh?
2
tip871 May 6, 2026 +2
Don't worry, it's just a minor technical problem in the Matrix, an endless loop.
2
MycoProTeam May 6, 2026 +2
And round and round we go
2
benrinnes May 6, 2026 +2
He's as bad as Putin. He can't let go, even though things will settle down once the USN is gone from the area.
2
TheArcticFox444 May 6, 2026 +2
>Trump threatens Iran with bombing if it doesn’t reopen Strait of Hormuz He's desperate to cover up the truth. Iran didn't start it's current enrichment until **after** he canceled the previous nuclear agreement. IOW, he doesn't want us being bombed with nuclear weapons he allowed. (Wish the news media would keep reminding the public of this!)
2
GroundbreakingUse794 May 6, 2026 +2
Almost Friday. The threats are mandatory to manipulate the market for Monday. And around and around we go.
2
Mysterious_Lesions May 6, 2026 +2
So we'll go back to doing the thing that caused you to close the Strait in the first place but our bombing will work this time.
2
XIPWNFORFUN2 May 6, 2026 +2
Wake me up when the back and forth is over. Christ.
2
Thagyr May 6, 2026 +2
So more of the same that worked so well the first time.
2
OriginalConnect3042 May 6, 2026 +2
After saying an entire civilization will die tonight. Bridge and powerplant day, all wrapped in 1. There will be nothing like it! It makes all other threats kinda meaningless.
2
toasohcah May 6, 2026 +2
Trump's opening move was bombing and killing a school full of girls, before Iran closed the straight? I just don't think the Trump regime understands that the Iranian regime doesn't care if more citizens die, sort of like how the Trump regime doesn't care if US soldiers die.
2
Common-Ad6470 May 6, 2026 +2
Trump’s bully boy threats to Iran have about as much credibility as Putin threatening to nuke the World every other week.
2
HeavilyInvestedDonut 6 days ago +2
Again? Every week it’s rinse and repeat

“We apologize again for the fault in the bombing. Those responsible for bombing the people who have just been bombed have been bombed.”
