He made a tariff deal under the threat of tariffs. Then spent a year threatening tariffs despite the deal.
Now the EU lawmakers cannot convince the member-states that the US will honour its part of the deal. Trump proceeds to make the same threats again, returning back to point one (April 2025) after having spent every ounce of his credibility.

The Presidential Seat of the Free World meant something to other countries, America meant something beyond what it is now
Now 1/3 is the number in most of our heads that America has representing followers of Trump
Goodluck changing that in the next century unless the states do split and the racists/ bigots do get segregated from policies though most people know it’s both sides politically that need to be outed regardless for allowing Trump’s reign to exist so casual
It’s also stupid that each time Trunp mentions tariffs… it’s hurting the USA more than other countries, it’s all very mind boggling besides share manipulation and it working for his private friends vs voters/ common people

That was more like "tarrifs of ABC123 type are illegal"
So they are coming back with tarrifs ABC124, so it has to go through the whole legal ptocess again.
If SCOTUS werent corrupt, they could have just said all tarrifs are illegal unless specifically reviewed & ratified by congress.

He didn't have any.
But essentially it's a problem in game theory, it costs nearly nothing to negotiate as though this time he will be happy with the deal. Yes, it's annoying, and his behaviour takes a lot of news time, but other than feeling good about ourselves we get nothing out of not negotiating.
Under normal circumstances you would want some form of punishment for the betrayal, before attempting trust again, which at least in public is counter tariffs. But the tariffs are bad for the US. So it's actually sort of hard to come up with a punishment here that is worse than what the US is doing to itself. Canada and the EU have tried to come up with counter tariffs that hurt companies which support trump, or where their goods can be replaced relatively easily. The EU could aim for some sort of public humiliation of Trump personally, you could go after his stuff in Ireland or Romania (or if the UK if they are on board), but that risks a bigger tantrum over a golf course and some apartments. Hardly worth it.

There is only this moment. No tomorrow. No yesterday. There is only this moment and I must protect my ego right now. I will say what is needed to win each conversation. Each interview. Each criticism. I will tell you what reality is and if you question me I will rage and hurt you. How dare you question my fantasy world?!?

It's like some ignorant bully disinviting friends one by one. The day after his birthday where no one shows up, he'll blame his former friends.

Please do, we are still too reliant on US based products. That’d help our politicians to finally ditch US based products in favor of European ones.

Don't hear him talking much about that $36 trillion national debt - $1 trillion per year interest payments alone..
His only go to are tariffs which slow economic growth and worsen the debt. Can the US ever recover from Trump?

Lol, for the umpteenth time in the last 12 months or so. We honestly don't care anymore. I do feel bad for the future American presidents, though. They will constantly try to heal the relationship with the EU, and we'll always decline. We HAVE to decline. We're always just one presidential election away from having to deal with a second Trump, so it's in our best interests to cut all ties.
