Pretty sure the US already halted aid. Is he gonna not sell weapons to Europe anymore? Europe will just donate things they buy if they want.
1
-_GIZMO_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
A couple of countries are looking into are they even delivering stuff they bought for Ukraine, so my guess is nah they ain't even selling now
1
bilzui Apr 1, 2026 +1
Can't you just ask Ukraine which weapons they received?
1
sparrowtaco Apr 1, 2026 +1
Ukraine isn't a person you can just ask. There are tens of billions of dollars of equipment flowing through multiple countries, organizations, and military branches. It takes some doing to trace everything end-to-end and figure out where everything ended up.

He is taking the money, but not shipping the goods.
1
Wyciorek Apr 1, 2026 +1
No, he is talking about the stuff Europe already bought for Ukraine (PURL program).
1
vonGlick Apr 1, 2026 +1
So he is gonna steal stuff they already sold?
1
bread-cheese-pan Apr 1, 2026 +1
If he hasn't already.
1
ButterscotchOk5339 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It's almost like he isn't honest.
1
HunterFeeFee Apr 1, 2026 +1
Trump is talking about stealing more weapons from Europe. Just another sign of American bankruptcy. Moral and financial.
1
ChrisFromIT Apr 1, 2026 +1
I think he is talking about the military aid that NATO has bought from the US.
1
MetalBawx Apr 1, 2026 +1
I mean he's already redirected weapons the EU paid for on Ukraines behalf to ME nations.
1
Spinoza42 Apr 1, 2026 +1
What is apparently already happening is that weapons that European countries bought for Ukraine end up going to the Middle East instead. It seems Trump now wants to formalise that process.
1

"Im failing in Iran! What do I do!?! I know! I'll threaten Ukraine! Brilliant!" Jesus f****** Christ, how is this person in charge of my country?

The same country who already sent drone specialists to the Gulf to help protect US forces despite fighting an existential war across thousands of km all while the country that invaded it Russia is actively helping target American service members.
1
Kevadu Apr 1, 2026 +1
I mean, they're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. They are experts at defending against drone attacks now and they are selling that expertise to the gulf states that have a lot of money and are suddenly worried about drone attacks. Makes a lot of sense. Not blaming anyone for this (well, other than Trump). It is a mutually beneficial arrangement.
1
zoobrix Apr 1, 2026 +1
If he goes through with this US defence firms can kiss even more of their European business goodbye. Delays in defense procurement are common, but if you accept a contract and start playing games and threatening your customers they will start looking elsewhere, even for things that are very difficult to source elsewhere or produce yourself. Plus Europe produces a lot of parts that US defense firms use too, 25% of all parts for the F-35 are made in Europe. And the ejection seat and it's assembly are only made in the UK. Sure the American defense industrial complex is very impressive but in a globalized world if Trump cuts off orders that Europe is buying they can cause all sorts of huge problems for American defense contractors too. Of course Trump doesn't understand any of that, and wouldn't care if he did.
1
Bodster88 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It won’t be just European purchases put in jeopardy. I’m pretty sure many countries around the globe will be reconsidering the US military complex’s reliability.

It's wild they sold this guy as the 'negotiator' and the 'business man'. He has only one mode for anything. Threatening force. He's a rapist to his core. Nothing else. US is just losing all its soft power and exposing its military weakness as a result. Even crazier that only 5 years ago both Russia and the US were viewed as unstoppable military might amongst the world. Done fucked yourselves, Americans.
1
planetarybum Apr 1, 2026 +1
He only has an undergraduate degree in economics and no political or military experience. He was a bit of a joke everywhere, now he's a total joke that's backfired badly.
1
yabn5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It’s funny that conservatives insist he’s not a rapist, when it’s so overwhelming clear he cannot accept no as an answer.
1
Bluemanze Apr 1, 2026 +1
"its just good business" when he threatens an extreme outcome to get some middle ground compromise. No, that's schoolyard bully incel shit. It only works until someone calls your bluff and you have to commit. The Iran war is the result of that.
1
vonGlick Apr 1, 2026 +1
I met a similar person few years back. He used to be a negotiator handling suppliers' contracts for a big international corporation. Long story short I tried to negotiate a business partnership with him but he would not budge. He would rather see us both lose than me get more than him. One of those "great" negotiators that can only make a deal from position of strength.
1
polocinkyketaminky Apr 1, 2026 +1
because all his life he never got a no for an answer...daddy's money and army of lawyers were always there for him to get him whatever he wants.

The US military has always been pretty much wholly and exclusively a show of force. Where brains are required, they've had to outsource that to other countries.
1

Russia really destroyed America in the end and his supporters would rather be anything other than a Democrat or a patriot. It’s just far far on the stupid scale

Canada is right there with you on that. We will not forget our closest ally knifing us in the back repeatedly. I am certain of it.
1

Or calling Canada the 51st state.
1
No_Gur1113 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Don’t forget using economic force to try and destroy our economy so they can annex us. He’s decimating the Canadian auto industry that has always worked closely with the USA and Mexico, because we won’t let a country 10x the size of ours dump their lower quality dairy (which is highly subsidized by the US government) on our protected, unsubsidized Canadian market. Allowing this would put our own farmers out of business because they would not be able to compete against US federal subsidies that they are (obviously) not entitled to. The loss of Canadian farming would force us to be more reliant on the USA, threatening our food security. Further reliance on the USA is not something anyone wants right now. Or ever again, I hope. The rest of the world is in his crosshairs and everyone is gobsmacked at the stupid shit he’s doing, but Canada has been in the hot seat since Musk stole the last election for him. We’ve gotten pretty good at ignoring the ballad of Pedo Pumpkinhead. It’s nice to have some company over here in purgatory. Too bad it means the current US administration is taking a speed run at destroying the rest of the GD world.

"calling it coalition of the willing" is a stretch when threatening allies, its crazy that the lives of innocent Ukrainians are being used to force Europe into a war that was not even discussed beforehand.

US is not giving Ukraine anything anymore. Have not for a while. Instead, it is selling weapons to Europe and Europe is giving those weapons to Ukraine. Those weapons have already been paid for. He is threatening to not deliver those paid weapons (stealing) or to sell any weapons in the future. Either way its moronic behaviour and I am sure the stock holders are jumping in joy.
1
Melstead Apr 1, 2026 +1
Only Russia wants this
1
loud-spider Apr 1, 2026 +1
US leadership is now unreliable and tilted hard toward Russia and Israel at the expense of 80 years of post-war alliances. It now seems that the US military-industrial complex is also about to become unreliable. Paid for some weapons? Yeah too bad, we're not delivering them...what are you going to do about it? Looks like UK and French arms manufacturing are about to get a boost.
1
Honest-Estimate4964 Apr 1, 2026 +1
What "aid"?
1
slavaukrine Apr 1, 2026 +1
He’s already stopped it and stolen the money NATO paid for American arms.
1

There's just no freaking way to know what Trump will do next! Well... I mean I guess we could just ask Putin, but other than that, there's just no way to know.
1
jsnxander Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not true. Any nation unwilling to join in Trump's public masturbation need only allow a Trump Golf course to be built and he'll stop asking for them to join Invasion v1.0. We're it me, I'd put up a Trump Golf course over a toxic waste dump and call it a day.
1
wwarnout Apr 1, 2026 +1
Bottom line - TRUMP IS A TRAITOR. His threat would provide aid and comfort to the enemy, and Russia has been America's arch enemy for 80 years. I weep for all Americans that must endure this deplorable dictator.

1

Not delivering the weapons already bought by European NATO allies because they are busy trying to help Ukraine while Trump decided to start a war of his own, is so predictable. Completely shitting all over allies, then deciding to blatantly just not deliver goods sold i.e stealing the money. Peak Trump cleptocracy.

Aid to Ukraine since Trump assumed office is close to a standstill. There has been a bit of SAM deliveries (now ceased) and HIMARS missiles. A bit of spare parts for Strykers. Nothing else. Even much of the satellite intelligence is now coming from other sources. Trump was apparently angered that Poland refused to transfer a Polish owned Patriot system to the middle east. Korea makes a comparable SAM system the Cheongung II with ballistic missile intercept capability and 2 systems that UAE possessed apparently performed very well. Korea produces several SAM systems and I think we will see more western countries take up their medium and long range intercept systems. Although IRIS-T is also superb and its production rates are ever increasing. SAMP/T is another European system (Fr & It) but its production rate is so low.

1
Thurak0 Apr 1, 2026 +1
> According to three sources, after the allies refused, Trump threatened to withdraw the U.S. from the PURL program – a NATO initiative to procure weapons for Ukraine funded by European countries. > In response, with the assistance of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, several countries, including France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, agreed on March 19 to a joint statement expressing readiness to help ensure safe navigation. When will they learn that giving the bully what he wants, he will just demand more and more. True, the statement didn't cost much, but of course that's not the end. As if the USA would deliver stuff. The Gulf States will offer more money and therefore get deliveries first. Europe cannot win or alter that, no matter what Trump will extort out of the EU.
