Trump Tirades on Iran Take Ugly, Sadistic Turn as Crushing Polls Hit

MAGA: You can terrorize millions of Americans, drag innocent women through the streets by the hair, invade private homes illegally, and have secret, masked police execute innocent Americans in the streets by shooting them in the head, but if the price of gas goes up, THAT is too much!

Trump was already ugly and sadistic.

I really wish reporting on this issue (and others) would stop framing this with things like "there are questions about..." blah blah blah. We don't have questions. We don't need Trump to explain why we're at war with Iran. This implicitly suggests that his answer wouldn't be either 1. a blatant, provable lie or, 2. a stunning admission of incompetence and corruption. Stop acting like we don't know, or that there's some even remote possibility that there's a reasonable explanation for all this. Same goes for Congress when they interview his cronies. The probing questions are revealing but they're not strong enough. It's like if you asked a kid who got into the cookie jar when they have obvious cookie crumbs all over their face. A confession has very limited value. The real question is "what are you going to do about it?" And so far the answer is obviously "basically nothing." Enough with the questions. Time for action.

There's a clear logic to it - hurting brown people and putting perceived inferiors violently in their place is what MAGA is there for, and appealing to his base through bloodlust is not actually new. H just used to be more about suggesting cops beat up suspects and MAGAts beat up protesters. Problem is MAGA doesn't even get to see the daily highlight reel, and no amount of joy at dad or hurt people in Iran fills your gas tank.
