I predict he will talk a lot without actually saying anything at all.
1015
TigerUSA20 Apr 1, 2026 +178
Of course he will say how great he is and what he’s doing for America will be awesome. I’m sure he will throw in how bad democrats are and the Supreme Court for not doing everything he, as dictator, commanded.

You forgot those nasty Europeans

Toss in some shots at NATO, the fed, sleepy joe, and if the amyloid plaques are doing their thing, maybe we'll get some stationary picks for 2026.

Will he tell us windmills are bad?
2

But Russia is very friendly.
6
thedarkpolitique Apr 1, 2026 +16
He literally just said in a conference “I’m going to give a speech later on today… and I’ll talk about how great I am”. He literally said that.
16
lostroadrunner22 Apr 1, 2026 +29
America won! So we will leave! But also attack ! And. Hormuz will be open! Or. Europe clean it up.
29
8bit_squirtle Apr 2, 2026 +2
lol this is exactly what he said
2
dafunkmunk Apr 1, 2026 +15
I predict trump and bis buddies are going to make an obscene amount of money from the stock market manipulation that happens every time he opens his mouth about anything
15
ViolettaQueso Apr 1, 2026 +8
I mean, he is piggy backing on the first manned moon rocket launch in 5 decades so you know it has to be super important. And cohesive. And intelligent. And he’ll be in great form way past his bedtime. /s or /aprilfools It’s going to be mortifying.
8
Broken_Reality Apr 1, 2026 +14
Oh he will say a lot about his ballroom and rant about the judge that blocked it from being built till he gets congressional approval. I am 100% certain he will rant about that.
14
very_anonymous Apr 1, 2026 +6
I actually think this is mainly just to do a self-fellating victory lap after this Artemis launch.
6
Unlucky_Clover Apr 1, 2026 +6
He’s going to say how great he is, how this will make America great again, make false claims about Iran programs, and then shit on our former allies for not cleaning up his mess. I will be surprised if he says anything more than that.
6
bleucurve Apr 1, 2026 +11
I predict he will shit his pants in live TV
11
Think_Tooth1675 Apr 2, 2026 +3
Just watched it and you would be right.
3
PoliticsIsDepressing Apr 1, 2026 +6
Honestly, many people I know haven’t watched his speeches for the last year. There is a slim chance they watch tonight and knowing it’ll be a train wreck it might finally get some of them to question his mental capacity. The last speech I watched from him was the speech to the generals and I couldn’t take it.
6
Fly_Rodder Apr 1, 2026 +8
I haven’t been able to watch or listen to him talk for 10 years. He’s a moron.
8
boogermike Apr 1, 2026 +4
I was here to make this comment, so I am happy to see it is the top one. I would rather listen the the President of Iran, and I trust what he is saying more.
4
mendenlol Apr 1, 2026 +2
the president isn’t same guy as the ayatollah (just so you’re aware)
2
someguyfromsk Apr 1, 2026 +2
I'll set the mentions of Biden +/- at 10.5
2
stunts002 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Then he'll cowardly run away, as usual.
2
Oghier Apr 1, 2026 +199
It will be "Mission Accomplished," with an attempt to convince his base (and the market) that we reached all our goals: - Regime change has happened (to a more extremist, less restrained regime now dominated by the IRGC) - Iran's arms manufacturing capabilities destroyed (but you can make drones in a garage) - Straits of Hormuz are not our problem (as if the world economy and oil markets somehow don't affect us) - NATO is useless (in offensive wars of choice, in theaters far from Europe) Just remember, he's not talking to us. He's talking to the constituencies that matter *to him*. That's MAGA and Wall Street.
199
Life-is-beautiful- Apr 1, 2026 +39
You forgot about the very bad JCPOA deal Obama got with Iran, which if not repelled would have prevented this whole excursion. And the $400 million which was airlifted to Iran. Now, it is a steady $2million per ship.
39
immanentfire Apr 1, 2026 +10
True. But it should be: ‘the VERY BAD JCPOA. So bad. So very bad. The worst, most terrible deal EVER.’ etc
10
ConfederacyOfDunces_ Apr 1, 2026 +9
American went into this with 3 demands in February: - Iran must stop funding all their proxies - Iran must stop enriching uranium - Iran must give up their missile program As of today, none of that has happened. They still have all 3, plus they now have the Strait of Hormuz so they have 20% of the global oil economy by the balls. 5 weeks ago, Iran only controlled 4% of the oil, which was the oil they exported. So much f****** winning.
9
WMINWMO Apr 2, 2026 +8
No they didn't. There was no consensus from this circus of an administration of what the goal of this whole thing was. Some said regime change, some said nuclear, some threw out other random excuses. There wasn't any solid goal in mind and thats why this whole thing has been a pointless waste of lives, time, and money.
8
wormki Apr 1, 2026 +23
Either that, or that a full invasion is going to go like, now. Or that he permits the use of nuclear weapons if Iran does not "back down" Yes, I think he is that crazy. Yes, I'm looking at the next few months and years very pessimistic. With good reason i believe. Let's just hope we can wake up to the world still standing tomorrow and that our loved ones are safe and sound.
23
m3g4m4nnn Apr 2, 2026 +3
Unfortunately, I'm with you. Now that that war machine is in motion, I don't think he will be able to turn things around on a whim as he is used to doing.
3
ratedsar Apr 1, 2026 +5
"Temporary pain" as oil prices go up, his version of Ford/Carter saying to wear a sweater if you're cold. Maybe he'll say, who needs a summer and spring vacation, you can only take one this year.
5
DoublePostedBroski Apr 1, 2026 +4
>Strait of Hormuz is not our problem I’m 100% sure he’ll go off and say how “our allies are horrible and not helping and NATO is a scam.”
4
Brilliant_Version344 Apr 1, 2026 +74
It will go something like this we have won, we obliterated their military, it’s not our problem to reopen the straight of Hormuz and nato is horrible
74
OllyDee Apr 1, 2026 +25
I think he’ll spend some time shitting on us Europeans too but yes, I think you’ve nailed it.
25
fantasmoofrcc Apr 1, 2026 +2
What are the favorites on Kalshi for the speech and just go with that
2

Wait until about 15 minutes before the speech starts and look for any abnormal bets…
3

“Geriatric bullshit with an undertone of sex offender”. That sounds like a department store salesperson selling a customer on a hypothetical Trump Cologne.
2
Plane-Breakfast-8817 Apr 1, 2026 +52
While he talks about "leaving soon," the 82nd Airborne and the USS Tripoli (with 3,500 Marines) have just finished arriving in the Gulf. You don't send the world's most elite "entry-point" forces to a region if you are planning to be gone by next Tuesday. They are there to give him the "Option" to strike if the April 6 deadline fails.
52
DaveShadow Apr 1, 2026 +34
I can see a world where he thought putting them close would scare Iran into giving up, and now they haven't, he knows there is zero appetite to see the soldiers actually dying for him.
34
Enjoyer_of_Cake Apr 1, 2026 +26
He doesn't care and will always command others to die if it means his ego spares a bruising.
26
Northern-Canadian Apr 1, 2026 +11
The American people had zero appetite for another war yet here y’all are. He’ll do it anyways.

2

I wonder how many have?
3
TheElbow Apr 1, 2026 +6
I think he’ll continue military operations until the end of April, hoping he may have a slim chance to get something more. Sixty days is the limit that the executive can perform a military operation without congress, allowing 30 additional days for withdrawal.
6
SonOfMcGee Apr 1, 2026 +4
The legislative and judicial branch are controlled by his sycophants. There is currently no functional mechanism to enforce any limits on Presidential power, no matter how obviously it’s spelled out in the law.
4
Gloomy-Cover7669 Apr 1, 2026 +8
You wouldn't do that and I wouldn't do that but Trump might do anything. He would move soldiers and ships around like checkers on a board if it amused him to.
8
TheWastelandWizard Apr 1, 2026 +2
They're taking Kharg or destroying it, doesn't matter how many service members die.
2
Brief_Hospital_1766 Apr 2, 2026 +2
Taking it would be the worst option of the three. Iran is in an existential war, they wouldn't surrender no matter how much of their country is enemy controlled.

With a third carrier group heading to the area, it shouldn't be a mystery as to what the next move is. Well, maybe some market manipulation before that happens

"We won. We obliterated their missiles spectac...spec...uh...bigly. We destroyed their military. They have no defense left. They're losers that can't fight. Julius Caesar and Giggus Khan called me with tears in their eyes and said 'Sir there has never been a better war than yours.'" "So we are sending 100,000 troops and expect death. This war...did I war...not a war. Pete doesn't like that...will last for 20 years and we can't change Presidents during a war. It's never happened. I get to enjoy my ballroom. Have you seen it? There has never been a more beautiful...architects keep saying. They all say. Ballroom. Then there's Cuba. Marco...where's Marco. Marco Cuba. The Democrat losers don't want to get soldiers killed. Losers. We will war Iran Cuba. Fidel Castro has to go. He called me and said 'Sir please don't do us.' I do whoever I want. DJT."

It's not hard to predict how this will go. Things we know for sure: He'll say anything to make the markets go higher and oil lower. He thinks he's never been wrong about anything ever. He'll never admit to being wrong about anything. He only cares about making himself wealthy and powerful. He takes credit for things he perceives as positive, while having nothing to do with them. Anything negative he blames on other people.
7
OCAU07 Apr 2, 2026 +7
So U.S is pulling out after starting a war and leaving the straight unsecure then expecting those who rely on shipping through the straight to now secure it.' The speech was full of contradictions, are they a threat now or not? If not, why 'Send them to the stone ages'
7
FiscalCliffClavin Apr 1, 2026 +6
Screw him I’m just gonna watch the launch footage. That footage gives me hope.
6
GeneralCommand4459 Apr 1, 2026 +7
Yes finally the right kind of rockets 🚀
7
End3rWi99in Apr 1, 2026 +7
He's going to tell everyone the war is over and that we won. Markets will rally tomorrow. We will see another highly suspicious polymarket bet or two. Then ground troops will hit Kharg around 6PM EDT tomorrow evening, or 2:30AM IRST. I have no idea what will happen after that. Probably nothing good.
7
Striking_Wrap811 Apr 2, 2026 +2
Friday after the markets close would be a bad time to be on Kharg Island
2

Maybe no invasions due to attention span?
3
Coffeemugofdoom Apr 1, 2026 +6
Seems we're taking our ball and going home. We went in, caused a ton of damage, destabilized everything, and then we're just throwing our hands up and getting someone else to clean up our mess. Pretty much the Trump playbook. Oh, and claim victory for an invented goal (that's also been moved like a billion times).
6
smltor Apr 1, 2026 +5
Boots on the ground is almost guaranteed to be pretty big US losses and Trump is way too much of a coward to fix his name to that. I think Hegseth must have realised his days are numbered now and might not be so tough when he has to go to prison over his actions (Trump can be pretty f****** fickle in his support). From outside it is fun to watch kind of. If you revisit the "you didn't wear a suit" talk with Zelensky you can see that Trump only piled in after someone else started it. I sometimes wonder if the whole interview had been played on most news instead of snippets if people would have very different opinions of the actors involved. Vance looked like a boss arse licker and trump like a coward jumping in when someone else could be blamed for it. With the "you're cowards for not helping / didn't need you anyway / still can't do the job" I am rethinking which currency I'll pay for oil in. I kind of need that currency to guarantee my deliveries (I don't buy oil, but if I did... I mean I'm not a fan of china but...)

3

It will be meaningless anyways. More important question is: Will he manage not to shit himself this time?

He will brag about how he got the Artemis rocket off the ground and energized the space program going again, making America great. He will rant about the middle east and europe and how he achieved America's goals, making the world safer. Finally whine about how NATO didn't help

2
VanCityPhotoNewbie Apr 2, 2026 +2
So what will happen if he leaves the strait 1.) Iran will now fully control the waterways, 2.) US middle eastern allies will either starve to death or will need China to negotiate in good faith to let Iran allow them to ship oil. Overnight the US influence of the Middle East will go to China. 3.) Iran will continue to only allow non-US currency trades for oil. US petrodollar will fall. Will collect their toll to recover their economy 4.) US bonds and the US dollar will tank leader to hyper inflation and rising interest rates 5.) Israel will need to pay retributions to Iran or the war will continue.

He's going on at "prime time" because he's pissy about SCOTUS and needs the instant gratification of "high ratings" on the most desirable tv timeslot which hasn't really meant anything in 15 or so years.

Word salad, word salad, Biden's fault, word salad, Peace Prize, word salad. There, I just saved everyone a headache.

Create a problem, make a lot of noise and break stuff, declare victory, and leave it to others to clean up the mess. It’s nothing new, he’s been doing it his entire life.

If you actually plan on sitting down and watching this live, I don’t know how to help you.

They said no to the east wing ball room, so now they’re gonna do the west wing instead.

If his next move isn’t to drop dead on stage and “accidentally” take his army of stooges with him, I would be very disappointed.

Ballroom tirade, Artemis moon mission distraction, calling news sources corrupt and how he won the war against Iran another time
2
Sweatytubesock Apr 1, 2026 +1
Total obliteration. Also, “so unfair that the lunatic radical courts are interfering with my illegal ballroom”.

Ok, this regime’s doublespeak has infiltrated my brain because at first glance I thought the headline read “peacetime address on Iran war”. They’ve gone back and forth on the “it’s not a war / it’s a war / we’re working towards a ceasefire / we don’t want a ceasefire / allies please help us / we don’t need anybody’s help”, it’s completely crackered my brain.
