Yeah, I guess that's what they said before 9/11, doesn't pay to be that cocky. A superpower that everyone is slowly turning on, including their own people...it's not going to be pretty for any of us.

I’m really hoping for a slaughter in the midterms and impeachment. And in 2028 a landslide victory for the left and we can really apologize and ensure that that won’t happen ever again

I think it's a given impeachment doesn't work anymore right?? As for the American people being able to dethrone Trump, considering a lot of people seem to feel he personally controls the military, good luck, let's see if democracy endures.

The trouble with Trumpian diplomacy is that it's profoundly undiplomatic, because the main point isn't actually to make deals and settle issues but just to publicly humiliate the other side as much as possible.

Not even that. He's f****** up the worlds economy to get rich. This f***** is obsessed with hoarding wealth.

It assumes that the other side will be intimidated into a deal always. That only works if the other side isn't, vindictive, fanatical, bloody-minded, calculating, differing in their objectives, etc. I could go on...

I mean that is how the Russian and Chinese regimes are working since their revolution at this point, Trump is just the perfect enabler for such very similar regime were victimhood and persecution on a governmental level are so heavily mixed that you can't really make them apart. It's just an "US" version of such system that exist in those countries. And when i say that this is not a rhetorical picture, this is how those regimes work in a day to day basis, behave and survived, and how they manipulate each individuals lives in their population. It's quiet literally why their spying network is so in depth and rooted in people lives. You just have to read few lines about Xi, Putin or Trump trails in their lives to see the obvious similarities. This is exactly the kind of regime the West fought since for ever, but somehow it cropped out yet again. It's not new, it's basically what Greek philosophers fought against and we founded our values on, because well they were personally targeted by those and their entire work would loose meaning if they had to force their logic to please some political power.

"more moderate" and "much more reasonable." They don't seem more moderate and more reasonable to me.

Even if they were, the ones on the US/Israeli side aren't moderate or reasonable.

Oh yeah, any peace deal accepted like that is bound to be long-lasting!! Just as long-lasting as a deal Trump made with Iran last time btw, in 2017. For anyone wandering, it was called JCPOA, and was touted as the 'best deal ever, a terrific deal', but it lasted about a year. From Wikipedia: "While the U.S. left in 2018, the other signatories (the UK, France, Germany, China, and Russia) tried to keep the deal alive." Same with the Trump deal with Canada, which he called great, and in 2025 called the worst deal ever made, and anyone who signed it a loser (it was him). At this point, anything the guy says should just be treated as a joke. And it pretty much is treated that way tbh...

Obama made the deal, Trump tore it up.

The art of the strong arm deal... It only works with a strong hand. He has absolutely no response for Iran calling his bluff and no way to get out. At this point he would accept any deal if they opened the strait... no one is buying the bravado at all.

I think he will go down as one of the most ruthless presidents of all time and not in a good way.
