Wait till he finds out about the rest of the world
1
j_ds Apr 22, 2026 +1
He clearly hasn’t seen the lego music videos the Iranians have been making..
1
ntermation Apr 22, 2026 +1
I heard that he only sees specially curated footage of the war and sometimes just AI videos of explosions. They can't give him too much real Intel cause he will just blurt it out. And they can't show him anything going wrong because he will throw a tantrum.
1
InNominePasta Apr 22, 2026 +1
He would probably legit try to nuke Tehran if he saw them dog him via lego music video
1
witchofpain Apr 22, 2026 +1
He wants to do that anyway.
1
InNominePasta Apr 22, 2026 +1
Does he actually, or is it just part of his insane bully “negotiating” style where he doesn’t mean it but he wants the other side to think he’s serious?
1
LucidiK Apr 22, 2026 +1
It's a strategy that he is used to working; but didnt realize that at this scale, there is no 'bigger authority" to leverage into forcing the other side. The man that constantly complained about 'lawfare' being used against him suddenly doesn't know what to do when there is no 'daddy' to force their hand. I will never understand how we decided this is the type of person we would like to give power. I would be taking privileges away from a child that acted like this. And instead we give him the most we could conceive? How can anyone be legitimately rationalizing this?
1
saynay Apr 22, 2026 +1
He’s been itching to use a nuke since his first term. Remember when he wanted to use one on a hurricane?
1
Puzzledandhangry Apr 22, 2026 +1
I don’t think even he knows. I honestly think he’s mentally gone, (my guess dementia) so a lot of the blame is on the morons around him letting him do this.
1
pikkuhukka Apr 22, 2026 +1
but as the morons around him are most likely gaining money from playing along, well...
1
witchofpain Apr 22, 2026 +1
That’s the thing. He IS mentally impaired. And he likes power. He is loving being able to enforce his will with things like ICE and the military. He absolutely would love to use the ultimate weapon. It makes him feel powerful. Raping kids was never about sex. With him or any other rich scumbag. It’s about the power.
1
Catch_022 Apr 22, 2026 +1
It's the ultimate weapon and no other president has used it since WW2. If he thought he could get away with it, he would absolutely use it.
1
unabashed_nuance Apr 22, 2026 +1
Wouldn’t be shocked if he is convinced it has already been done. Advisors are feeding him clips of a gutted city, children burning, and even press conferences he’s done taking a victory lap with Heggy. It helps him fall asleep at night.
1
Effroyablemat Apr 22, 2026 +1
There are rumors that he demanded nuclear launch codes.
1
karmagoddess123 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Thats probably why he got kicked out of the situation room
1

Just Stalin things.
1
Reddit_Hitchhiker Apr 22, 2026 +1
They just hit three ships. Things are going to get hot.
1
AthleteHistorical490 Apr 22, 2026 +1
He would be asking for the nuclear codes again if he saw those. Let’s not.
1
nukedkube Apr 22, 2026 +1
World Population: Approximately 8.3 billion people.. assumung the rest of the world despises the predicament he's put us in.. U.S. Population: Approximately 349 million people. Trump Approval (U.S.): Current job approval ratings from major pollsters like AP-NORC and NBC News hover between 33% and 37% of U.S. adults. 115,170,00/8,300,000,000 x 100 =1.39%
1
ImSabbo Apr 22, 2026 +1
There is, somehow, a non-zero number of people outside the US who support and like Trump. Hard to judge how many though.
1
1eternal_pessimist Apr 22, 2026 +1
It's likely along the lines of that 1.39 percent. Possibly higher but not much. Let's call it 10 percent for arguments sake. That accounts for psychopaths and people with an IQ below 80 (1 percent and 9 percent respectively).
1
commutingonaducati Apr 22, 2026 +1
I'm in Europe and I know people who support him. Because he is anti-woke and ended 8 wars (allegedly). That he is a war mongering child-rapist, is just hearsay. And all presidents have some dirt on them, so Trump is no different. They think the news in our country is very leftist and puts trump in a bad light. The fact that Trump is now f****** up the world concerns them little, they believe he has a plan and we should not judge Trump until it's over and we can fully grasp his strategy.
1
witchofpain Apr 22, 2026 +1
Wait til he finds out about the Lego videos.
1
grouch1980 Apr 22, 2026 +1
I was listening to this [video](https://youtu.be/Sr5kZn8-CLQ?si=VfluJUC_NohgO4MP) by a British psychiatrist named Dr. Russell Razzaque where he talked about how Trump’s actions are driven by his need for humiliation. I found the idea absurd at first, but it is making more and more sense as time goes on.

**From the article:** Trump responded angrily on his social media platform to an article in the Wall Street Journal, arguing the newspaper “LOST ITS WAY!” He described the WSJ columnist Eliot Kaufman as an ‘IDIOT’ over an article headlined: “The Iranians Take Trump for a Sucker”. Kaufman wrote: “How many times will President Trump pay Iran for the same real estate? Twice he has announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and twice he has given up U.S. leverage in exchange. Yet the Strait remains closed, as Iran’s regime demands more”.
1
graeuk Apr 22, 2026 +1
you can tell that they wrote framing the Strait as real estate specifically to upset Trump who prides himself on property deals. Seems it worked.
1
1eternal_pessimist Apr 22, 2026 +1
Yeah but honestly reaching out to provoke an enraged delusional narcissist with that much power isn't a great move. As frustrating as it is to pick off his base one by one is - more articles should be appealing to things they understand (conceding that his base doesn't read WSJ although his backers might)
1
DecembersDragons Apr 22, 2026 +1
The readers of the Wall Street Journal like to make money. Being wrong don't make you money.
1
vargyg Apr 22, 2026 +1
Trump is a suckerer, but what leverage did he give up?
1
Ok_Kaleidoscope3644 Apr 22, 2026 +1
The straight is international water which no country can claim control of. Trump has implicitly given them control of something they didn't have before. He's now also talking about giving them $20B to buy their enriched uranium (an offer they rejected).
1
arul20 Apr 22, 2026 +1
I'd say they realized the opportunity and have seized it.  He basically empowered them to realize that they had more leverage and power over USA and world.  Iran ≠ Venezuela
1
Brixmis51 Apr 22, 2026 +1
If I was the Iranians, id be asking for it in Yuan, that'd upset things.
1
vargyg Apr 22, 2026 +1
Where does this $20bn number come from? Trump always denies paying anything.
1
After-Snow5874 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Is your standard for truth based on Trump’s claims? The $20bn figure was reported by WSJ, Axios and others last week and over the weekend. It’s the reason the administration continues to be bewildered at Iran’s seeming refusal to “make a deal.” I mean, the US negotiating team had been heading to Islamabad for negotiations since Thursday of last week up until cancelling them last minute yesterday when Iran rejected to attend. They’re not even flinching at threats to wipe out their entire civilization. The US leverage over Iran seems to have evaporated at this point which is an alarming realization. These assholes had no plan for this war that they started.
1
RampantPrototyping Apr 22, 2026 +1
Possibly releasing frozen assets. Paying them with their own money
1
Fresh_Individual5500 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Most places that reported on the number attribute it to Axios. But, the $20 billion is in frozen Iranian assets, so technically they won’t be being given the money, just access to their own money that has been frozen.
1
Apprehensive_Sky1950 Apr 22, 2026 +1
The leverage of credibility?
1
vargyg Apr 22, 2026 +1
He gave that up decades ago.
1
SweetHatDisc Apr 22, 2026 +1
That his threats mean anything. The Trump Administration is learning a lesson that the rest of us learned during Millennium Challenge 2002; that while we can bomb the shit out of Iran, we really don't have any capacity to prevent them from shutting down the Strait of Hormuz. Until a couple of months ago, these were theoretical war gamed scenarios, but one that responsible adults understood were close enough to reality that they never really fucked with the situation. Some idiot decided to f*** with the situation, and allowed Iran to demonstrate that they're capable of stopping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, and there's nothing the US can do about it but stomp their feet and ask the Iranians to open it, which is where we're at now. At some point the Trump administration realizes that they have very little leverage left to manipulate this situation. They likely already have. After a bunch of posturing, they will announce some kind of "deal" and call it victory, but the math is already out there- Iran can shut down the Strait of Hormuz whenever they like.
1

planet_janett Apr 22, 2026 +1
Don't think Iran is the only one who thinks that.
1
GreatGojira Apr 22, 2026 +1
Trump surrendered to Pakistan and Iran. He gave them an indefinite ceasefire. Without getting anything. The strait is still closed, so gas will gradually still go up.
1
Taliesin5899 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Gradually?
1
GreatGojira Apr 22, 2026 +1
In the states it will. I think the market are soft reacting short term to his statements, but will unfortunately adjust long term. Especially now if Trump just leaves this situation at a ceasefire and the strait stays closed. I'm sorry for our actual allies who have to deal with Temu Mussolini..
1
PenIsBroken Apr 22, 2026 +1
You have any left?
1
przemub Apr 22, 2026 +1
Yes, because markets are still pricing in a big chance of the strait getting open soon. This assumed probability will be gradually getting lower, until the strait gets either open or indefinitely closed.
1
yoursandforever Apr 22, 2026 +1
The President labors under the delusion that people around the world respect him.
1
colcatsup Apr 22, 2026 +1
I know it’s an idiom but “labors” is really not the right word here. He doesn’t labor at all.
1

Right, more like bumbles along under the delusion.

1
tool672 Apr 22, 2026 +1
A hit dog will holler. The reason he cares is because it’s true. He’s got no plan. It’s all eratic behavior, he doesn’t even know what he wants to end this war. First it was regime change, their citizens to raise up. Then it was their enriched uranium. Then it was the straight to open up. Then it was to obliterate their nuclear program. Then it was back to the straight. This guy isn’t crazy he’s just stupid and grossly incompetent.
1
colcatsup Apr 22, 2026 +1
Now it’s just “I want their oil to make a lot of money” which was really at the root all along. But Iran is not Venezuela.
1
Significant-Owl-2980 Apr 22, 2026 +1
No. He is compromised by a foreign agent. He is doing someone else’s bidding. Trump is a traitor and is actively working with outside groups to destroy the US.
1
kataflokc Apr 22, 2026 +1
We in the rest of the world can’t imagine anyone not taking him for a sucker - or even taking him seriously for that matter
1
Firm_Balance_8285 Apr 22, 2026 +1
I think everyone treats Trump as someone who can be easily manipulated - including Kaufman, who favors war.
1
vargyg Apr 22, 2026 +1
People who have worked with Trump say he's easy to manipulate but impossible to control.
1
Humble_Monk3506 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Very easy to control if you have leverage (see how Putin and Netanjahu does it).

Only a sucker or a deliberate saboteur of America would have launched the war at Israel + Saudi Arabia's urging. And only a sucker would take the bait from Rupert Murdoch's WSJ to continue this campaign of idiocy.

First he was lead by Israel into the war.  Now he's being led by .. PAKISTAN in negotiations??  Next in line to advise him .. North Korea?
1
1eternal_pessimist Apr 22, 2026 +1
Hmm you make a good point but would North Korea offer any advice worse than the people he usually listens to?
1
arul20 Apr 22, 2026 +1
One big fraud got conned by other frauds.  He's also choosing to surround himself with more frauds.  If he thinks it might make him money and/or pull up his ratings, he'd listen to North Korea.  No idea what they would talk about though - probably how to scam the entire world together?
1
1eternal_pessimist Apr 22, 2026 +1
I think he would probably be quite interested in their military parades and how to get some of those sweet medals their generals wear. Simple stuff, he's a bit too lazy for world domination

Many people over a myriad of countries take Trump for a sucker, including Iran. Trump must be so isolated from what's actually happening.
1

I can’t wait for Iran to sink a US warship or two just to further humiliate Trump and Hegseth. Take them down a few notches in their rhetoric.

Trump thing is saying something and it manifesting. Either by his cabinet doing the work or by business bowing to him. He has had this feedback loop and his cognitive decline is real, that he thinks he can do this with Iran. Trump thinks if he says the Strait is open and Iran capitulated, it will just happen. Then he gets frustrated when it doesn't. He has no ability to think or plan a way out. It has been 7 weeks and it will keep going until the economy grinds down or grown ups take over. Who these grown up are, I don't know..
1
Mother-Definition501 Apr 22, 2026 +1
Exactly. His social media posts are quite delusional, but they read exactly like manifesting and affirmations.
1
homer_lives Apr 22, 2026 +1
This what happens when you have all the Mainstream Media treat his tweets like truth, instead of like how thr Iranians mock him for it. After seeing their responses, I full believe if our media had done the same he wouldn't have been elected.
1
kl122002 Apr 22, 2026 +1
That mean WSJ is right again?
1
arul20 Apr 22, 2026 +1
I don't trust Pakistan to be very good intemediaries.  They basically told US a bunch of gossip that "Iran is fractured" etc.  Is there proof? Also, what are they gossiping about USA side to Iran side?  How can a messenger or intermediary party spread gossips back and forth? Not helpful to say the least, because it's creating more confusion and smoke than being clarifying!  Super unprofessional.  Trump got into this war by trusting Israel. Now he's trusting Pakistan to get him out ..  Let me get my popcorn ..
1
NamiiikazeTX Apr 22, 2026 +1
Am I Iran???
1
epanek Apr 22, 2026 +1
Trump is not a sucker. A sucker understands only part of the environment but misses a key detail. Trump doesn’t understand any detail. His entire life he’s depended on bluster and bravado. That’s all he can do. He’s a hammer when you are trying to paint your house. He doesn’t know what he should do. But worse he doesn’t know that he doesn’t know what to do. He just repeats and repeats. It’s all he knows.
