The statue of him lol.  “This is what I would look like if I lost 100 pounds and stood up straight.”

It's gonna be real satisfying to watch it get toppled in the riots one day though.

steele83 Apr 1, 2026 +37
I'm sure it will just be a peaceful tour of the building, just like Jan 6th.
37
lSleepster Apr 1, 2026 +11
I'd love to go smear shit all over its walls, but I respect the rule of law and don't expect some treasonous president to pardon me. However if your someone with no fucks to give, may I suggest a baby green and hangover yellow combo, maybe some pepto black as a homage to his leaky a******
11
Mala_Practice Apr 1, 2026 +1
Nah, remodel it to be housing for refugees, asylum seekers and the homeless, in the level of luxury the Trump family has come to expect.
1
a__nice__tnetennba Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not the building, the statue.
1
trash-juice Apr 1, 2026 +1
Make it the new center for processing immigration into the nation
1
Xikar_Wyhart Apr 1, 2026 +1
I doubt it actually gets built. The Trump family will just take the money and run.

-wnr- Apr 1, 2026 +16
Christian nationalists need a golden idol to worship. That something in the Bible, right?
16
Cleanbriefs Apr 1, 2026 +1
Someone saw lord of the rings and decided the dwarves kingdom was the model for this library https://youtu.be/KmdAgk-y0mY?si=ODEV8zR7TCQy0E4R

> President Donald Trump has shared the first images of his latest vanity building—a **book-free library** that includes a tacky golden statue of himself and shiny gold escalators.

Surturiel Apr 1, 2026 +143
We're living in Biff's timeline
143
FMLwtfDoID Apr 1, 2026 +47
Biff was based off of Trump, right? Someone please confirm or correct me bc there’s no way that character is so spot on, if he wasn’t 🥲
47
Surturiel Apr 1, 2026 +48
It was. But is was pushed to (at the time, at least) unthinkable absurd levels...
48
FMLwtfDoID Apr 1, 2026 +17
Ahh, the sweet ignorance and bliss of the late 80s/early 90s.
17
specqq Apr 1, 2026 +16
Do all the escalators only go down?
16
troub Apr 1, 2026 +1
"You have to escalate to de-escalate," ya know...
1
lost_horizons Apr 1, 2026 +5
Two golden statues, I heard.

mixduptransistor Apr 1, 2026 +1
I mean yeah this place is going to be ridiculous, but you do realize that Presidential libraries aren't just normal libraries with the President's name on it, right? It's not going to have stacks with rows and rows of books to browse. None of them really do. It's a repository for papers and artifacts from the President's time in office
1
B-Z_B-S Apr 1, 2026 +101
Trump's images of his library are also AI-generated. Also, it's not really a *library* if it doesn't have any books.
101
latchkey_adult Apr 1, 2026 +47
It's not real. This is an [actual mockup.](https://imgur.com/a/EPX45ls)

False. Here’s the real one: http://trumpresidentialibrary.org

ory1994 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Every time I click on it and it asks if I’m older than 18, I realize that so many of Trump’s victims were not.
1
Gipetto Apr 1, 2026 +1
How long before this URL is determined to be a national security risk?
1
rhinosyphilis Apr 1, 2026 +3
A library with ketchup and shitty burgers you say? What a novel idea!
3
Prize_Proof5332 Apr 1, 2026 +5
Look like the same AI designer he used for the ballroom.
5
bejammin075 Apr 1, 2026 +8
The previous worst president ever, George W. Bush, at least got some coloring books for his presidential library. Now look how far we have fallen.
8
PainttheTownLead Apr 1, 2026 +1
Why wouldn’t they include his favorite book of Hitler speeches?
1
tjarrett16 Apr 1, 2026 +52
It’s a land grab for this c***. Eric is running this one.
52
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +23
Agreed. All their ideas are so outlandish and illegal they're all going to jail over this scheme alone. By the way they keep openly pulling all these stunts in public it's obvious they're really not good criminals.
23
Into-the-stream Apr 1, 2026 +37
They do it openly, because there are literally no consequences. Trump is certainly not going to jail, and the rest think he will protect them, because gold trump statues.
37
Quiet-Spren-3774 Apr 1, 2026 +10
I bet all the wealth they amass from open corruption will keep the trump mob out of jail, and in some sort of proximity to power for a long long time.
10
100_xp Apr 1, 2026 +4
Precisely. Trump's kids aren't getting into defense contracts because it's where the money is, they are doing it for personal security
4
bkgn Apr 1, 2026 +1
If Nixon and Agnew faced no consequences despite being impeached, Trump and co certainly will not. Not punishing traitors is American tradition.
1
uksid1976 Apr 1, 2026 +3
I've made peace with Trump never going to jail because it's obvious the Supreme Court will protect him, but oh how glorious it will be to witness those around him fall. Fingers crossed
3
Cool-Mom-Lover Apr 1, 2026 +1
And if he blanket pardons them? What then ?
1
uksid1976 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Pardons don't prevent civil punishments
1
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +1
Bingo nailed it. Federal pardons don't stop state prosecutions as well.
1
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's what Trump, his loyalists and their maga propaganda machine want all of us to believe. Don't believe it. Trump's jury convictions prove he's going down and they know there's nothing they can do to stop it.
1
thejustducky1 Apr 1, 2026 +5
> they're all going to jail over this scheme alone. Love the fanfic.
5
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +1
Then you're going to really love the show fanalies.
1
SuperstitiousPigeon5 Apr 1, 2026 +3
You said they’re not real good criminals but everything they’ve done has proven otherwise. Trump is the most successful mob boss in the history of the country.
3
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +2
What is the first rule of being a successful criminal? Don't get caught. The objective is to remain hidden. The New York Mob didn't respect him because "he was crying all the time" like he still does playing the victim. That's why they never "made" him. Trump is merely cosplaying a mob boss like his reality TV show. The people around him keep him proped up because he always fails at everything on his own. They're caught too so they're all going.to prison.
2
SuperstitiousPigeon5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Trump has found a new way not to get caught. A way where it doesn’t matter if he does.
1
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +1
That's what they want us to believe. Took a jury just a few hours to convict Trump on felony fraud. Trump and Steve Bannon are openly saying he'll be impeached and they'll go to prison if the dems win the midterms. Their prison cells await.
1
SuperstitiousPigeon5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Trump’s been impeached twice, he’ll probably be impeached three times but he will not be removed while still in office
1
-wnr- Apr 1, 2026 +2
Prosecuting this entire criminal administration is going to be a voting issue for me, akin to education or defense.
2
OldSchoolBubba Apr 1, 2026 +1
We have to take it further by pursuing criminal prosecutions. They're looting our treasury and we have to get our money back.
1
spaceman757 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Not just a land grab, but a scam to get donors to build him a high rise that he will then charge 5x the local rate for space in the other 60+ floors.
2
baatezu Apr 1, 2026 +34
To be fair.. If they really made a library off the things Trump has actually read it would just be Mein Kampf, Variety Magazines and Weekly World News. Which would be super weird
34
OddestEver Apr 1, 2026 +11
It will be the only Presidential Library to hold every Penthouse magazine.
11
postmodlawprof Apr 1, 2026 +5
Yes, it would; and probably worse p***.
5
damnthistrafficjam Apr 1, 2026 +7
Are they still writing articles about BatBoy?
7
SquidFistHK Apr 1, 2026 +3
Yep. [https://weeklyworldnews.com/tag/bat-boy/](https://weeklyworldnews.com/tag/bat-boy/)
3
damnthistrafficjam Apr 1, 2026 +3
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you!
3
postmodlawprof Apr 1, 2026 +2
That’s hilarious!!
2
lisnter Apr 1, 2026 +2
I think it would be more like “Matt in The Hat” (kindergarten) and “Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb” (1st grade). Though that last one might be a bit advanced for him.
2
WilcoLovesYou Apr 1, 2026 +2
I don't want Batboy getting involved with this (at best) sleeze bag.
2
mytthewstew Apr 1, 2026 +1
Time magazine man of the year covers, including fake ones with Trump man of the year. And NY Post covers with his picture
1
IngeniousGent Apr 1, 2026 +1
Could we fill it with the Epstein files? Keep the golden statues. I want this to be a monument to his greed, corruption, and crimes against children.
1
entrepenurious Apr 1, 2026 +18
in a perfect world, it'd be the library cart at adx florence.
18
Grantagonist Apr 1, 2026 +11
After it is built I think I will gift them a *Highlights* subscription.
11
ortcutt Apr 1, 2026 +12
NYC really dodged a bullet with this one. Thank god this will be in Miami instead.
12
matthieuC Apr 1, 2026 +7
I wonder if this will be a center of pilgrimage for the cult. Of if they will move on to the next grift and pretend never having supported him.
7
DirtyBurgerCommander Apr 1, 2026 +4
It's never going to be built. They will create non-profit after non-profit taking donations and then come up with some bullshit excuse to never complete the project and just keep the money.
4
good_ole_dingleberry Apr 1, 2026 +1
The die hards can never stop supporting him. That would mean their identity for the last 12 years was build on lies and their own stupidity and they would have to admit that/come to terms with it.
1
aminervia Apr 1, 2026 +6
>However, the site is taking donations, including a button for those who wish to ‘donate more than $10,000.’ Of course it is, this is so on brand I'm actually a little embarrassed that I was surprised
6
iratedolphin Apr 1, 2026 +8
That's actually hilarious, as I couldn't see the point of naming a Library after a man I'm not convinced is literate. I bet the man has to sound out a restaurant menu. I thought, what? Are you going to fill it with pop up books? Frankly this is close to the equivalent.
8
malakon Apr 1, 2026 +2
He just says cheeseburger diet coke. Wherever he is.
2
Mikethebest78 Apr 1, 2026 +12
Its honestly something I am curious about what does an illiterate man do with a library?
12
OddestEver Apr 1, 2026 +13
Coloring books are books, monsieur.
13
threehundredthousand Apr 1, 2026 +3
I guess books are part of the gay agenda now. Gold escalators clearly aren't.
3
SwissChzMcGeez Apr 1, 2026 +2
Probably both. Pilgrimage with their friends but pretend in the workplace they never supported Trump!
2
Verum_Orbis Apr 1, 2026 +3
I sincerely believe that Trump has never read a single book, front to back, in his entire life.
3
blackhorse15A Apr 1, 2026 +1
Maybe Mein Kampf (children's edition)
1
Original-Statement-4 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Baby's First Kampf

NoPossibility Apr 1, 2026 +5
Presidential libraries are kind of suspect to begin with. They’re privately funded by presidents who campaign for private donations while they’re in office. They’re primarily used for controlling the narrative around a President’s legacy. They are not required or setup in our laws. They are simply vanity projects that have only really been done for the last 80 years or so. Trump can do whatever the f*** he wants with his own library. No one will ever take it seriously, especially if he ends ip being the one to completely tesr down the country as it seems hes doing.
5
HDRsoul Apr 1, 2026 +4
Rancid. Crass.
4
xTomBx Apr 1, 2026 +4
I guess Miami needs more gender-neutral public restrooms. 🤷‍♂️
4
Prize_Proof5332 Apr 1, 2026 +5
The statue looks similar to the one of Saddam in Baghdad.  What ever happened to that one?
5
graceful_annablack Apr 1, 2026 +3
we’ve been 'projecting strength' for years and all it got us was a recruitment crisis and talk of a draft. brilliant.
3
Robbidarobot Apr 1, 2026 +3
Presidential Backroom? Don’t think he understands what a library is.
3
WhatANoob2025 Apr 1, 2026 +3
Donald J. Trump Warcriminal library.
3
StagTheNag Apr 1, 2026 +3
Remember folks, there’s virtually no limitations on foreigners donating however much money they want to his “library fund” so this building will be built by middle eastern blood money among all the other deplorable donors you can think of.
3
shackleford1917 Apr 1, 2026 +1
A library without books is the perfect metaphor for Trump's Presidency.
1
Kokophelli Apr 1, 2026 +2
I’m surprised he’s not putting it on the mall
2
JustAnotherHooyah Apr 1, 2026 +2
Is it just one big gift shop?
2
SurroundTiny Apr 1, 2026 +2
"Crass horror"? A library with no books is spot on for him, it's completely fitting. I doubt that avid readers of The Daily Beast belong to many book clubs or haunt libraries themselves so that's a perfect level for them too.
2
Diligent-Engineer428 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Seeing how they like to plagerized..  I can see them having a bunch of projectors with videos of books from every library from around the Country.  And playing in the background, the song "Can't touch this"
2
WrongAboutYou Apr 1, 2026 +2
Maybe I missed it but was there even one non-white person in the video?
2
PhiloLibrarian Apr 1, 2026 +2
He wants his own Smithsonian dedicated to him… this is some serious Pharaoh shit Don…
2
Lanky_Salt_5865 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I think that we are watching the formation of a nihilistic religion. There is already an unquestioning fervor amongst maga that is based on no clear belief other than their leader’s infallibility despite evidence of the contrary.
2
EVcrush Apr 1, 2026 +2
Just put a c***** inside. Thats what Biff did.
2
endorrawitch Apr 1, 2026 +1
I don't think it will be book-free. There will be one hundred thousand copies of "The Art Of The Deal". For sale. And the same number of bibles. Autographed by him. Also for sale.

Responsible_Ladder25 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I just figured with the two books it would hold, The Art of the Deal and Melania, it would be a mobile library with very limited hours. But I see Vegas is coming to Florida.
1
jal262 Apr 1, 2026 +1
This sounds too real to be an April Fools joke
1
UncleCoyote Apr 1, 2026 +1
Wrong. It's filled, to the BRIM with ALL OF THE BOOKS he's ever read... ...oh. Huh.
1
wachnet1966 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Can't they find enough of his favorite D*** and Jane books to fill the library? Any books beyond those are beyond his comprehension.
1
DaChilidog Apr 1, 2026 +1
They would have to be pop up books anyway.
1
TransCanAngel Apr 1, 2026 +1
Well that sucks for anyone who thought, “Well, at least we won’t have to worry about him building a presidential library, given that he and his supporters are illiterate.”
1
RoninMagister Apr 1, 2026 +1
He doesn't read. He pays others to read and paraphrase for him. He would not be a good Magic: the Gathering player.
1
WugityBugity_ Apr 1, 2026 +1
Will 100% be faling apart before it even opens. If it gets built at all.
1
Grerex17 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Why do I hear cyberpunk music playing right now?
1
l-1-l-1-l Apr 1, 2026 +1
April Fools, I hope?
1
Niansha Apr 1, 2026 +1
All the books will be heavily redacted, that’s why he doesn’t want any.
1
Cmbell84 Apr 1, 2026 +1
On the upside, if thing does actually get built (in Miami), it's super unlikely to survive hurricanes/climate change over the next 5 to 10 years.
1
Stalwart_Penguin Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’d expect a Trump Presidential Library to be book free. I mean, I doubt Trump has even read more than ten books in his whole life.
1
Al_Keda Apr 1, 2026 +1
If I get a library card for this library, can I sign out the jet?
1
Adept-Target5407 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Does he think we’re just goanna give him our planes? Next president better repo that shit.
1
skankenstein Apr 1, 2026 +1
A library without books? How dreadful. IFYKYN.
