Trump: I won't get bored, I don't get bored Trump, more bored than any human has ever been: yeah we're done with Iran

The fact a late-night monologue is doing clearer moral reasoning than half of Congress is… something. Honestly wish networks re-aired these segments next day in primetime.

I’m baffled that half of Americans need a “show” to tell them what to think… and the other half is just doing the same with another “show”.

Most Americans don't really digest news on a daily basis anymore anyways. These comedy shows have figured out how to take these issues, make them funny and people will make time out of their day for that.

Haven’t their viewership declined since they started doing that more and more?

These shows have always been political in nature. Since day one. If you think they focus on trump too much then... buddy.... have you been paying attention? Trump has been trying to take all of our attention all the time since day one. We don't get a spare moment of him not saying some outrageous thing or tweeting some horribleness or doing something. Every f****** day. The man won't chill and the response from these shows is something of a feeding frenzy. He is low hanging fruit. But the political bias as a generic thing - these shows have always done that since day one.

Using the word "think" is, I think, a mistake. It's more vibes and feelings. But also, it's basic human nature to be reluctant to think, because real thinking is energy intensive.

Politics has become so polarising and divisive that it is tough to get a feel on what people think. Trump is an agent of chaos with no clear line of thought on anything, with a devout following among a lot of voters. Any normal politician would be cancelled a long time ago. Because of that devout following a lot of republicans are scared of talking out against him. Also it was always tough actually gauge people’s feeling on difficult issues. Edit: someone on a popular TV show saying something gives people’s thinking a direction when they are drowning in information overload.

I’m baffled that the Late Show has become entirely about politics. I mean, who cares what side, the point of the show was entertainment originally.

This guy is writing the next LOTR…can’t wait for the endless Trump allegories there, too.

So it’s bad that he got us involved with Iran and now it’s bad that he wants to be finished with Iran. Which one is it?

What is he gonna talk about in 2 years when Trump is out of office? He has no life besides this.
