May 14-15? Thats a tight schedule. Guess the art of the deal doesnt include time for the Great Wall.

May 14-15? That’s a quick turnaround. Guess they really want to get those tariffs sorted before the election.

There is no war. And besides, we already won the war on the 1st day.

LifeSage Mar 26, 2026 +1
It’s not actually delayed because of Iran, it’s just his entourage clearing the TSA line

Air force one should do a low pass over the strait of Hormuz

so he expects the war to be wrapped up by then. he wouldn’t be traveling out of the country with open hostilities still happening.

He manages to go golfing every weekend with hostilities ongoing. I don’t know I’d read that much into it.

So they went from a neutral place to in China. Trump's war weakened his position, and the change of venue reflects the new power dynamic.

It was always planned to be in Beijing.

With over 4k McDonald's locations and a national identity of submissive obedience, Trump will feel at home and no don't will say "in the history of China, there has never been a greater visitor. "So much for Feng Shui...

Chinese people are not obedient, you must be thinking of the meek Japanese. In China, if there’s a sign that says to not do something, there is a very high likelihood someone is doing that thing next to the sign. Why do you think Chinese tourists get a bad reputation? They suck at following rules and they do what they want.

Maybe on a micro scale... When you talk about the macro point of view they are completely obedient and have been for a couple thousand years. China is totalitarian... They suppress EVERYTHING they consider dissent or DISOBEDIENT. The Chinese people have given many of their individual rights away. They allow the extreme surveillance and control... That my friend is obedience. You see how I disagreed with you without giving you a down vote? Why not do the same for me? You know the old golden rule thing?

You’re so sure of yourself yet you are incorrect. That’s why I downvoted you. I’m literally visiting China right now and what you’re saying does not match my reality.

Icy_Selection_7988 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Your perception is YOUR reality.... I was merely going off of the 2000 years of history and violence towards the Chinese people by China. I had zero idea you were in the middle of actually visiting the place... That changes everything!!! Being that visiting a place DOES endow one with supreme ultimate knowledge, I'm not going to argue. Do me a favor, start carrying a sign that says 'NO TO THE RESTRICTION OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS, SPEECH, RELIGION, ASSEMBLY, INFORMATION, INTERNET' and see how many people stand right next to you. Regardless... safe travels to you!

China as a country is only 75 years old. The current leadership is only responsible for what has happened in that time. If you are talking about the history of the people on the landmass, it’s 5,000 years of history, not 2,000. I am here on a missionary… speaking to you on Reddit via internet. I just went grocery shopping at Walmart and had a Blue Bottle Coffee. I think you don’t have a clear picture of what modern day China is truly like. And being immersed in an environment will always give you a better idea over statistics. It’s like saying the American economy is strong (it is on paper) yet the affordability crisis on the ground says otherwise, because it’s a bifurcated economy. Statistics are only as reliable as the data collection process and bias allows it to be. Look up what Jeff Bezos had to say about anecdotal evidence and how that catapulted Amazon to where it is today. No hard feelings, but I think you are operating on a lot of missing information and assumptions.

Considering I have known Chinese people my entire life and my family is very close with a few Chinese families, and since I have been a part of their personal conversations about their Homeland, history, and constant suppression dating back to the early dynasties, I can say I know nothing about Chinese statistics, but rather their own personal stories, or at least the ones that left. I'm not a fan of dictators nor think people should allow one person to tell them what they should do nor believe. You can call China a 75-year-old Republic, but we all know what it really is... When you do research and learn about their history, you find out that it's been going on for thousands of years. It doesn't matter what either one of us believes, history is history. Have a wonderful day in your pursuit of convincing the Chinese people to adopt your own personal beliefs. Spread your word!
