I mean, I see this same headline every week and “rock bottom” always ends up being something stupid like 89% approval. But its 0.01% lower than last week so they can generate a new clickbait headline I guess.

you can’t talk about it the dow peaked over 50k

Impressive_Log8780 Mar 29, 2026 +1
Better to talk about how the Dow is tanking recently.
1
Gsxing Mar 28, 2026 +18
In what way were any of these outcomes surprising?
18
tracyinge Mar 28, 2026 +17
the surprising part is that he still has 36% of the country behind his stupid war with Iran
17
Bostonterrierpug Mar 28, 2026 +7
Well, every time it changes by like 0.01% they get to write a new nuclear meltdown, rock bottom, total disaster, thesaurus-grabbing headline.

2024 was Gen Z's first real-world, meaningful experience trusting a politician and political movement that will literally lie to their faces. Chalk it up to inexperience. Most of these kids were not paying any attention during Trump's first term, they were too young to care. The question is....did they learn from this experience?
44
MourningRIF Mar 28, 2026 +11
Gen Z's first real experience of what a President is was Trump 1.0. Before that, they likely weren't paying attention, and they probably thought that at least something Trump was telling them had to be true if he got to where he is. Ironically, the damaged economy he left for Biden played in his favor when those Gen Z kids couldn't ever hope to afford anything. Trump loves the uneducated.

Lol I remember my brother at 9-10 years old in 2016 saying he’d move to an orphanage in Canada if Trump won. Maybe all us based elementary schoolers should have 😭

Competitive-Ad-9404 Mar 28, 2026 +27
Many young white men believe that they can't compete with black men in relationships or with women and minorities in jobs because they hear minorities have advantages. These young men fall for white nationalist ideas.  These opinions have not changed no matter how bad Trump screws things up.
27
starmartyr Mar 28, 2026 +17
White nationalism appeals to certain types of people because it's simple. "All of your problems are the fault of bad people who aren't like you."
17
25point4cm Mar 28, 2026 +13
It’s a lot easier to blame others than fix yourself.
13
whomad1215 Mar 28, 2026 +8
LBJ had that right back in like... 1963 or something >“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

Spastik2D Mar 28, 2026 +5
They’re pure evil, same thing with every other Magat. Lying, cheating, hateful, racist, evil fucks, all rotten to the core, providing nothing to the rest of the community. I hope all of the suffering from this nightmare hits them like a f****** truck. I hope anyone that knows that remembers who they supported and cuts them out.
5
Wise_Recover_4344 Mar 29, 2026 +2
Yeah I mean you can blame the p*** industry (owned by shady people) propping up black on white race superiority as well as TikTok (owned by shady people) doing this same. There’s no truth to it but that doesn’t stop these billionaires from trying to sow division. If you can’t see that you’re blind.

MourningRIF Mar 28, 2026 +2
Plus they've seen all the videos, lol. How are you supposed to compete with a horse! 🐴
2
Kalelisagod Mar 29, 2026 +1
Why would they learn anything? What in their world changed? Now we’re white and young. Did something dramatically change for young white men? Affordable housing, healthcare, education, food all still suck and they still believe it’s a brown dudes fault. They didn’t learn anything but the same people they have always hated must be the issue.

People generally were content with his first term. That's how he won a 2nd time

Obama failures? Like saving the auto industry, helping us recover from the Republican causes crash in 2008, passing the ACA which was a monumental step forward, oh but he wore a tan suit once and liked Dijon mustard so none of that matters.
10
guttanzer Mar 28, 2026 +2
Those would be his initiatives that got blocked by the Republicans. He didn’t pull any of the bait-and-switch moves that Trump has.
2
AuroraFinem Mar 28, 2026 +2
I don’t think I’d consider republicans blocking parts of his agenda as a failure on Obama, it’s a properly functioning executive without unchecked power. That’s my point.
2
Georgiachemscientist Mar 28, 2026 +22
I'll save you a click- They say his approval rating is 42%.....which is a mite optimistic given all the other polls have him well under 40......
22
tracyinge Mar 28, 2026 +7
That means 69% in maga country and 18% in the rest of the nation.

If only there were warning signs...

But... but people refused to vote for a woman! They'd rather go for the mango head who's never taken or shown any responsibility at all ever!

ranchoparksteve Mar 28, 2026 +7
The real, actual Trump has emerged and his supporters prefer the fake, conman Trump.
7
shapu Mar 28, 2026 +4
"I can't believe he would actually do all of the terrible things that the people who propped him up promised he would do!" is the kind of thing that someone who votes on vibes and not thought would say.
4
a_little_hazel_nuts Mar 28, 2026 +7
3 out of 4 people in the 18-29 year range disapprove of Trump. Trump has made the republican party so unpopular. Anymore all Trump does is brag about closing the borders, but his immigration policies have hurt enough industries his voters are noticing if they're in those industries and it's not as popular as he thinks it is, except for a small handful of raging racists.
7
Link50L Mar 28, 2026 +5
If only there could have been some foresight, some kind of warning say ten years ago, that could have given us some foresight into this lunatic.
5

Good, start calling your local officials, representatives, senators and governors and tell them you're voting democrat if they don't have him removed from office.

Is his cult finally realizing they got conned?
3
DigLeading9650 Mar 28, 2026 +5
No. This demented lunatic will *never* lose his core supporters. You said it. It is a cult and without serious intervention that will never happen, they will go to their graves idolizing him

I’m so sick of seeing this bullshit headline every damn day.

Exactly my thoughts.
2
Rival_mob Mar 28, 2026 +5
“Rock bottom” “all time low” “republican breaking point”. All of these headlines have been regurgitated since his first term, but the reality is his real supporters haven’t changed. It gets old reading the same thing every other day
5
tracyinge Mar 28, 2026 +6
his support among the latin/hispanic community has definitely changed. Armenian and Filipino too.
6
Heffelumps-n-Woozles Mar 29, 2026 +1
Newsweek says this just about every day, but I hope they’re right
1
D3athRider Mar 28, 2026 +1
This. Read the article, guys. His overall support is still at 42%...which means it hasn't budged much from the first sensationalist articles claiming his support was at an "all-time-low." His supporter base seems to be standing pretty firm.

ProjectNo525 Mar 28, 2026 +2
When the voters who carried Trump start walking away, the political gravity gets real fast.

I don’t think he cares - he’s a dictator
1
guttanzer Mar 28, 2026 +1
That’s not rock bottom. He’s got plenty more room to fall.
1
Intelligent-Screen-3 Mar 28, 2026 +1
I'm pretty sure nothing short of divine intervention could convince his base to get his c*** out of their mouths at this point. If his alleged unpopularity doesn't affect how strongly he controls the republican party and therefore our government, it means nothing. Sweet Jesus, vote in November, guys. If you're a republican, protest by voting Dem or vote for nothing; republican leaders will not prosecute their golden boy. Don't keep him in power by electing his cronies no matter how much you don't like democrats. Our country's stability depends on this man seeing real consequences.
1
MourningRIF Mar 28, 2026 +1
Oh no.. not his approval... FFS, approval doesn't exactly matter if you don't have fair elections and you aren't willing to get off your ass to take back your country.

Pretty sure his polling numbers are great with billionaires and trillionaires though. That's why SCOTUS is fine with democra$$y based on "One billionaire, one vote".
1

Not low enough.
1
svBunahobin Mar 28, 2026 +1
The approval rating means nothing. Trump has proven over and over people will vote against their own self-interests. They would vote for a third term if they could, even if they "disapprove".
1
ctguy54 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Rock bottom = 0.00% Not there yet, unfortunately.

A 42% approval rating is hopelessly too high. As a country we are truly fucked.

Absolutely nothing can make the faithful lose their faith. They have placed all their hopes in one person and the alternative , in their minds, is a liberal hellscape filled to the brim with blue haired psychopaths forcing their kids to have gender reassignment surgery, somehow mixed with Sharia law and public execution of white Christians.

So what are they going to do about it?
1
NumberSelect8186 Mar 29, 2026 +1
Stop with the Dow being up! You think that’s because of the bankruptcy magnet’s brilliance? The markets are manipulated by touts speculating on gnats farting in an orange grove somewhere in FLA, or the advance knowledge of things like releasing fuel reserves to lower gas prices, or changes of interest rates, etc. Congressmen and Congresswomen have become millionaires on their six figure federal paychecks…how? Inside info regarding upcoming artificial market adjustments does the trick. Stocks are really overvalued again and there’s always an adjustment to follow. The orange clown in DC’s idiocity is the potential trigger that will pop the NYSE’s current bubble on which the ballooning bull market is precariously sitting.

Impressive_Log8780 Mar 29, 2026 +1
29% approval on the US economy. Across all three parties. Just out Reuters /IPSOS. November is not hard to predict........and this time, the impeachment will actually end without enablers agreeing he deserves it, but saving his big arse anyway.  Which is undoubtedly what has happened in the past.    Trump knows all too well, admitting he will be impeached after Nov.   Todd Blanche sees it too....and knows the legal consequences to many in his Cabinet are very real. Trump’s approval continues to decline for good reason. His endless lies, enriching himself and his buddies at the expense of the American people. Invading other countries and starting a war with no exit strategy at all. And so much more.

Approval ratings mean nothing these days.  Only thing that matters is how many Republican spines we have in Congress, and that current number is 0.
0
SpatulaWholesale Mar 28, 2026
... and? I feel like there should be an *and*, otherwise why does it matter? Hell, at this point it's like all the unredacted Epstein files could be released and Congress *still* wouldn't do anything. He acts like there are no consequences because there *are* no consequences. Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every day in school was, it seems, all just performative nonsense. The Constitution isn't the shining uncontestable blue print of America. The three branches of Government *aren't* co-equal. Everything has been betrayed for a schoolyard bully and a sack of cash.

Newsweeks DAILY "Trump bad poll" post. Fck this clickbait rag. They literally have the opposite "articles" in the conserv group. Do not forget, this POS rag supported Trump during the election.
