Trump is all about protecting citizens.... so long as they're white enough

Not just white, it'll depend more on who agrees with him and the gop. Don't think he's adverse to kicking anyone out of the country just because he doesn't like the way they dress that day or whatever. It's literally insane that scotus is even having to hold a hearing on this.

Gotta love the uber-passive voice. "...scholars find indefensible." But perfectly okay, apparently, to the New York Times.

To be fair, the news side is not supposed to editorialize in their stories. I doubt the reporter personally agrees with this move.

I disagree. If a house is on fire, there's a clear difference between the arsonist who's trying to burn the house down, and the fire department trying to put out the fire. Presenting both viewpoints as equally valid and rational isn't journalism anymore, it's just stenography. The job of a journalist is to inform, and that involves value judgements. Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Sometimes also How. Far too often, the "Why" of a story is never addressed.

That is... not the same, but Ok. How many years have you worked as a journalist? I've been doing it since the 90s.

Congratulations on staying employed in today's media environment! I'm not a journalist, but I respect the craft, and wish we had more people working in the industry. What publications have you worked for? And if you're maintaining that Trump is not hell-bent of burning down any aspects of the US Constitution he disagrees with, then the 1st Amendment should be on your list.

Listening now and unfortunately the court is kinda shredding each of the pro citizen talkers points. What is the 1800 def of domicile compared to 1900 def.

Yes, it does. He's taking America from "I'm a citizen because I was born in this country" to "I'm renting my citizenship", for EVERYONE.
