Trump’s celebration of Robert Mueller’s death sparks scorn – and echoes of history | CNN
While some presidents have privately resented FBI directors – a topic explored in the CNN Original Series “Standoff: The FBI, Power, and Paranoia” – Trump’s comments about Robert Mueller rank as the most openly caustic.

No irony to the fact that when Charlie Kirk was murdered, anyone that posted anything that didn’t praise him and mourn his loss was cited as being un patriotic and traitorous. I for one didn’t celebrate his murder. But I also had no reason to mourn. In this case, Trump has made it clear that when he is gone, we have his tacit invitation to celebrate, the likes of which no one has ever seen. I have already set aside some money so I can walk into our local bar and pick up a round.

I am going to be the most obnoxious I have ever been when Trump checks out. I celebrated when Osama Bin Laden died, and he put up rookie numbers when it comes to killing Americans and damaging our democracy. Trump is a classless piece of shit who openly celebrates the deaths of anyone he doesn’t like, and in this one specific case I am going to follow his leadership.

Do his supporters seem the type to appreciate irony?

Typically irony requires an IQ a bit above room temperature. I got into an argument with an MAGA who started to say “Trump 48“. I told him it was literally impossible. He argued the Congress can change the rules to give Trump a third term. I tried to tell him that assuming that was true the number doesn’t change when the president enters his second consecutive term. If Trump stays in office, he remains Trump 47. The 48 can only go to a different person. That conversation didn’t really end well. Very tough to argue with a moron. I do my best not to.

There are some very intelligent people who support Trump fully, but unlike the common MAGA who support Trump because they think he's a genius, they like him as president because he is an egotistical fool who they can easily manipulate.

I didn't celebrate his death, but when I heard about it I straight up though "huh, not much of a loss" I didn't possibly expect how the reich wing would react to it. I don't think many people were "celebrating" it like we will celebrate Trump's death. Hell, erikkka seemed to be celebrating it the MOST, it got condemned by most on the left.

And every one of the people who voted for him is just as f****** evil as he is. And every one of the people who didn't give enough of a f*** to vote at all are maybe not quite as evil, but still just as f****** responsible.

Trump is a disgusting excuse for a human being. Celebrating a faithful civil servants death is reprehensible Everyone who helped get Trump elected should be embarassed at what they've enabled.

I mean, Trump's [done](https://www.politico.com/news/2026/03/05/donald-trump-epstein-files-allegations-00816123) and [said worse.](https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/09/trump-americans-who-died-at-war-are-losers-and-suckers/615997/) He's a depraved psychopathic solipsist. Poverty, pain, suffering, and death are all just words to him. He feels nothing when confronted with these tragedies, because only *he* matters and everyone else might as well not even exist. It's a sign of sick, deeply dysfunctional society when it would elect someone like him as its f****** president.

Republicans when some random COD basement dwellers on Twitter celebrated Kirk's death who just happened to vote Dem: This is a f****** outrage! Republicans when the literal President of the United States celebrates the death of Robert Mueller, a marine veteran and Russian-interference investigator that lead to over 30 convictions and a registered **Republican:** ...

It was expected. I certainly hope dancing in the streets worldwide is expected when DJT bites the dust.

In the very least, it gives me authority to throw a giant party when Trump assumes room temperature....as if I needed it.

Very few people who comment here or thought about saying something could possibly know the level of Patriotism attained by Robert Mueller. When you say his name you can add James Comey, Andrew McCabe, William H. McRaven, Christopher A. Wray, and even Peter Strzok. These are the names that should be remembered.
