Incompetent? They seem to have completed a lot of their major goals and are on a fast track to further dissolving voting rights in the US. That doesn't sound incompetent. That just sounds malicious.

Mostly because the other two branches of government have completely abrogated their duties. Aside from a few federal judges still doing their job, the administration has almost unchecked ability to do whatever the f*** it wants. And it still does it poorly. They are vindictive, callous, brazen … but they are clowns.
